The staff's service attitude is excellent; they are warm and natural, making you feel right at home. The hotel's night view is particularly stunning, where grandeur and classical charm blend beautifully, creating a noble and tranquil atmosphere.

Traveling to Datong with my parents and children, as soon as we got out of the car, a security guard (Shi Lei) opened the door for us, insisting we didn't touch it ourselves. The lobby manager also seamlessly took our luggage. Maybe it wasn't peak season yet, but check-in was smooth. However, I didn't see the welcome fruit mentioned in other reviews. We bought some fruit ourselves, and the staff helped peel it and sent it back to our room. We could also ask for more bottled water if needed. Since we were going to the Hanging Temple the next day, we requested a packed breakfast with bread and milk, which was enough to fill us up. On the third day, the breakfast in the restaurant was very rich. I'd like to commend the ladies in the restaurant (Zhang Xiaoqing, Cao Xiaolin) as well; seeing that my child hadn't eaten much, they even offered to pack a bread for us. The complimentary bathhouse tickets weren't wasted either; it wasn't crowded, and it felt much more satisfying than showering in the room. After the bath, the ladies (Zhang Limei, Jiang Jinlian) brought us water and towels; they were so enthusiastic. Overall, all the staff members were incredibly warm and welcoming. Although the facilities are a bit dated, I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Datong.

I booked this hotel in advance for our May Day holiday trip to Taiyuan. It's an established five-star hotel, and both the facilities and service are top-notch. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. It's super convenient to get to, right outside Exit A2 of Changfeng Street Station on Metro Line 2. Plus, it's next to Tianmei Xintiandi, a bustling commercial area, and taxis are always easy to find. We visited Zhonglou Street, Liuxiang, Jinci Temple, Tianlong Mountain, and the Shanxi Museum, and honestly, there's nothing to complain about except that some of the furniture feels a bit dated compared to newer hotels. Otherwise, it offers great value for money. I'll definitely stay at Kempinski again next time I'm in Taiyuan.

The Wutaishan Marriott's location is excellent, right next to the scenic area's South Gate, and the hotel provides free shuttle service for guests, making getting around hassle-free. A key point for guests driving their own cars is that you must book your vehicle at least five days in advance to enter the mountain. A little tip for drivers: if you're coming from the Wooden Pagoda of Ying County, enter through the North Gate of Mount Wutai; for trips to the Hanging Temple and Mount Hengshan, also depart from the North Gate to avoid unnecessary detours. As a Marriott brand, the hotel boasts a superb environment, with well-designed rooms and a rich and delicious breakfast spread. On this stay, I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a deluxe suite, and the service was thoughtful and impeccable. After more than ten days of travel, this was the best hotel experience of the entire trip. The overall value for money, facilities, and service all exceeded expectations. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Mount Wutai.

During check-in, the staff accurately identified my membership status and completed all procedures within three minutes. He even proactively upgraded my room to a lake view. Later at night, when I asked for recommendations for local food, the duty manager, Lily, personally drew a map and suggested an authentic Shanxi restaurant, even marking the taxi route clearly. The perfect combination of professional expertise and efficient execution made my business trip completely worry-free.

First time in Yuncheng, and Novotel pleasantly surprised us! The front desk, restaurant, and room service were all excellent. Check-in was super quick. We booked two rooms, and they kindly arranged for them to be next to each other. They even gave us lots of snacks and fruit. It was Labor Day, so the hotel was really busy, but they opened an extra restaurant for breakfast during peak hours, which was great. The service there was just as good, showing their excellent contingency planning for busy times. Our rooms were cleaned promptly every day, and they replenished the 6 bottles of mineral water without fail. A very satisfying trip overall!

Datong Yungang Hotel Review I've stayed in many five-star hotels, but Datong Yungang Hotel consistently ranks at the top for me. It truly lives up to its reputation as the best in the area. The overall decor is grand and stylish, with spacious and luxurious interiors that strike a perfect balance between opulence and elegance, without being over-the-top. The pricing is very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. The service is thoughtful and meticulous. The staff are responsive and attentive, making the entire experience comfortable. Room cleanliness is impeccable; every corner and all the linens are spotless and tidy. The breakfast buffet offers a vast selection, including a wide array of meats, vegetables, pastries, desserts, and local specialties, all of which taste great. The location is a major plus, less than two kilometers from Datong Ancient City, making it very convenient for exploring the area. Considering the comprehensive quality of its facilities, service, price, and location, it's definitely worth a second visit. This is my top recommendation for accommodation when visiting Datong!

🏯 I chose the Yanmenwang Jiubao Hotel, located right at the starting line of the Yanmenguan ultra-trail race and next to the Yanmenguan scenic area. It completely exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is designed with a traditional fortress and Chinese courtyard aesthetic. With its grey brick walls, vermilion eaves, and red lanterns reflecting the blue sky, walking on the flagstone paths felt like stepping back into an ancient pass. Every photo I took looked like it belonged in a historical drama. The room design was an absolute showcase of Chinese aesthetics, featuring double wooden doors with brass handles that opened into a spacious courtyard-style room. It boasted a red-toned storage shelf, an oversized wooden-edged bathtub, cloud-patterned carpets, and a duplex layout. Being right at the ultra-trail race's starting point was incredibly convenient. The hotel opened in 2026, so all the facilities are brand new. Beyond that, the room offered an excellent sense of space and privacy. The independent courtyard layout made it both quiet and comfortable. You could enjoy the courtyard view from the bathtub, and after a good soak, curling up on the sofa made the fatigue from the ultra-trail race instantly melt away. The amenities and bedding were all high quality; the towels even had the hotel's exclusive logo, showing thoughtful attention to detail. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, ensuring an exceptionally peaceful sleep. The hotel service was also very considerate, with shuttle buggies available from the parking lot to the front desk and then to the room. When checking out, the front desk attendant even gave me a chilled NFC juice, adding a refreshing touch to the hot weather! If you're visiting Yanmenguan and looking for a place where you can experience the charm of an ancient pass while enjoying a comfortable vacation, this is absolutely the top choice and highly recommended!

This hotel is almost next to the airport terminal, super convenient for early morning flight. It is clean and service is excellent. Manager on duty - Han, Yueliu helped arrange a room in the main buidling, which is what I preferred. Everything went well. Will stay here again next time when I come back.

Staying at Ruifeng Tower was definitely the best decision for our Datong trip! The hotel is located right in the heart of the ancient city, within walking distance of attractions like Huayan Temple and Shanhua Temple, making it super convenient. The rooms have an antique charm, and when you open the window, you're greeted with the sight of traditional courtyards and intricate eaves. What truly delighted me were the books in the room. Reading them before bed, the glory of Pingcheng during the Northern Wei Dynasty and the prosperity of the Liao and Jin secondary capitals came alive on the pages, adding a wonderful cultural depth to our journey. The breakfast buffet was abundant, and the staff were warm and professional. Next time I'm in Datong, I'll definitely choose Ruifeng Tower again, to immerse myself in the unique charm of this ancient capital amidst its scholarly ambiance and historic beauty!
