5-Star Hotels in Ankara Province, Türkiye

I have visited the hotel for a business meeting and I got very pleasant surprised by it and its staff. The people in the hotel and the staff at the reception were very supportive and helped me with some urgent issues that appeared at the time of my stay. I am very satisfied and would love to come back if I have the chance.

REVIEWING AFTER YEAR LONG STAY: living outside your house for working purposes, could become lonely and unsettling, but, in our case, after all these months, we felt blessed by calling Grand Mercure, “Our Home” when in Turkey. Below goes a complete and very well deserved review. Everything starts at the front door, where Mr. Gorkem, Mr. Mertcan and Mr. Oktay would welcome us guests with their friendly smile and politeness. Specially Mr. Gorken who always welcome us with a sincere “Welcome Back”. Continuing to our suite review, again, I would like to highlight Ms. Gul’s endless kindness and expertise with not only cleaning and maintaining the room impeccable and working flawlessly, but her personal little touches to make us feel cherished and loved. Also daily, we would like to point out Mr. Sinan, bringing to our door, not only water, but also easy and sincere smiles, excellent communication and friendly approach. The Breakfast is also amazing, with its continental buffet style loaded with fresh and delicious fruits and treats carefully prepared everyday. But again, even with all this, I would like to highlight mostly the bright smiles that welcome us every single morning. Starting with the outstanding supervision of the kind and cheerful Mr. Ibrahim greeting us by the door, to Ms. Gamze serving our dishes with a great care and making sure everything goes smooth also the two amazing expert chefs Ms. Dilara and Ms. Münüfe that deliver amazing Omelets and also “A La Carte” Poached eggs, Eggs Benedict and even fresh Sashimis to die for. The hardest part is to keep our diet under control here with all these delicacies. More than ever, despite how comfortable, beautiful and very well kept are all the installations of the hotel, including our suite, what sincerely, at least for us, makes the whole difference here is the kindness, the empathy and the care of their employees and we both have no words to express our gratitude. They really go beyond to make our staying memorable, comfortable and relaxing. And we are convinced that it must comes as a result of the amazing, friendly and deeply emphatic management of Mr. Murat and Mr. Onur.

The hotel is old and starting to show its age, bed fine, internet is dreadful, having to keep logging on, very frustrating, TV keeps freezing can only assume it’s the same internet issues, price for B&B &190 so not cheap, asker about the lounge now I’m here and told its €40 per day, breakfast rate here is €25 per day, with the lounge access you can get breakfast, so asked if I could credit my breakfast and book the lounge to be told no, basically everything is set to extract money from you, good member for some time, also an IHG member with top status, would save you money and book the Crowne plaza for half the price, location is next to very old mall with a lot of cheap items. The escalators to take you down do not work, escalators up or working, think they are trying to save money. I’ve stayed at a number of hotels in Ankara and not the best, but guess it good for the American standard of hotel.

Ordinary hotel, average feeling. The facilities feel old, the room is small, the waiter is very considerate, the location is good, the service is good, and the breakfast is small.

I think Americans do expect a different level of facility and service than non-Americans. For starters, my room at night got to 27.5 Celsius. I called the front desk, and there was no English speaker to help. So I ”slept” or tried to sleep in a really hot room. The thermostat wouldn't let it get past 24.5 Celsius which is about 76 Ferinheit. I think by America standards that is not a typical room temperature, especially for a hotel. In the morning, at 9:00 AM actually I had my host explain to the front desk, in Turkish that my room was hot, and the thermostat doesn't work. They said they'd address it. I return at 5:00 PM. Nothing has changed, and room still not cleaned, in spite of leaving the light on for cleaning. Still hot. Back to the front desk. Very hard time explaining to the staff. They said it would be an hour before they can fix the AC. I have a 7:00 dinner, and I'd like to do some work, and freshen up. Really annoying. Then you can add it is a non smoking room that smells exactly like smoke. The room has 1 towel, and no wash cloth. That's annoying. The bed is hard too. The lobby bar is not really staffed, and they don't speak English either. That's fine, I am in Turkey, but it is left without staff more than it has staff. There is a 27 inch TV too, which is weird. Either have a TV big enough to see, or don't. A little TV is more annoying then not having one at all. The hotel is safe, and clean. I can't see staying here or recommending it.

