Hotel is fancy and clean. Love the Japanese style room and also the hot spring included in the hotel. We check-in late at 8pm and we felt warm welcome by the concierge staff as the staff helped collect our luggage’s and arrange sending them to our room. The check-in staff are inflexible on the late check-out request and she seems only wants to sell the membership account. It’s a bit hard feeling of the way she tell us a BIG NO if we don’t join the membership for the late check-out. End up we didn’t request it anymore as we didn’t like been “force” to do so.

On short notice, I was looking for various accommodations, including business hotels. I chose this one as I only needed a room for the night. The price was very reasonable, and it was excellent.

Transportation: The hotel is right next to Changbin Station, very close, so there's no need for a shuttle. Room: The carpet in the room had a strange, foot-odor-like smell, as if something had been spilled on it. However, the bed faced a scenic window, which was quite nice, though the curtains weren't blackout. Hot Springs: The outdoor hot springs weren't particularly clean. My friend, who has allergies (but usually doesn't react to topical exposure), had an allergic reaction after using them. Entertainment: There's a game room with activities like table tennis, which doesn't require reservations. You can just go in when it's empty, which is pretty good. Food: The breakfast and dinner were fantastic, no complaints there. The restaurant also had a great view, and I even saw a rainbow in the morning. The snacks were good too.

Facilities: A bit old-fashioned but very clean and well-maintained. Cleanliness: Very clean, even cleaner than Mitsui. Environment: Having a balcony is amazing! The air is fresh, the scenery is unbeatable, and taking a walk by the lake during the day is simply blissful. Service: The staff are mostly Japanese and don't speak English, but check-out was super fast and the shuttle bus was very punctual. I hope to have the opportunity to return to this hotel again in the future. It has a large room, a balcony, is very quiet with few people, and the environment is exceptionally beautiful.

What surprised us most about this hotel was the amazing breakfast! There was so much variety! It's very close to Hikone station. It seems that it even offers bicycles for (free) use. We thought of going for a short bike ride in the morning but didn't have enough time--needed to get to Kyoto (only an hour away) quickly. This hotel makes an overnight trip to see beautiful Hikone castle very feasible.

It was very clean, had all the amenities, and I especially liked that the basic skincare products for women were DHC products. There was a wide variety of rice balls for breakfast, and I was very satisfied. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

There are not many choices on this side of Lake Biwa, so we came to this one-bed, two-dining restaurant. The food is so-so, but unfortunately there isn't much food nearby. Breakfast is okay. Normal Western breakfast options have no special extras. The most special thing is that there is a large beach outside the hotel. I was going to see the sunrise, but the weather was bad and I was a little disappointed. Overall it was neat and comfortable.

The room view is wonderful and quiet. Free shuttle bus between Ogotoonsen and hotel, it takes abt 5’min ride time, very good. The hotel restaurant staff are friendly and polite. We stayed 3n and the food menu were changed daily, very impressive. The indoor and outdoor onsen are perfect and relaxing. I will recommend others go there, very good experience.

Check-in is only possible at the designated time. You need to use the self-service check-in machine, which was slow due to lack of familiarity. It's convenient to walk to the station.

This hotel is surprisingly child-friendly. Children are given a gachapon and a welcome drink upon check-in. But the most comfortable thing is the bed and pillows, which can be adjusted for height and firmness. The bed was just the right firmness! The bread breakfast was a pleasant surprise.

Amazing
TthewandercuratorAfter a crowded Kyoto, I love the peaceful and tranquil environment of this beautiful onsen hotel-ryokan and charming castle town. Everything about the hotel speaks of relaxation and well-being. It's only a 7-8min walk away from Hikone Train Station but there is a hotel shuttle that leaves at 9, 10 and 11 am if you need a drop off. Pick up could probably be arranged too. The hotel offers a pretty outdoor terrace with Castle view, an on-site spa with massage, a library lounge with free drinks till 10pm, a foot reflex corner and a compact onsen with a silk bath (all with Castle view) and hot stone benches. I had the whole onsen to myself in the evening, so it was very relaxing. The staff are kind and lovely too, making an effort to explain all the services and amenities in English. The buffet breakfast was also one of the better ones I've seen in my trips to Japan. If you're visiting the Castle, the entrance road is right outside the hotel. The main castle road is about 5-10 min away but you will pass by a famous Japanese confectionery, Taneya and Club Harie. Their souvenirs are one that even the Japanese cherish. I would wish to come here again with my partner one day. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

GGuest UserBeing right next to the train station and a supermarket (and 100 yen shop!), this hotel is very convenient! It was great to find a washing machine and dryer within the men's public bath area--this allowed me to start washing some laundry, relax in the bath and then free massage chair, and then take my clean clothes back to my room. Breakfast offered a lot of variety--it was wonderful! A bonus was that the hotel had three bicycles available for free rental (during the time I stayed there--this is perhaps a seasonal amenity). This allowed me to ride to the ferry to Okishima one morning (note: it takes one hour to reach the ferry and then one to get back to the hotel, so plan accordingly).

DDingzhishiyangjinluBecause it's a newly built hotel from last year, the soundproofing is excellent. Once inside the room, I couldn't hear anything from next door, and there were no internal phone lines, so the privacy was exceptional. Regarding the special services, there's a four-language guided tour upon check-in, and you can choose your preferred pillow (softness and height, which was great for someone like me who prefers a firm pillow). Then there's a welcome drink session with unlimited alcohol and soft drinks, and no restrictions on bringing your own food, so even without dinner, you can still have a pleasant time. Moving on to the public bath area, you can choose five personal care products (body lotion, face masks, facial cleanser, etc.) upon check-in, which is quite nice. The public bath itself is fairly standard, but unfortunately, the vending machines on the same floor don't carry milk. Those hoping to experience Japanese bathing culture might be disappointed; hopefully, the hotel will add milk to the vending machines. The breakfast the next day was very plentiful, and the staff quickly added more food, ensuring that nothing I wanted was unavailable, which made up for the slight disappointment of the previous day. Also, because my partner had lost her bracelet at the beach the day before, the staff thoughtfully kept it safe, for which I am very grateful. Furthermore, the staff's recommendations for local attractions and restaurants in Nagahama made for a wonderful experience. I hope the hotel will continue to improve based on my review!

GGuest UserA great choice for travelers looking for convenience. The hotel is well-situated, making it easy to access transportation and nearby restaurants. The Onsen is a wonderful touch, and the breakfast is delicious—though I wish they provided a bit more time for guests to enjoy their meal. The rooms are clean and comfortable. A pleasant stay overall!
