"I've stayed here about 5 or 6 times now, and every visit, the cleanliness is impeccable and the service is excellent. The staff's polite language and their commitment to ensuring guests never feel uncomfortable truly put me at ease. This time, for the first time, I opted for a room-only stay as I wanted to enjoy a relaxing hot spring trip without any interference. (Previously, my best friend and I always chose plans with breakfast and dinner.) This kind of stay is also very reasonable, and given the reliable service, I'll continue to choose Rantei for all my future visits to Akiu Onsen, rather than trying other inns. Having just turned 60, I'm not sure how many more times I'll be able to visit... Thank you so much for everything."

"Although the drive up the mountain was a bit challenging, the environment upon arrival was beautiful. The front desk staff spoke Mandarin very well and arranged an excellent room for us. After checking in, we headed to the restaurant for dinner. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes. After dinner, we went to the hot spring area. Besides the public bath, there were also private hot springs, which we thoroughly enjoyed! 😎 Breakfast was also very rich and plentiful. After eating our fill, we soaked in the hot springs for a bit longer. We even took some photos before leaving to capture the wonderful memories!"

"First of all, I need to correct the hotel location given by Ctrip. It is called Kamakaki Onsen in Japanese. It may be the result of the automatic translation software. It is called Kamadao Destination Onsen on Ctrip. It is very funny. Overall, the price-performance ratio is good. After all, the price is there. It is relatively economical for Japanese hot spring hotels. You can't ask for too much. In terms of hardware, the room I booked has to use the public toilet not far from the same floor. Of course, it is very hygienic, but it will be inconvenient if you get up at night. The hot spring is divided into men's pool and women's pool. It is worth mentioning that according to the hotel, the hot spring water is from the source and is not recycled, so the hot spring water quality is very good. Dinner and breakfast are OK. The surrounding environment is very quiet, and a good sleep relieves fatigue. The staff is warm and thoughtful."

"The hotel staff are friendly, polite and helpful. The dinner dishes are exquisitely presented, and the breakfast buffet has a wide selection of food. The bedroom facilities are complete and tidy, and the wet and dry toilets are separated. The hot springs are comfortable, but you need to walk up more than 40 stairs to get to the outdoor open-air bath. The only drawback was that the toilet could not be flushed. After calling the staff, they immediately provided assistance but could not repair it immediately. In the end, I had to use the toilet in another room. "

"Stayed one night in the main building. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with good amenities. Our package included both buffet breakfast and dinner, which was a nice touch. At check-in, guests are asked to select their preferred dining times. Since the restaurant can get quite busy, I recommend choosing the earliest slot for a more relaxed experience. The onsen facilities were decent and provided a chance to unwind. Overall, it was an enjoyable and comfortable stay."

"This was a last-minute trip to Tohoku and Hokkaido. Since I was staying in Sendai for the last few days and wanted to enjoy breakfast, dinner, and onsen (hot springs) at a nearby hotel, I decided to visit Akiu Onsen, which I hadn't been to before. The hotel thoughtfully provided a shuttle bus between Sendai Station and the hotel, which was very convenient. The front desk service was excellent. The onsen area was large, and the dinner was very good (including any extra meals I purchased). The breakfast was relatively disappointing; there weren't any particularly appealing dishes, and the quality was just average. Although I always chose to bathe and soak in the public bath, I also used the bathroom in my room, and my family members weren't used to going to the public bath. However, the problem was that even when I adjusted the temperature to over 50 degrees Celsius, the water temperature in the room's bathroom was only between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius, and adjusting it further didn't change anything. I wonder if there's something wrong with that. In conclusion, for a hotel with a normal temperature, I believe there are other better options in the Akiu Onsen area."

"One of the best ryokans in Kesennuma! The entire place is exceptionally clean, and the rooms are very spacious with a separate bath and toilet inside—a rare find in many other ryokans. The dinner was incredible, featuring the freshest local seafood like uni (sea urchin), oysters, and beautifully prepared sashimi. A nice bonus: if you call in advance, they’ll even pick you up from the nearest station in a mini car. Highly recommended for a relaxing and authentic stay!"

"The old large hot spring hotel is well decorated, the lobby is beautiful, the koi is very beautiful, the room is very large, the hot spring is relatively lackluster, especially disappointed is the semi-buffet dinner, I have lived in many hot spring hotels with one berth and two meals, this one eats worse. "The staff were nice and have also tried to speak English. I recommend a little Japanese knowledge, however. The highlight of the room is the balcony, which has not only a perfect view of the bathroom, but also a bathroom with water of a hot source. The room has only futons, sleeping on the side is therefore uncomfortable. The toilet is in an extra room that was too small to me. Some killing in and outside the room are quite small, so big people have to book."

I had a wonderful stay at Ryokan Tsukasa in Sendai. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel at home right away. My room was beautifully designed in the style of a traditional Japanese house, and I had the unique experience of sleeping on the floor like a true Japanese. I also loved wearing the traditional robe provided in the room — it added an authentic touch to the stay. Everything was perfect, and I would highly recommend this ryokan to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in Sendai!

Nice traditional Japanese hotel. The room was conveniently located on the first floor. The only things to keep in mind there as a foreigner (very broken English at best). Using a translation device or app in your phone is essential for communication. The room we stayed did not have a private shower. If a shower is needed it will be in a communal shower area. The room does have a toilet and sink though.

The location is close to the fish market between the inner bay and Tanaka Mae, so the range of action is wide, and the selection of shops is wide. Pre-check-in is very easy. It was very easy because there were few exchanges from the inn.

The most noteworthy thing is the quality of the spring water. Even if you don't know much about hot springs, you will be surprised at the difference in the slippery feeling. There are three different baths, including the mixed outdoor bath. The food was also satisfying in both quality and quantity. The staff were very polite and it was a very good inn.

If you had earplugs, the others were comfortable. Snoring 💤 〜 Because it is a hobby of shooting at night, star 🌟 sometimes goes out It would be helpful if you lend me the key to the entrance 🔑. I'm worried if I don't open the key!

I stayed overnight with my husband with my 1 and 3 year old children. Supper with the staff! We had them make a pot and ate it together. I was saved because I was able to see the child. Besides, I was happy that they played with the children and spoke a lot. Thank you very much!! It was renovated and very beautiful and warm atmosphere, and the window glass had an old pattern, and I felt the atmosphere. There were many stoves and it was very warm even in winter. If I can ask, I would be very happy if I could make a laundry detergent such as a futon soap or just a soap-based fragrance-free one! is! The sun was very good, I could see the mountains, and I could worship the rising sun. The veranda is mid-January, but the weather was nice and warm, and children were playing happily during the day. Thank you very much!
