The location is fantastic, right next to major shopping areas and attractions, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and commuting. There's no need to worry about transportation at all. The overall quality is excellent, the environment is quiet and pleasant, and it was a very comfortable place to stay. This check-in experience gets full marks and is definitely worth recommending to everyone. From check-in to check-out, the entire experience was superb. The management is well-organized, and the attention to detail is impressive. Even for a longer stay, there was no discomfort whatsoever. Truly a great review.

The room had excellent natural light, and the housekeeping was meticulous with no unpleasant odors. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm. Check-in at the front desk was quick and thoughtful. The water pressure in the bathroom was stable. Overall, it offered outstanding value for money and convenient access. Very satisfied. 076.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel Shanghai Hyland. You truly cannot beat the location! Right outside the door is Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, making it incredibly easy to step out for shopping and dining with the family. For quick snacks and essentials, there is a very convenient convenience store right on the other side of the property. Plus, the Metro station is only about two blocks away—a very easy, flat, and walkable distance, even if you are managing bags or traveling with kids.
The room itself was spotless and well-maintained. After a long day of walking around Shanghai, we always appreciated coming back to a room where the air conditioning was nice and cool. The bathroom was fully stocked with a complete set of amenities, so we didn't have to worry about missing any essentials.
The daily breakfast buffet offered a great variety to start the morning. There was a fantastic selection of fresh breads, several coffee machines to keep the parents caffeinated, and an impressive mix of local Chinese cuisine and American classics. Tucked away at the end, you'll find the popular egg station, right next to the meatloaves and hot dim sum plus noodles.
There was even a dedicated Korean station, which was a unique touch.
The breakfast food is delicious, but the menu doesn't vary much from day to day. If you are staying for a week or longer like we did, it can feel a bit repetitive. We wished they would rotate the choices a bit more.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay. Between the unbeatable location, clean rooms, and extensive breakfast options, it’s a highly recommended, stress-free base for families visiting Shanghai!

We expected more for the price, but it is not bad. Not a 4 star for sure, but fits into a good 3 star category. Location is not great, not walkable to many places and even the riverfront promenade here is not the greatest. Taxis to anywhere will take a while. But the rooftop does have a fantastic view. They could have designed a better space u p there as it is not cozy nor pretty with the fake grass the way it is now. Breakfast was so-so with the food cluttered in a small room that gets crowded easily. AC is strong on top of the food making it very cold. Room was okay, bed quite small and door with gaps leaking lots of light during the night bothered us. They offer you a gift if you leave a 5 star review during check-out. Not a good sign..

After a long search, I finally settled on this hotel-style apartment! The location is truly unbeatable, right in the heart of Lujiazui, next to Century Avenue, making subway travel incredibly convenient. The surrounding commercial area is well-developed, with 96 Square, Century Link, and Bailian Century all within walking distance. All the amenities you could need are right there. The apartment itself boasts a modern, minimalist design that's very appealing, and the 24-hour security gives great peace of mind. The room is spacious, bright, and doesn't feel cramped at all. The home appliances are very practical; it's fully equipped with a microwave, steam oven, washing machine/dryer combo, and a refrigerator, making for a worry-free and comfortable stay. Outside the lobby, there's a small garden with a lawn, perfect for a stroll or letting the kids run around – it’s really nice.

The reception team was very friendly and professional, and the room was clean. However, the bathroom was not at the expected level, and there was a lot of noise coming from the neighboring rooms. The room was also very small. In addition, there was disturbing construction and maintenance noise coming from the nearby building.
When I booked the hotel, its rating seemed excellent, but after staying there, I found it to be average rather than excellent.

Disappointing Executive Experience - Would Not Recommend
Rating: 2/5 (Mediocre)
The only saving graces of our stay at the Mercure Yu Garden on The Bund were the great location and the fact that the cleanliness of the hotel was up to standard. The rest of the experience left a lot to be desired for a hotel of this chain.
We booked an Executive Room, but honestly, it didn't feel like one at all; it completely failed to meet the expectations of that category. To make matters worse, the air conditioning malfunctioned, making our stay quite uncomfortable.
The service and customer care were the weakest points:
• Lack of information: No one informed us that there was a self-service laundry room for guests on the second floor.
• Terrible laundry service: Since we weren't told about the guest laundry, we sent our clothes out through the hotel service. Not only did they charge us an exorbitant amount, but they also returned it late. I actually had to go and track it down myself because they wouldn't deliver it to our room.
• Breakfast: We only tried it once and decided not to go back; we didn't really like it.
In short, you pay for a ”premium” service that you simply do not receive. I would not recommend it. They seriously need to improve their communication and how they manage their services.