Banyodaki malzemeler çok kaliteli. Kahvaltı ***et yeterli ve iyi ürünler servis ediliyor. Biz akşam yemeğinde pizza sipariş ettik çok lezzetliydi. Lobi katında starbucks cafe mevcut. Personelin tamamı çok kibar ve belli ki işleriyle ilgili de eğitim alıyorlar. Özellikle ön büro personeli çok güler yüzlü ve yardımseverler. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.

There is a very steep slope up to the front desk of this hotel, and it gets blocked when there are too many cars. It is rare to turn on the TV once, and there are programs in various languages. The hotel's breakfast buffet is okay, but it's too wasteful for me. It's basically milk and fruit

The hotel service is very good, the breakfast is full, the fruit is fresh and there are good cherries. The hotel staff is friendly and English is fluent. Also helped us upgrade to a suite, and will stay again next time. Eating around, shopping is convenient, arrive in five minutes. A true American hotel, several times better than the same hotel we stayed in in Istanbul.

This is the hotel to stay in this area, and actually if you don't mind riding the subway (nearest subway station is couple of minutes away by taxi), this is one of the best places to stay in Ankara. Large rooms, cleaned daily. Very customer friendly and always smiling staff. Delicious and rich open buffet breakfast included in the room price. Lunch and dinner are also provided at the hotel restaurant, if you prefer to eat there. For those who want to shop or window shopping, Podium Shopping Mall is next to it. We did not use its SPA, pool or gym but I have read good reviews about them too. Certainly this will be our choice hotel when we visit Ankara again. The hotel itself is relatively outdated and quite worn in many places. Carpets, parquet in the restaurant, mirrors in the bathrooms to name just a few points. Beds and matresses are ok. Bed linen and towels partly with holes and very heavily worn. Wifi in room works well. The staff at the breakfast service seemed less professional and not friendly. First and foremost the very arrogant restaurant manager. A small, unsympathetic middle-aged man with glasses. You never had the feeling of being welcome. Quality of food was ok but definitely not a five star standard. Only the young and really warmly friendly lady at the breakfast reception should be emphasized. Staff at the reception desk as well as the porters and housekeeping extremely friendly and competent. All in all, this address is more of a three to four star hotel. Condition, appearance, restaurant staff and quality definitely do not deserve five stars.

due to Covid-19 the gym and spa were closed, so I cannot comment on the hotel's facilities. Also, the buffet for breakfast were closed and they served breakfast in wrapped plates, Jambobs, cheese, jam, etc. It was OK but not great. The service was good. the receptionists could speak English fluently and they helped me to find my way around the city and made a copy of few documents that I needed. The wifi speed and availability in the whole hotel was great. also the safe in the room was big enough for my 16 inch laptop. Loved the shower as well. I had a nice view on 11th floor. In general, my stay was satisfactory.

We stayed two nights for family in a new beautiful hotel holiday. Thermal water pool salt sauna damp room is beautiful but there is no fun activity in the hotel, no 5 cakes are available from time to time except for dinner and dinner, and drinking water is unfortunately filled with bottles of the cave of the damp, which is placed on the lobby, and people carry water to their rooms . And I think the hotel, which is arranged with a tour company, is always coming from abroad. Their food is very delicious and the counselling staff are all very kind and interested. I'll go again if I have a chance.

Thanks to all staff first and foremost eating cleaning everything is very nice now we listen to live music very funny 🥰 One of the hotels I'll come back to you is thermal spa wood clean air walking evening fun you can live everything at the same time

泡温泉的好地方！男女分開的，有一些理療的地方，從伊斯坦堡交通開車要4個小時，餐食很豐富！適合一週左右理療休息的！
