Our Stay in The Treasury hotel has been nothing short of amazing. Room was clean, comfortable and even came equipped with an voice-activated agent to assist with simple tasks like turning on/off the TV, opening/closing of curtains. Location was superb - being located right behind Raffles City, taking the metro was a breeze. Bordering the hotel also had a bunch of convenience stores, food stalls and even your favourite milk teas (chagee). Staff was also very attentive to all our needs - water, parcel pick up, deliveries sent to doors. Would like to explicitly commend Tina from the front desk, who went out of her way to help ordering food deliveries when our apps couldn’t work during the initial days. All in all, great stay in Shanghai, would not want to stay anywhere else for any subsequent Shanghai trips.

This hotel is in a great location, very close to Nanjing Road, which makes it convenient for shopping and exploring the city. The room was comfortable and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of international dishes, which I really enjoyed. The only small downside was that the seating area in the lobby was a little limited. Overall, it's a very nice place to stay. I had a truly impressive experience with both the excellent service and the comfortable room. If I have the chance to visit again, I would definitely stay here again.

Traveled with two kids. Arrived around 3 PM and there were no rooms available, probably due to it being spring break and fully booked. They assigned us a high-floor room and we went out to explore the Bund with the kids. When we came back, they gave us a corner room with a side view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. Although the front desk said it wasn't an 'Oriental Pearl view' and you couldn't see it head-on, it had everything we needed, and both kids were very happy. We slept in until almost 10 AM before going for breakfast. It was still very crowded and we had to queue for a few minutes, but despite the crowds, the food selection was quite comprehensive and the taste was excellent. Around 10:30 AM, staff even went table-to-table reminding guests that they were closing soon and to grab anything else they wanted in advance. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and accommodating, and check-out was also very smooth.

It took me a long time to choose a hotel for our first stay in Shanghai, and I am so pleased with Chalet Hotel as our stay! The location is so convenient and close to many shops and The Bund. The hotel itself is comfortable and full of amenities. The shower was nice and had plenty of hot water. Honestly, one of the best stays I’ve had while traveling in a major city considering the price, location, and service. The hotel staff were always accommodating and Lin Feng at the front desk made sure our check out and hotel pick up for the airport went smoothly. I don’t think I’d want to stay anywhere else near the Bund after experiencing Chalet Hotel. And the food delivery robot was a cute plus!

So as a solo traveler I stayed near the airport because I knew had a lot of suitcases. However I felt the day I arrived the two female staff were very rude and not willing to help at all- also as a hotel where you have guests staying there because they are flying in or out- you know they have a lot of suitcases so they need to provide better services with the suitcase arrangements because where the taxi leaves you to the hotel is a walk and bit only that but the walk is abrubted so you can’t easily move the suitcases around- on the last day the guy employee was truly helpful. But the girls need to be nicer to the clients. The pictures show outside the hotel - is extremely Hard to love the luggage’s around -

Radisson Blu New World Hotel was absolutely wonderful. I especially want to highlight Judy at the reception—she was incredibly kind, attentive and made my experience truly memorable. If I visit Shanghai again, I will definitely stay here because of her warm hospitality. The view was amazing and the location couldn’t have been better.

Pros: 1. **Location:** Excellent. Situated by the Huangpu River in Lujiazui, it's a short walk to Super Brand Mall, the Riverside Promenade, and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. It's also close to Metro Line 2, making taxis and ferries easily accessible. IFC is right across the street. 2. **Breakfast Variety:** Offers a wide selection of Chinese and Western dishes, with particularly tasty bread. Cons: **Check-in Issues:** The check-in process was far from smooth and frankly, a terrible experience. The doorman service seemed to depend on who was on duty. On the day we arrived, perhaps due to the rain, there was no service at all, though it improved over the following days. We arrived at 4 PM that afternoon, and one of our rooms still wasn't ready. We were told it would take an estimated 20 minutes to clean, but we didn't get into the room until after 5 PM. **Dated Facilities & Housekeeping:** The hardware feels a bit old. Cleanliness was just okay; for example, the bathtub didn't have a disposable liner. The shampoo and shower gel were in large, communal bottles, and the quality wasn't great. **Subpar Housekeeping:** Housekeeping only made the beds and changed towels. All our clothes were left piled on the sofa, not neatly folded, and the tables weren't tidied. The bathroom toiletries were also left as is, without any organization. **Crowded Breakfast Experience:** During peak breakfast times, it gets very busy. Table clearing was incredibly slow, leading to a shortage of available seating.

