The food and amenities are excellent. We had a private hot spring every evening really added to the enjoyment.  My wife and I and eight year-old daughter had a great time  you so much for the great experience and all the hospitality  Perfect Stay. 100%!!!

The room size was good and the beds were very comfortable. The view in the room was a highlight, overlooking a beautiful green garden with mountains in the background. Walking around the hotel was very enjoyable. The entire area is lush and green, and there is also a lake which adds to the atmosphere. There is an activity area as well, although it is mostly designed for kids and requires an extra fee. Bicycle rental is available, but it was surprisingly expensive, probably the highest I have seen in Japan. The onsen was unfortunately closed for two out of our three nights. We were able to use the onsen at East hotel, but it was not as good as the one in our hotel. A nice touch was the coffee. There is a popular coffee shop in town called Mikado, and the hotel provided their drip coffee for free every day. It was excellent, and when we asked for more, they kindly provided it again at no extra charge. There is also a FamilyMart inside the hotel, which carries some unique regional products. That was quite interesting and a nice detail. The shuttle bus service was always on time, and the drivers were kind and friendly. The nearby shopping mall, which is part of the hotel area, offers many popular brands at relatively good prices. It feels more like an outlet, with slightly older products, but still great for shopping. There are also a few good restaurant options within the mall. I did not have breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot comment on that. Overall, it was a good stay.

The best thing about this hotel is its incredibly convenient location. You can see the JR entrance right from your room, which is perfect for those catching early morning day trips (many tour groups meet right by the JR ticket gates). Plus, when you return in the evening, you're right by all the restaurants at the JR station. The room itself is quite small, but the breakfast spread is excellent.

The Hakuba Hotel prices are generally on the higher side, but this one offers pretty good value for money. It's a room over 40 square meters, perfect for a family of four, with two beds and a tatami area. You just need to lay out the tatami futon yourself. There's a free shuttle to Hakuba ski resort, though the schedule is a bit limited.

Title: Excellent Food and Snow Views, but Disappointing Management and Transport Rating: ⭐⭐ / 5 My stay at this hotel near the ski resort was a mixed bag. While I was satisfied with the natural environment and dining, there's significant room for improvement in service management and transportation. 🟢 Pros • Environment & Facilities: The hotel boasts an excellent location near the ski resort, perfect for ski enthusiasts. I especially recommend the outdoor hot springs, where you can soak while enjoying magnificent snow-capped mountain views. The basic facilities in the bathhouse were also quite complete. • High-Quality Meals: This was the biggest surprise of the trip. Both breakfast and dinner featured excellent ingredients and cooking techniques; the food was truly satisfying. 🔴 Cons • Room & Local Amenities: The room space was noticeably small, and the in-room amenities felt somewhat lacking, making for a cramped stay. Furthermore, the hotel's remote location meant there were no convenience stores nearby. I'd advise buying essentials before checking in. • Chaotic Service Management (Major Pain Point): The staff's professional training is severely lacking. My booking package clearly included breakfast and dinner, yet restaurant staff repeatedly asked me to pay for dinner. Even after clarifying and receiving confirmation on the first day, the issue resurfaced on the second day when I was again asked for payment. I eventually had to go to the front desk myself to verify, only to find that there was no record or follow-up on yesterday's problem. This chaotic management was exhausting and significantly detracted from my stay. • Inadequate Shuttle Service: The hotel's shuttle service completely failed to meet traveler needs. After checking out, we discovered the shuttle wouldn't be available until 2 PM, which is an extremely unreasonable schedule. We were ultimately forced to pay for a taxi to leave, incurring unnecessary expenses. Summary If you're coming for skiing and good food, this place might be acceptable. However, if you value service quality, management efficiency, and transportation convenience, this hotel might leave you disappointed. I hope the management can enhance staff training and optimize shuttle schedules; otherwise, it struggles to match its environmental advantages.

This is the best choice if the kids want to ski and the adults want a place to wander around! We can relax in the hot springs, stroll around the outlets, and the kids can ski to their hearts' content. We can also drive to the Karuizawa shopping street for a leisurely walk. It's an effortless trip, perfect!

The firefly at night was very good. I think I didn't see it like that when I went by myself, and I don't know the way well, and I think it was dangerous. It was kinder to guide you, and I was very happy to answer various questions. (I participated alone) I well understand that Tatsuno Cho is putting emphasis on fireflies by raising towns. I think it is thankful that you will protect valuable resources from now on. I think the dishes are standard, but the price was not so high and the room was beautiful. The quality of the hot spring was very good. The view is the best. It was one of the good memories of my trip that I sent to ina Shinmachi, an unmanned station. I thought that check-out was 10 o'clock earlier than 1 hour, and I wanted it to be at least 11 o'clock to slow down.

[Hilton Karuizawa | A Healing Hotel Worth a Special Trip] Our stay in Karuizawa truly exceeded expectations; the hotel's service and attention to detail were incredibly impressive. From the moment we arrived at Karuizawa Station, the hotel's shuttle service was fantastic. The driver was polite and attentive, so we didn't have to worry about our luggage or getting around. Upon check-in, our room was already prepared. We had booked a garden view room with a balcony. A floor-to-ceiling window framed the seasonal beauty of the Japanese garden like a painting. Sitting on the balcony with tea and a book, time seemed to slow down. The mini-bar in the room was complimentary, and a capsule coffee machine and tea set were provided, along with thoughtful welcome snacks. What I most want to praise is the service. The front desk and concierge staff were fluent in English, and their responses were prompt and professional whether we were asking about sightseeing routes, restaurant reservations, or shuttle arrangements. Once, we wanted to find a soba noodle restaurant popular with locals, and the concierge not only drew a detailed map by hand but also went the extra mile to call and confirm their operating hours for us. Breakfast was a semi-buffet, with the option to order a main dish. The fresh local vegetables, fruits, and homemade jams from Karuizawa were especially delicious. Enjoying breakfast by the window while watching the morning light in the garden was pure bliss. While the selection wasn't extensive, every dish was exquisite, reflecting the chef's dedication. Although the hotel isn't brand new, it's very well-maintained, combining traditional Japanese style with modern comfort seamlessly. The Japanese bathhouse was clean and tranquil; a soak there left us feeling completely relaxed. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to walk to attractions like Old Karuizawa Ginza Street and Kumoba Pond, yet it's set away from the main street's hustle and bustle. If I had to point out any shortcomings, it would be that some of the guest rooms aren't particularly spacious, but the thoughtful layout and superb views completely make up for it. Overall, it's a quality choice I'd love to return to and would readily recommend to friends. It's especially ideal for travelers looking to slow down and relax in nature.

Stepping inside, we were greeted by the iconic stove, and a thoughtful warm drink, which was a lovely touch. The service was very welcoming. The room, for Japan, was quite spacious and even had a balcony, though it was bare in winter. Both breakfast and dinner were extensive. Dinner, which we pre-booked, was a standout with its distinctive and delicious Western cuisine.

GGuest UserWe stayed for two nights on a family trip. The hotel is a luxurious establishment with three hotels, a chapel, and a wedding reception hall on a vast site of 230,000 square meters, and we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing time. The breakfast buffet and French dinner were delicious, and the service was excellent. There was also a large hot spring bath, and there was plenty of greenery, so it was a pleasant walk. I recommend staying two or even three nights instead of just one.
