Family Hotels in Bahia, Brazil

"O hotel tem seus pontos positivos e negativos. Confesso que fui com uma expectativa alta devido a vídeos e comentarios sobre o local, mas me decepcionei d+. Não sei se foi devido ao dia inoportuno que fui, mas a localidade do hotel deixou a deseja uma pouco. A primeira coisa que descobri no hotel por conta própria com a minha família, já que não fomos informados sobre isso, é que o hotel faz parte de um condomínio, e quem mora por lá tem acesso a tudo do hotel, mas quem é hospedado não tem acesso a tudo do condomínio, pois ao andar em um certo local do condomínio, para ir a praia com a minha família, fomos de imediato parados por dois seguranças de bicicleta que nos fizeram retornar para um caminho mais longo, eu, minha esposa e minha filha de 2 anos. A abordagem não foi grosseira, mas foi ríspida e incômoda, como se fossemos ”meliantes”, já que os mesmos ficaram nos seguindo como se fizessemos algo grave, sendo isso absurdo, já que o hotel está dentro do condomínio, porque motivo não avisam no check-in onde deve e onde não deve andar, pois não dar para saber já que tudo é aberto, dúvido que qualquer um que tenha ido de primeira viagem não tem ser surpreendido com essa limitação, caso esse não tenha sido avisado. Outra decepção foi que no dia que fui com minha família, havia alguns trabalhadores do próprio condomínio atuando com o cortes de árvores que ficava no parquinho, crianças brincando e galhos caindo no parquinho, risco de alguma criança se machucar, nesse quesito não vi seguramça bloqueando a área para evitar esse risco, o mesmo ocorreu ao andar com minha filha pequena e ser surpreendido com uma moto jogando veneno na rua, quem tivesse na hora inalava aquela fumaça de veneno, e porque motivos não avisam os horários que ocorrem isso para evitar esse constragimento, me sentir como um estranho no qual não era bem vindo ao ambiente. O único ponto positivo somente foi a praia e o atendimento dos funcionários, pois até para dormir foi difícil, travesseiro muito alto, eu e minha esposa acordamos com dores, e no banheiro, a pia saia alguns insetos ao ligar a torneira. Mas enfim, de toda essa ocorrência, para quem até aqui leu, fica a critério em ir ao local, eu já fui em vários ambientes de Salvador, Deville, Gran Hotel, etc..., eu e minha família todo mês reservamos um momento de lazer diferente, mas definitivamente o Bahia Plaza Hotel é o local que não retornarei nunca mais."

"Stay: day 15/03 to day 19/03/2025 with breakfast. Hotel service and security: They control the entrance and exit for the security of guests. Sympathetic and service officials reminded us of the Check-out and that if it was in our interest, we could extend the daily, but we should make the request until 11:00 (we normally made the Check-out before 12:00), to extend I didn't inform myself of the values!!! Clean: Towels, clean bed linen and with a smell of washing and dry at the time. Breakfast: Buffet with tapioca and omelet made at the time, with coffee machine, various juices and yogurt, bread and cake varieties, fruit variety, cheese bread and cocktail, a lot of variety for all tastes, all very tasteful. Beach: Nice but not including sunguards and chairs, you have to pay directly in the beach bark, cost 10,00 all day + consumption. Restaurant: In the hotel there were 2 restaurants, one with buffet including pizza rodizio and drinks 99.90 per person, another restaurant a La carte was very expensive. In the buffet you could have the dish option for 35,00/40,00 without drink, I believe it would be a better option even for guests."

"Pros: * spacious clean room * good breakfast opening at 6:30am sharp (doors are locked before then), with lactose-free milk and gluten-free options * okay pool area (no greenery though) Cons: * the A/C was weak, but after running it for one day the room was sufficiently cool (you do need a card in the slot during that day...) * no ”Do not disturb” sign to hang onto the doorknob * the desk in the room was small and very annoying for laptop work (round, glass) * the chairs in the room were not comfortable at all * out of all the staff, only one front desk person spoke English * no laundry facilities * no business room * old slow elevator * window didn't insulate from the street noise that well, but I used 33 dB NRR earplugs to block the noise that came through; there are also many rooms that don't face the street * the front gate didn't open automatically with my key; had to wait for staff to open it; other times it was left open"

"Room spacious and clean, bed comfortable, sheets and towels good quality, AC works well and is quiet, breakfast absolutely great with excellent coffee and outstanding offerings, check-in fast and friendly. I wish we were staying at Novotel Salvador longer. We had Seafood Risotto at the restaurant and it was very generous with the seafood, but took about an hour so bring a book if you plan to eat dinner here."

"I really liked everything about the hotel until it was time to check out. The reception staff didn't seem to know if I had paid for all my restaurant expenses, even though I had the receipt machine's proof in hand. They kept holding me up to confirm if everything was paid. I found this very annoying because when we arrived, we were informed at the restaurant that consumption was to be paid on the spot and not charged to the room number. So we paid for everything with Pix as we went. And in the end, they still weren't sure if everything was paid. I found it super strange. We are simple people traveling as a family for the first time, but it felt like they thought we were poor and trying to skip out on the bill, even though everything was already paid."

"A cozy, spacious room, well equipped, worried with all details to please guests. The hotel restaurant is wonderful... Another special point, which deserves the attention of the officials, mainly Marcelo, Clariane, Waanderson, Bruno, Pipi, Nai and Adson ."

"Ótimo atendimento. Grande variedade no café da manhã. Localização excelente. Piscinas de água quentinha. Só que as toalhas de banho nem sempre estavam disponíveis e tínhamos que pedir na recepção. De duas a três vezes, corria um blackout, pelo menos no nosso apartamento. Nada que prejudicasse, pois logo a energia voltava. Mas para nossa filha autista, esses blackouts eram um grande problema, porque ela tem muito medo. Talvez o hotel pudesse orientar ou investir em uma infraestrutura melhor para o pessal que volta da praia e usa as piscinas. Muitos não passavam por um banho para tirar a areia e, com isso, as piscinas do hotel acabavam pagando o preço. Na parte da manhã estavam sempre limpinhas, mas ao final do dia, tinha muita sujeira, principalmente de areia, acumulada no fundo."

"Room was without a bathroom, I asked for 2 days and only arrived on the day of going away ... Reasonable breakfast. Hotel well located. Installations compatible with the price."