This hotel is perfect for a layover if you have an early morning flight, as it's just a 10-minute walk from T2 departures. They offer amenities like wireless charging, both soft and firm pillows, and noise-cancelling earplugs. The service from check-in to check-out was incredibly warm and helpful. They even arranged a room closer to the elevator for me when they heard I had an early flight – a big thank you to Alex!

Even though the room was spacious and the location next to the subway is very convenient, there was a noticeable cigarette smell in the room, which made the stay less comfortable. The hotel still offers good value for the price, but the smell could be improved.

This is a true five-star hotel. Though a bit old, it still retains its charm. Parking is convenient, with both above-ground and underground options, but having to input the car number every time you leave could be improved. The room was spacious, and the upgraded river view room was a thoughtful touch. I slept comfortably, the bathroom was large, the shower had great water pressure, and the high-end showerhead with separate functions was very convenient. The bedding was also comfortable, though the TV was a bit small. The floor attendants were enthusiastic and always ready to help. The biggest highlight is the 30th floor rooftop, where you can swim and enjoy the view simultaneously. Soaking in the hot tub while looking at the Oriental Pearl Tower was an amazing experience! The sauna is new, and the presence of an ice pool shows their professionalism (you rarely see this facility in other hotels). Running on the treadmill in the morning while looking at the Oriental Pearl Tower was fantastic! Breakfast offered a wide variety, truly befitting a high-end five-star hotel. My only minor regret was the absence of small wontons, but the sheer abundance of other options definitely deserves praise! All the staff were very warm and well-trained. There's a Shanghai restaurant and a Lanzhou noodle place next to the hotel, and it's very convenient to drive anywhere from here. All in all, I'll likely choose this hotel again when I come back to Pudong. Lucky to have stayed for two nights, keep up the great work!

GGuest UserOur stay at Banyan Tree Shanghai was truly exceptional from start to finish. We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary there, and the team made it incredibly special for us. They thoughtfully decorated our room and surprised us with cakes and fruits as a kind gesture. We truly appreciated the effort — it made our celebration even more memorable. Our room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and offered breathtaking views of the city skyline. We especially loved the in-room mini pool — the highlight of our stay was simply relaxing and enjoying a bath while taking in the view. Tales Rooftop Bar was another standout experience. It’s the perfect place to appreciate the stunning city and river views while enjoying drinks. They offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, and we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary snacks as well. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of Western and Chinese options. Aside from the buffet selection, guests can also order freshly prepared dishes like noodles and eggs, which are served hot — a wonderful touch. The staff were incredibly professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. They made us feel valued and were always ready to assist with a warm smile. The overall ambiance of the hotel is peaceful and relaxing, making it a perfect retreat despite being in a vibrant city like Shanghai. We highly recommend Banyan Tree Shanghai and look forward to returning in the future.

AAnonymous UserChoosing this hotel was definitely the right decision. Its biggest advantage is the location, being so close to the Bund, which made planning our itinerary incredibly convenient. The room was very clean, and all the essential amenities were provided, ensuring a comfortable stay. The gym and laundry facilities on the fourth floor were a great bonus, adding a lot of convenience to our trip, and we used them frequently. The front desk team deserves praise for their quick responses and excellent attitude. Overall, the hotel performed consistently well in all key areas, offering great value for money.

