A stone's throw from the banks of the River Liffey, Ruby Molly may be a newcomer, but she's channelling some serious 19th-century charm. For over a century, the area was home to a lively fruit and veg market. With fresh produce arriving daily on horse-drawn carts, the surrounding streets were abuzz with traders and shoppers, swapping tales of town and country. Inspired by this meeting of rural and urban, we've created an inviting space to meet and mingle with folk from near and far. Join us in the bar for some great music, settle in and take our signature cocktails for a spin. And when it's time to unwind, each room is a haven of Lean Luxury calm, designed with sleep experts to help you drift off after a busy day in the city. A short walk from the river and ten minutes from Temple Bar, Ruby Molly's a great base for exploring Dublin. The Guinness Storehouse is a 25-minute stroll away, as is pretty Phoenix Park. The airport's around 40 minutes away by bus, with stops not far from our front door.

"I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location is very convenient 🩷🍺everything is within walking distance, so it’s easy to explore the surrounding area, go sightseeing, or just take a relaxing walk nearby. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a perfect location.☘️✨🙏"

"Frustrating Experience: Reservation Confusion Rating: My recent stay was marred by an incredibly unprofessional check-in experience. Despite having a fully prepaid reservation, the front desk staff had absolutely no record of my booking upon arrival. Instead of efficiently resolving the issue, the staff repeatedly insisted that I pay for the room again, despite my clear explanation and proof of prior payment. It was frustrating and exhausting to have to argue my case after a long journey. While the property may have potential, the lack of organization and poor customer service at the front desk completely soured the experience. I would strongly advise confirming your reservation multiple times before arrival or choosing a more reliable establishment."

"I was disappointed with my stay at the Marlin Hotel. The room was extremely small, with no space to move comfortably. The windows cannot be opened, which made the atmosphere stuffy and uncomfortable. Cleanliness was also an issue – I found hair on the floor, which made the room feel poorly maintained. For the price, I expected higher standards of comfort and hygiene. The central location is convenient, but overall, the experience did not meet expectations."

The Mercantile Hotel is centrally located in the heart of Dublin Cite Centre. Centrally located on Dame Street which is just meters from Dublin’s commercial, shopping, and entertainment areas. The Mercantile Hotel continues to be a landmark establishment on Dame Street, offering a refined balance between Dublin’s architectural heritage and warm, contemporary hospitality. Past and present blend seamlessly at The Mercantile Hotel & Bar in Dublin, a beautifully refurbished Georgian Building. Every room has been thoughtfully reimagined, preserving the building’s timeless charm while introducing modern comforts and state of the art technology. It is perfectly situated in the heart of Dublin, and boasts a splendid bar and Cafe 28. Located within a historically significant 18th-century terrace, the building occupies a collection of protected structures originally developed as part of Dublin’s Wide Streets Commission initiative. Key conservation efforts include the refurbishment of original façades, the restoration of sash windows, and the removal of inappropriate modern alterations to reveal the building’s Georgian character. A new rear extension and an additional floor has been added in a manner that complements the surrounding streetscape while enhancing guest accommodations. The refurbishment ensures that The Mercantile Hotel will continue to be a landmark establishment on Dame Street, offering a refined balance between Dublin’s architectural heritage and warm, contemporary hospitality.

"Perfect location, quick walk to everything. The room was clean, small but well designed, shower worked well. Not bad for a comfortable rest after a full day of walking. It’s ideal for up to two people that pack light, and spend minimal time in the room, otherwise there’s not much space for stuffs, and the window looks out to another window so you’ll most likely keep the curtain down and feel a little claustrophobic. Front desk offered free luggage storing which is nice since I arrived in the morning"

In the heart of Dublin city, Hilton Dublin is located a short stroll from St. Stephens Green. The Charlemont tram stop is located outside the front door and provides direct transport to the city center or to Ireland's largest Shopping district Dundrum Town Center. We offer secure car parking, event space, an onsite restaurant and bar, a fitness center, and free WiFi.

