5-Star Hotels in Bagmati, Nepal

One of the newly built hotel in Kathmandu, though it’s not close to the central tourist district, Thamel area but it’s just 20mins drive from the Airport, so quite convenient. Since my booking including an airport pick up and drop off, so my whole journey was very smooth. Thank you much to the concierge arrangement for the logistic. As for catering, I have only had their breakfast buffet which was also including in my booking, through my four days breakfast I didn’t get bored yet since they offered a wide variety of food options. Westerns parties, Chinese food, local Nepalese food and also Indian ones. The head chef and his catering team are super attentive and thank you so much for taking good care of my stomach during my stay. Room, since it’s newly built, all facilities are up to standards, and the sound proofing is quite ok to a light sleeper like me. Water pressure from the shower is good; and the amenities are well provided. Besides to our beds. There are usb and charging ports, very convenient. Other facilities: Gym: small one but well equipped Spa: there’s a spa on the top floor but I haven’t had time to try Rooftop bar: very nice ambient should go during the sunset Overall, if I would ever visit Kathmandu again Hilton is my only option. The environment is very beautiful. I went there with my girlfriends. There are many courses in the hotel. The rooms can see the snowy mountains in good weather. We went in January and it was very cold. But the service was very good, I added a water bottle, and each person gave away a bunch of 108 bodhi.

The hotel has a nice view from the outside. Breakfast is not included in the price and needs to be paid extra. There were sporadic power outages during the stay. I was a little worried and scared at first, but later I turned off the air conditioner and the power outages were alleviated. It is very close to the airport and the Boudhanath temple. You can see the panoramic view of the hotel when the plane takes off.

We had one of the best experienced stay in a hotel here in Mystic mountain. They have really good amenities and all the staff were very accommodating and helpful. They have tried to help us all the time. The food was astonishing including the breakfast to dinner. Thanks a lot for giving us a great stay!!

We stayed for 4 nights. Suite. Spacious, clean, robes, good cosmetics. View of Kathmandu from above, sunsets are super. Pool is clean. Breakfasts are good. I liked everything very much.

Here are a few suggestions for Hotel Himalaya: 1. The front desk and reception staff are polite and friendly, actively assisting with various issues. 2. However, due to outdated facilities, such as the bathroom, the water contains sediment, causing itchiness after showers. 3. There is no water dispenser, and using bottled water is not environmentally friendly. 4. The gym and some parts of the building are under renovation, resulting in noise pollution.

This is my second time in Kathmandu and the fourth hotel I have stayed at. Everything in the room is up to Marriott standards: the bed, the bathroom, everything was great. However, the ventilation at the buffet breakfast is really bad, after our breakfast I smelled like I worked at the kitchen all day. I ordered room service once; their momo is the worst momo anyone could find in Nepal. It is overcooked and wrongly seasoned, and the dumpling wrapper was broken and overpriced. Luckily the hotel staffs recommended another momo place that is 3 minutes walk from the Marriott, at least I got some good momos before leaving this beautiful city. I still cannot believe I spent that much on a hotel in this city. There are many nice hotels in the city with good service and cleanliness at a more affordable price. I would recommend this place if you have high standards of living and hygiene and do not expect any cultural things. Basically, you won't feel like you are in Nepal when you are inside the hotel.

I think it was an alright stay overall. the rooms were quite nice. just know there are no elevators. but I think the 6th floor (terrace) is the highest (and the ground-ish floor is a level 3). Breakfast buffet was good too, service was nice. The view of the sunrise and sunset can be abit obscured by clouds at time but still a nice view in its own right.. overall quite satisfied :)

The best hotel in thamel. Great location, services and hospitality. Everyone at the hotel is helpful. Hot shower and water pressure is great. Even breakfast is the best. Highly recommend it.

The mattress and pillows had very bad smell like they had not been replaced for a couple of years. The food in Zing cafe at the lobby was just so so. The plastic table covers generally full of food debris without frequent changing. During the 7-day stay, the service at front desk, restaurant and for our room however was overall up to the standard of a 5-star hotel.
