"Upgraded to a sea view room for an extra 900! I'm a Marriott member, but the front desk said that rooms booked through a third party (Ctrip) are not eligible for points. I don't understand this logic at all. The experience for nearly 4000 a night was terrible! I wanted to use the bathtub, and the front desk said they could deep clean it when I checked in. That definitely didn't happen. So I went to the supermarket and bought some disinfectant myself. The cleanliness of this supposedly luxurious hotel completely put me off taking a bath. In the end, I only dared to soak my feet (it was too late when I got back to the hotel, so I didn't call for cleaning service again, and I didn't expect it to be so dirty – a layer of black grime, my hands were wet so I didn't take a photo). The showerhead had poor water pressure and no different modes to choose from! The hairdryer was ancient, heavy, and clunky. My hair still wasn't dry after 10 minutes. Ugh, a Lighfen would have been so much better! It really would save half the time! The window screen was crumpled up and had a hole in it. I was really disappointed. Am I staying at a fake Ritz?! I reported this to the front desk, and their standard response was ”I'm sorry, we'll upgrade you next time,” and they gave me a box of eight tea bags as compensation! I didn't feel any sincerity, and I'm not interested in coming back again! But, to be fair, the bedding was good, the pillows were very comfortable, and the young man handling the luggage was very polite and provided excellent service."

"It was a very enjoyable trip! I took advantage of the National Day holiday from the 1st to the 4th. Originally, it was a three-day, two-night stay, but I later changed my mind and decided to stay an extra day, so I had to move to a different place for the last night. The Hopewell Hotel is in an excellent location, right off Queen's Road East. The hotel lobby on the 19th floor is very impressive, and the front desk staff were warm and professional. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of options. There's also a gym and a swimming pool; this morning I even swam for an hour before checking out. All in all, this trip was great, and my two kids had a wonderful time too. I hope to come back again, but next time I'd prefer to avoid the peak season; it was a bit pricey during the National Day period."

"The room was excellent, and the sea view room was absolutely amazing. Special thanks to the male receptionist who checked us in; he was very friendly, explained everything clearly, and was highly professional. The breakfast had a huge variety and was delicious. The cleaning staff were also incredibly kind, providing my mom with a shopping bag to carry her clothes. All in all, everything was perfect! 😍 Thank you!"

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, conveniently situated near Hung Hom MTR Station and the Cross-Harbour Tunnel, making it easy to get around. There are many famous attractions nearby, such as the Avenue of Stars and large shopping malls. The hotel's breakfast buffet was top-notch, featuring fresh ingredients and excellent service. Furthermore, the front desk staff were incredibly attentive and polite, making us feel right at home. It was a wonderful experience overall."

"Pretty good overall. The hairdryer handle needs cleaning, as there was a lot of hair on it. I suggest more complimentary drinks in the minibar. Breakfast was good, especially the beef brisket noodles. The front desk and restaurant staff were excellent. Mike and Clare from the front office were particularly warm and professional. The social hour was a bit basic, with very few food options. I requested an alcohol-free drink, but it turned out to have alcohol. The water tap in the room was a bit hidden and hard to find, and the shower handle was leaking slightly. The cocktail I ordered at the 50th-floor bar at night was incorrect, and they overcharged me for it when I checked out. Despite a few minor hiccups, I was quite satisfied overall. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for shopping and visiting the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and the Space Museum. Next time, I plan to try the Regent across the street."