"The room, though not very large, was cozy and perfect for a solo traveler. The breakfast was also excellent. The room facilities were complete, with a sofa and table, which was very convenient for placing belongings. The location was also great, making it easy to get anywhere. My impression of Dublin is very good; prices are much cheaper than London, and the lamb shank and lamb chops were delicious."

We had an overall great experience at this hotel. It is in a quieter area of Dublin but there is plenty to see and do just a short walk away including Trinity College, the National Museum of Ireland galleries and within 15 minute walk of most major attractions. They also had good connections to the airport using the Dublin Express Bus that had quite a few stops nearby. There are some very good restaurants a short walk away from this hotel and the Leap Card can get you pretty good public transportation around the city. The hotel has studio style kitchenette apartments. We were surprised with how well equipped the little kitchens were which included multiple cooking utensils and pots. They had a Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, mini fridge (stocked with some milk), microwave/oven and a mini dishwasher. Dishwasher tablets, dish soap, sugar, salt, pepper and a few other things were conveniently included. We made ourselves breakfast each day we were here which was easy to do because there is a Tesco Express and possibly the best bakery in Dublin just around the corner with Bread 41. The room was pretty good with plenty of outlets and even though it was a bit small there was enough space for our two large suitcases and bags. They have a small seating area with a table, a large flat screen TV, good WiFi and good lighting. The bathroom was pretty good too but we weren't a fan of the partition because it does not cover the full shower area and it was easy for water to get out of the shower. They have an all in one body wash too. The room was mostly quiet but we were there on New Year's Eve and there was one lady who had a very loud complaint in the hallway around 3 in the morning for around 15 minutes. The staff are very kind and helpful. They had no room left in their luggage storage when we arrived so they allowed us early check in which is usually 20 Euros. They have a WhatsApp ”AI” chat that you can request service through and we used it for extra towels that came up pretty quickly. The hotel has some amenities including a small restaurant/bar that has some food and coffee and paid laundry machines. Breakfast here costs 15 euros if you pre-book but if you want it the morning of it is 17 Euros. The one thing we found tricky about the hotel is that we had to use the elevator to go up and down even though we were on the first floor because all the stairwells are locked up for safety/fire protocol. Overall, a good stay for our first time in Dublin and we would consider staying here again or recommending to friends and family with similar interests to ours.

I decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked. Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance. The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre. Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well. Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home. The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want. Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!

My husband and I had been planning this trip to Dublin for quite some time. And when we found this beautiful boutique hotel online, we were so excited. As soon as we arrived And checked in, there was a lot going on in the lobby area, so it was a little overwhelming. We saw a lady at the desk, but we weren’t sure that she actually worked there because she didn’t greet us. Didn’t even look our way. It seemed like she had a general disinterest or disdain for us being there. I asked, “Is this the front desk to the hotel?” To which she responded in a monotone voice, “Yes.” I was shocked that this was the first impression of the hotel that we were getting. What made it worse was that my husband was told that we needed to put a card on hold and he proceeded to tap his card thinking that it was like all the other places we had been to in Ireland. But it didn’t work. Several times he tapped it and it showed nothing. He asked the lady, “does your tap work? Do you have tap?” To which she replied a curt, “no.” Mind you, she was standing there the entire time and could see the entire situation. This interaction was such a bummer, and this made our short trip to Dublin feel a little sour.  To be honest, not all of the stuff was like that morning. We woke up to get a coffee downstairs, and the gentleman that works at the coffee bar was very warm. A young Spanish speaking man. He was absolutely amazing; patient and willing to answer any questions About the items on the menu And the different pastries available.  Overall, the hotel was a mixed bag. It had a very chic vibe but outside of that lovely gentleman, their customer service can definitely improve!

It was a great stay overall. The location was perfect. It was near the center of Dublin. But was set in a quiet neighborhood just outside it. It is a doable walk to a park set along the water. I loved the Medieval Theme. The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The dual shower heads are a nice setup. .Request a view of the front of the hotel. The only potential negative is the distance from the airport and the train.
