I often skipped this hotel as an option before because of the many bad reviews on another booking site. But this time, price was too interesting not to try.
I'm often on transit in or out of Hong Kong by high speed train and the location is 5-10 minutes walk from HKwest Kowloon.
Upon arrival, receptionist was very friendly and it was a fast check-in. Got into my single room, and as expected, it's super small. Don't expect to have place to open a big suitcase, except on your bed. (You can store it under the bed). The room was very hot, and unfortunately even after opening the AC, after one hour the room still felt hot. I went to ask the receptionist who then came to help me check, but it still didn't work. I went out for a walk (the neighborhood is a little shady with all the āmassage sirā proposals, but just ignore them) and when I came back, a new receptionist told me they were going to change me to another room as the AC didn't work. Really appreciated!
The double room compared to the single feels like a suite. If you can spare the few extra $, totally worth it. It's still small, but at least you can move around.
I do recommend this hotel if you need a convenient location and not looking for any extras. Just a bed with a private bathroom at a cheap price.

For Hong Kong standards, the room was surprisingly good. It was a fantastic deal, costing just over 300 HKD during September's low season. During my four-day stay, getting around Hong Kong was incredibly convenient as it's located very close to both the MTR station and bus stops.

Right in the heart of the business district, with plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. It's also close to bus stops, which is super convenient. While it's a bit far from the subway, most places I needed to go were accessible by bus, so it worked out fine. The room was quite spacious for one person, with a great view, and it was clean and tidy. There's even a gym at the hotel, which was a huge plus for someone who loves to work out. Going downstairs for dinner and then hitting the gym for an hour afterward was incredibly pleasant. It was a much better stay than I expected.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The beds were spotless, and it's so convenient for getting around and seeing the sights. The staff's attitude was excellent too. Definitely a five-star rating from me, and I'll be back next time I'm in town!

In short, average hotel at a brilliant location.
Itās overall clean, however there are some defect on the wall as shown below. Also, when we first enter the room, there was some bad smells, which goes away after turning on the AC for a while.
In terms of toiletries, only towels were provided. Need to pay $20hkd for brush, comb etc.
The air conditioning only turns on when set to āhighā, it simply turns off when set to anything below it.
Hot water is sufficient.
Overall itās up to standard for a 3-star hotel, didnāt under-perform nor over-perform.
My recommendation for this hotel is for ppl who prioritise location over hotel quality. Hotels at such region with a better quality usually cost u like $1000 hkd or more. So to average around $500 hkd only for this hotel, itās a good choice.
However if u could sacrifice location for a bit, there are plenty of better hotels (4-stars hotels) in other district (Kwun Tong/Fortress Hill) at similar price point and I would strongly recommend u to choose those hotels instead
Got a free upgrade to sea view room which is quite spacious ; location wise was convenient, the HK tram station is just right in front of hotel, as well as the airport bus. Walking distance to central and lots of convenience store and food around the hotel. The only downside was we met typhoon during our stay, and the window was leaking, but the hotel did send us extra towels to soak up the water. Overall it was great for the price, will definitely choose to stay here again.

It's a small hotel room, but that's the standard for the area. Unless you are willing to pay a higher price for the Causeway bay area. Has what you need for your stay. Small bed for two people. They provide a bath & hand towel pack, but it's best to take your own. Rooms are cleaned at request. Shampoo/body wash is provided. No bottled water is provided, small kettle available. Great location, easy to travel to the MTR and take the tram. Local restaurants and convenience stores available within walking distance. Self check in and check out option available on the ground floor. A charge of 500 HK dollars is charged to your card on check in which is refundable 7 days after you check out. Luggage storage is available at a fee.

Itās a nice hotel for someone looking to stay close to Hong Kong/central and have their own room, however small. Pro tip: use Shelley St escalators to save your legs a bit.
Some stuff is in need of repair/replacement but overall not bad. Staff were friendly. Walls a little thin. No refrigerator available for cold storage but the rooftop laundry is cool.
Very close to nice places to hang out in the evening and a huge variety of restaurants.

GGuest UserA charming guesthouse with a Hong Kong flair, it offered a lovely view, and I particularly enjoyed the small balcony. However, getting to and from the room was quite inconvenient. The elevator is located on the far side of the building, and even then, it only reaches the 7th floor, requiring guests to descend 4 flights of stairs to get to the accommodation. I opted for the staircase near the entrance instead, which still meant climbing 3 flights. Fortunately, I only had a backpack; I strongly advise anyone with heavy or multiple pieces of luggage to choose carefully. The space itself was adequate for a single person, but the wash basin was truly a nightmare. Squeezed between two load-bearing pillars, it was probably only 30cm wide, forcing you to turn sideways just to wash your hands. Washing your face was a real struggle. To make matters worse, if the tap was turned on too high, the floor drain couldn't cope and would leak water onto the floor. I'm stopping my complaints here!

MM220902****I really have to praise this hotel, though I'm a bit selfish and don't want too many people to know about it because the value for money is just incredible! At first, I saw reviews mentioning it was a bit far from the subway station, but then I found out there's a mini-bus right in front of the hotel that goes directly to the subway. That just made this hotel absolutely perfect in my eyes, I love it!
AAnonymous UserI booked the dinosaur themed room and the reaction of my daughters was fantastic when I asked them to go into the room first. Their screams of delight and surprise were priceless. The hotel is on the the top floor of an ark shaped building and in an interesting and scenic location on Ma Wan island - it makes a good picture from the outside. I read somewhere that this Ark was built to the dimensions of Noahās Ark described in the Bible, which is pretty fascinating. I like the ethos of the hotel which emphasises looking after our environment (we only have one Earth) and respecting nature and one another.
Our room was perfect for a family of 4. It has two showers and two toilets which is very unusual for any hotel room, but very convenient when all trying to get ready at the same time. I recommend this for a family stay.
HHokkaido5Ideally located, with A21 City Bus direct from Airport to Hotel. Also direct access to Hongkong Kowloon High Speed Railway station via bus W2 just two minutes walk from hotel. The bus stop is opposite Starbuck.
TThe Travel BugThe room was quite spacious, it came with a refrigerator which was useful. You are within walking distance to a shopping mall and eateries that are situated near the accommodation.
Based on the location and not having to use a taxi I would recommend this hotel. Staff are helpful and friendly too!
AAnonymous UserThis was an extremely comfortable stay. The location is fantastic. Only a 5-min walk to Yau Ma Tei station, offering easy access to anywhere via subway. The hotel is practically on Nathan Road and so is extremely close many restaurants and shopping. Unlike more hotels in the area, Caritas offers relatively large rooms for the price range. On the negative side, the hotel is a bit old. For me, this is not a problem as my room was very clean and hygienic. I would happily stay in this hotel again. PS: the service staff are professional and polite.