Ssisirain1During the Chinese New Year holiday, the hotel was quite busy, and rooms were scarce. However, Roman Zhang, the manager at the front desk, kindly upgraded my room for free, which saved me a lot of waiting time. The room itself was quite spacious. The hotel also has a gym, a swimming pool, and a lobby bar. Plus, food deliveries can be brought directly to your room by a robot. Overall, it was a pretty good stay.

GGuest UserTraveling with a family of five, the front desk was incredibly thoughtful and upgraded our room to a larger family suite for free. The location is super convenient, just a 3-minute walk from Yuyuan Garden metro station and 7 minutes from Dashijie station. The staff's service attitude was excellent; they were quick to assist with any requests. You can even see Shanghai's iconic landmarks from the outdoor balcony. This will definitely be our first choice for our next trip to Shanghai!

AAnonymous UserPros: The pool boasts stunning views, including the Oriental Pearl Tower, making for a beautiful night scene. I highly recommend guests experience the pool, and the gym right next to it offers equally great views. The Cantonese restaurant, Shangxi, on the second floor, was excellent. The portions were just right for two people, and the fried rice and smoked fish were outstanding. It’s a restaurant I’d definitely visit again – a real pleasant surprise. Cons: The room facilities are outdated. The bedside outlets weren't working, and the water heater cover was difficult to open and close – everything felt old. The room's decor also felt very dated. When checking in, the front desk staff didn't proactively provide information about breakfast, the pool, or Wi-Fi, including their respective floors and times. I suggest providing proper training on standard operating procedures for five-star hotel employees. Neutral: The breakfast variety was acceptable, neither too much nor too little. However, I'd suggest kitchen staff refrain from using foul language where guests can hear it in the lobby. You can order different egg dishes, and the taste was decent, neither good nor bad.

GGuest UserThe best location ever! 🤩🤩🤩 in a historical building 😍😍😍 that is amazing!!!!! and now I would like to share some information why it’s not perfect: Not enough usb chargers for two phones and a power bank….an air conditioning (heater) was pretty loud🥺 and the hotel stuff wanted to enter my room in the morning (well, they were insisting to enter) when I wanted to sleep so much after several nights with no sleep at all… and I still don’t understand why, because they talk in Chinese……. Anyways, it’s a good hotel to stay and explore beautiful Shanghai 👌

GGuest UserDuring my recent stay at Chateau Star River Hotel, I found the facilities to be excellent and the interior decor tastefully designed, creating a luxurious and elegant atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and well-furnished, contributing to an overall pleasant physical environment. However, the service quality did not match the standard expected from such a well-appointed hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk staff mistakenly assigned me a children’s room, which required me to return to reception and resolve the issue—a rather inconvenient start to my stay. While the room I was eventually given was comfortable and spacious, cleanliness left much to be desired. The bathtub, in particular, had two dead flies and a hardened stain on its surface, which was quite disappointing. I did encounter staff members who demonstrated professionalism—for example, the gentleman managing the breakfast check-in was courteous and efficient. Nonetheless, such instances were the exception rather than the rule. On one occasion, I decided to book a massage at the hotel spa to relieve some back pain. The treatment, which cost approximately $50, was average and initially unproblematic. Unfortunately, at the end of the session, the masseuse offered me an additional service, the nature of which I will refrain from describing here, but I trust it is not difficult to imagine. I declined immediately. Regardless of the hotel's level of control over this matter, given that the spa operates within the premises, I found this situation deeply inappropriate and upsetting.

GGuest UserI brought my child to Shanghai for a trip during Chinese New Year and choosing the Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai was truly a wise decision! The location is excellent, right next to the Suzhou River with amazing views! The room was super spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable to stay in. My child had a blast in the hotel pool, and the staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was also delightful. Definitely worth a huge thumbs up! Penny also provided very attentive service!
