"Took us some time to understand how things function in the room, but we finally got it. We missed the AC most. Although the city is at almost 2300 m alttitude, it can get hot in the summer and there's only a narrow window in the room. Too little to cool it over the night. No fridge means no cold drinks either. And also the shower nozzle is not fully functional. Water is fighting its way out of that 😵 But there is a nice lobby and also the room looks good. We did get a surprise snack around 10.00 pm. All put together I would say 'Better try one of the other hotels in the neighbourhood.'"

"My last night in Xining, I chose this hotel mainly because it's close enough to the train station. The hotel's underground parking lot seems to have a limited number of spaces (similar to the Holiday Inn Express I stayed at before). You need to get a handwritten pass from the front desk to enter and exit without paying for parking. I arrived around 3:30 PM, and they said the room was still being inspected, so I had to wait a bit before getting the room card. The front desk also gave me two complimentary vouchers for afternoon tea on the top floor. I checked it out later, and honestly, it felt less impressive than the breakfast's dessert, fruit, and beverage selection. 😅 I got a room on the 20th floor with views of the mountains to the north and south of Xining, so I guess you could call it a ”mountain view + city view” room. Breakfast was pretty standard. The local specialties from Qinghai were 'sanzi' and 'huahua' (I think that's what it was called, also a fried starchy food). Similar to other HUAZHU hotels I've stayed at, this one had many tourists from eastern China. Around 8 AM, the restaurant and elevators became particularly crowded. Goodbye, Xining! 👋"

"The hotel experience was great! The room was super spacious and even had an oxygen concentrator to help with altitude sickness. The location is really convenient; you can see the salt lake right from the room. It's only a 7-minute drive to Chaka Salt Lake. They also gave us complimentary yogurt and a small gift. There are plenty of dining options downstairs, plus a Mixue Ice Cream & Tea and a Luckin Coffee nearby. The service was thoughtful, and the bedding was comfortable. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Chaka!"

You don't have to go far, as the hotel's second-floor restaurant serves authentic Northwestern cuisine. The room's facilities were new and complete, with a fresh and elegant ambiance. The decor was simple yet cozy. Complimentary disposable toiletries, bottled water, and tea were provided. The hotel maintained strict hygiene standards; the bedding was changed after each guest, and the entire room was meticulously cleaned, with no dust in even the trickiest corners. Overall, everything was excellent. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xining.

Staying at the Boway Hotel was an absolutely fantastic experience! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the bus stop, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The room was clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation and no unpleasant odors. The facilities were well-maintained, and both the air conditioning and WiFi worked perfectly. The staff were warm and attentive, handling check-in and check-out efficiently, and even proactively offered local sightseeing tips. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh ingredients. It's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

The hotel is connected to the train station. I had trouble finding the parking garage entrance at first, and the staff weren't very patient when explaining it later. Also, there's no air conditioning, so it was a bit hot, and the fan was quite noisy. Otherwise, everything else was okay.

During my trip around Qinghai Lake, I stayed at the Kaiyuan Hotel in Xining, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is very close to Xining Station, within walking distance, which is super convenient for catching high-speed trains. The front desk staff were very dedicated and proactive in helping with any issues. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, and the restaurant was spacious. They also have an underground parking garage, which is great for those traveling by car. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the bedding was very comfortable. The hotel's surroundings have a well-developed commercial area, making shopping and strolling very convenient. It's close to Xining's shopping streets and night markets. Highly recommended!

The room was decent, but some details felt a bit basic. The first room we checked into had a strong sewer smell. However, the front desk and staff were very proactive in addressing the issue, and the room they moved us to next door was much better. When we checked out, the staff kindly helped us take our luggage to the car, which was a definite plus. The room had central air conditioning, and the front desk mentioned that the cold air would stop after 11 PM. It turns out that Xining's weather cools down significantly at night, so it really wasn't needed. I even had to put on a long-sleeved shirt when I went out at 10 AM the next day.

Highly recommend this hotel! The location is excellent, right next to the train station, just a few minutes' walk, which is super convenient for catching a train. The room is very spacious, open and not cramped. It also has air conditioning, which is central but you can control it yourself, very convenient. The most pleasant surprise in the room was the humidifier, which made us first-time visitors to Xining feel very comfortable. The entire room was spotlessly clean. On this business trip to Xining, I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Xining Chengdong the entire time, and my overall experience was fantastic. I have to especially commend Julie at the front desk; her meticulous service made me feel incredibly welcome. The hotel is located on Bayi East Road in Chengdong District, right next to Wuyue Plaza, making dining and shopping very convenient. It's also not far from the highway entrance and Xining Station, which is great for both driving and public transport. As a newly opened hotel, the lobby design is elegant, and the room amenities are brand new and complete. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a wide view, and the room was spotlessly clean. The 24-hour gym and self-service laundry facilities are well-equipped, and the breakfast buffet offers a rich variety, including local Qinghai specialties like yak yogurt and甜醅 (sweet fermented oats). I arrived feeling exhausted in the evening after a long journey. Julie greeted me with a constant smile and efficiently handled the check-in process. Seeing my heavy luggage, she proactively offered to help carry it and patiently explained the room facilities, Wi-Fi password, laundry room, and breakfast times. When I casually asked about self-driving routes to Qinghai Lake and local food spots, she patiently outlined an itinerary, even recommending niche attractions and reminding me about precautions for high-altitude travel. When my room card stopped working, I contacted the front desk and Julie came to resolve the issue within minutes, without any pretense. Her service was professional yet down-to-earth throughout, without any rigid formalities; she genuinely thought about the guests. While good hardware is a hotel's foundation, warm service is what truly adds value. Thanks to Julie's thoughtful service, my travel fatigue disappeared. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Xining, and I highly recommend it to everyone!
