"Me and my friend had an amazing stay at your property. Reception staff named ‘Dari’ was very friendly and very helpful on our check in. Room was nice and has a very comfy beds. Breakfast was so delicious, plus very friendly and very accomodating Filipino staffs. Big thanks to the tall guy on the breakfast(sorry we forgot his name) for the excellent service. We will definitely come back."

"I stayed on Sat~Sun, and there was a public parking lot diagonally across, so parking was free. (Zagreb public parking lot: Saturday 15:00 ~ Sunday free) The accommodation was much bigger than I thought. The facilities were also good. The breakfast place was small, so it would be good to eat when there were no people. Breakfast was delicious."

"One Rude Staff Member Ruined an Otherwise Decent Stay I stayed at Esplanade Zagreb Hotel with high expectations given its historic prestige, but one employee’s unprofessional behavior significantly tarnished my experience. Upon arrival, I mistakenly entered the hotel’s parking area as the parking gate opened. After realizing the error, I proceeded to the lobby, completed check-in, and moved my car to the designated drop-off zone for valet service. At this point, a parking attendant aggressively confronted me—hands on hips, speaking in a condescending tone, and demanding how I’d accessed the area. His demeanor was more suited to scolding a trespasser than addressing a paying guest. To be fair, the front desk and concierge staff were perfectly polite and efficient. Had I not encountered this particular employee, my overall impression would have been positive. But for a hotel branding itself as a luxury establishment, even one hostile interaction is unacceptable. A guest’s entire perception can be undone by a single moment of poor service. The incident casts doubt on the hotel’s training standards. Why does such a disparity in staff attitudes exist? I hope management addresses this, as no amount of century-old tradition excuses rudeness. Until then, I’d hesitate to return or recommend Esplanade Zagreb without caution."

"The hotel is located in the city center, about a 10-15 minute walk from the main square and 20 minutes from the upper town. Zagreb is great for city walks, so it doesn't feel far at all. The hotel service was very warm and friendly; the front desk was always happy to help with anything. The room facilities and breakfast were satisfactory for the price. There's a railway behind the hotel and a tram right outside, so there's some noise, but I didn't think it would affect my sleep. However, those with poor sleep quality might be a little bothered."

"Ten thousand times more beautiful than I imagined! Maybe it's because I checked in so late, but they upgraded me to this huge room. It's absolutely gorgeous with an amazing view, and the hygiene is excellent – very clean and bright. Highly recommend to everyone!"

"I was informed by email in advance that there was a large event at the bar downstairs that day, but I didn't think it was so noisy. Rather than sound, the deep bass sound is very loud, and earplugs and noise canceling are really meaningless. I have cancer from 12:00 to 3:30 in the middle of the night. It was really painful. If you receive an email saying that there is a large event, cancellation is free, so we recommend cancellation."

"I only now stay at this hotel when I am in Zagreb. From the moment you walk through the main doors and into the reception area, you are warmly acknowledged and greeted. You are a valued guest and are treated like one. Check in process is smooth and seamless. The room is well-appointed and given the time of the year, cosy and warm. The bed wa super comfortable and the pillows offered enough support to ensure a good nights' sleep. The bathroom was spotless and the heated towel rail was much appreciated. If you are so inclined, the mini bar is stocked and there is also excellent room service. The buffet breakfast is sensational- the best in Zagreb. Something for everyone and for all dietary requirements. The one thing that always impresses me here is the fact that all employees and acknowledge their guests- from the room attendants to the kitchen staff. I will alway come back to the Astoria Zagreb. Thank you for looking after me."

"The hotel was comfortable and conveniently located. They were also very thoughtful and prepared a birthday cake for me when they saw it was my birthday 🎂, and it tasted great. There's also parking available. Overall, it was a great experience."

"Located  close to bus station; room slightly  more dated than appears on the booking site; besides that enjoyed staying in the room with big bed and comfortable mattress; nice bathroom/shower; fridge in room: tv with apps loaded incl Youtube and Netflix; only complaints would be no safe in the room and the  bed pillows could be a bit smaller; breakfast offering was varied; hotel appears to be well run with breakfast area being well-managed by staff, engagements with hotel reception were pleasant and efficient and room cleaning was done promptly"