AAnonymous UserA huge thank you to Deslin for the incredibly thoughtful and attentive assistance during my check-in! From the warm, welcoming smile as I walked in, to patiently explaining the hotel's facilities and the surrounding area, every detail made me feel so comfortable. What moved me even more was how Deslin noticed my travel fatigue and proactively helped me upgrade to a quieter, more comfortable room, even thoughtfully preparing welcome fruit and a heartfelt handwritten note. The check-in process was efficient and smooth, and throughout, Deslin maintained a gentle tone, answering all my questions, which instantly helped me shed all my travel weariness. This genuine care and professional service truly define what it means to feel at home. Kudos to Deslin, and I look forward to meeting such an outstanding person again on my next stay! 🌟
XxiaoyaokeeThe room was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, and having self-service laundry facilities was very convenient. The hotel isn't far from the Bund; you can take bus routes 33, 55, or 123 directly there in one stop. The Bund's night view is beautiful, and iconic landmarks like the Bottle Opener (Shanghai World Financial Center), Egg Beater (Shanghai Tower), and Syringe (Oriental Pearl TV Tower) are definitely worth visiting. The observation deck can get crowded, so you'll need patience. Although there's a reservation time, you can arrive early without any issues.
AAnonymous UserA 4-star hotel in Putuo Jing'an, located on Changshou Road. The location is decent. After checking in, I could use the gym for free, and there was also a laundry room. When I first got to my room, it had a bit of an odor. I asked the front desk, and Melody kindly upgraded me to another room for free. I had a very comfortable and satisfying stay.

NNingmengfengmiyouzinaiTraveling to Shanghai with my family for the May Day holiday, we chose to stay at the Yangtze Hotel, and instantly, we were transported back to the glamorous old Shanghai of yesteryear 🌃. This historic building, dating back to 1933, is incredibly charming. The colorful dome in the lobby and the vintage carved details everywhere exude an air of elegance. It boasts a prime location in the city center, with convenient subway access to all parts of the city and numerous shopping districts nearby. In the mornings, we enjoyed watching the city come alive, and in the evenings, we'd lean on the balcony, admiring the night view. It was so peaceful and relaxing, washing away all the fatigue from our travels – truly the most healing sanctuary for our May Day trip to Shanghai. The breakfast was varied and delicious, and there were more foreign guests than Chinese, making it feel like we were abroad.
QQinghexuxianzhiGot a room upgrade, which was a nice surprise! The hotel is very close to The Bund, and Yu Garden station is within walking distance, making transportation very convenient. The room was quite soundproof, and unlike other hotels on this trip, there was no sewage odor. Breakfast was also good with plenty of options. Overall, I recommend staying here.
QQianlifujiHad a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to transportation. While the room facilities aren't the newest, the bedding was comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. The front desk staff were quite friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Overall, the hotel's environment and cleanliness are far superior to express hotels in the same price range. Highly recommend.
Wwinnie_519519Traveling with family, I was very satisfied overall. The hotel is close to all the major attractions in Lujiazui, within walking distance, and there are many large shopping malls nearby, so everything you need for food, clothing, housing, and transportation is readily available. The staff were attentive and friendly, always quick to respond and handle any requests, resolving issues thoughtfully. My child had a very comfortable stay. The facilities are complete, and guests can relax and unwind at the hotel in their free time. The excellent location coupled with detailed and efficient service makes it a top choice for accommodation in Lujiazui. Highly recommended.
AAijaneThe hotel service was great, and the location was decent. However, in April, there was no air conditioning in the room, which made it a bit hot, so I had to ask for a fan. It was quite upsetting; out of all the hotels I've stayed at in China, this is the first one without AC. The staff said it wouldn't be available until after May because the weather in Shanghai is still cool. Yet, last December, both hotels I stayed at in Harbin had AC, even though it was winter. I won't be staying here again.

GGuest UserThe hotel offers excellent service, both in the rooms and at the restaurant. We even received a complimentary dinner buffet with our one-night stay. The restaurant itself has a wonderful ambiance, and the variety of food is outstanding. I especially loved the red date tea and passion fruit tea. The hot pot selection, including the beef and live shrimp, was also top-notch, and they even had baked lobster and seafood soup. Breakfast was great too, and the room had a fantastic view!
GGuest UserHonestly, I never expected such an amazing experience at this hotel! I just picked it randomly, and I was completely blown away.
Right from booking, the service was incredibly thoughtful. They proactively reached out to confirm all the details before check-in, so I didn't have to worry about a thing – it was so relaxing. Penny and Constance were wonderfully helpful, and the concierge was always on hand, efficient and reliable. The room itself was huge, spotlessly clean, and beautifully maintained. The view from the window instantly put me in a better mood. Although it's located in a busy area, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful – I felt completely at ease.
The hotel restaurant's food was also perfectly to my taste, delicious and comforting. There wasn't a single thing to complain about during my entire stay; I felt relaxed and free the whole time. Next time I'm in the area, I'm definitely choosing this place again!
