"The surrounding amenities are great, but it's very crowded. The shuttle service was terrible; the driver left without waiting for us, and didn't stop even when we chased after it. It was very sunny and hot, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're traveling with kids, unless you pay for their private car service. This felt like a hidden cost. We paid over 2000 for two rooms that day, which isn't cheap at all. The shuttle service from the hotel to the Ocean Park was very bad. The bus was packed, and my child even went missing, which led to us calling the police. This shuttle service has serious safety issues. For breakfast, there were too many people and not enough tables, so we had to wait a long time. We had to find seats ourselves with our child. There weren't enough staff, and the staggered timing for meals didn't work well. In short, it was a terrible and expensive trip. The staff themselves were very kind and helpful, but every single aspect of the experience made me feel like I was about to explode. I don't know why. It was completely different from our stay at Hilton last year. The room cleanliness wasn't great, probably because it was peak season and they didn't have time to clean thoroughly!"

"Absolutely perfect! I initially thought it was an old hotel, but it completely won me over with its service and consistent quality. First off, there's the Kids' Creativity Park, offering all sorts of fun activities and photo ops for children. Secondly, I just found out it's part of the Marriott family of hotels. The staff were incredibly patient; I can't remember the name of the front desk attendant who helped us, but they kept my ID safe after I lost it, bringing me the joy of finding something I thought was gone forever. The Wi-Fi signal in our room was poor, but the 'little butler' (concierge) and front desk staff patiently came to our room multiple times to help us troubleshoot. The hotel is also very close to the beach, and you can even spot squirrels on the walk there. The kids had an absolute blast, especially with the sand bikes! It's truly the perfect hotel for families. I recommended it to friends the very next day, and they also stayed there for two nights the following Tuesday, reporting a truly excellent experience. Another plus is that there are lots of foreign children here, and everyone seems so happy and relaxed! Plus, they're very delivery-friendly; you can order anything you want, which is a huge bonus. It was a fantastic experience, and I might even come back for a second stay!"

"This is a four-star hotel, and admittedly, some of the facilities are a bit old. When I arrived in Haikou, it had just rained, and there was a musty smell in the room and corridors, which was a bit off-putting. However, everything else was quite good. What stood out was that the shower water was natural hot spring water, and you could even enjoy the hot springs from 2 PM to 10 PM daily. For a room rate of just over 100 RMB, it's truly excellent value for money. Plus, the hotel is located right in the old town, full of local charm and a lively atmosphere. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Haikou."

The hotel enjoys a location surrounded by some of the most pristine tropical wilderness areas in China, near a beautiful waterfall and tropical plants, as well as a hot spring with an average temperature of 93℃. A 50 minutes drive sees to the Nanwan Monkey Island. Guests can take a walk along the path while breathing in fresh air or spend hours in the hot spring pools, spa. They can also take a dip at the outdoor swimming pool or go out cycling.
"Hainan's second stop was Qixianling, and Junlan Hotel seemed to be the most well-known in the area. It certainly didn't disappoint.
The rooms are spread across small villas, with four separate units (up, down, left, right) in each, offering great privacy. Outside the window is a dense rainforest, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Each unit has its own private hot spring pool and a small balcony. The rooms are spacious, perfect for kids to run around.
Unlike Atlantis, which is all about excitement, this place offers a different kind of relaxed retreat.
The rooms are definitely a bit dated, but they have everything you need, and the cleaning staff is very meticulous.
The restaurant food is delicious, with some specialty dishes that are a must-try!
The hotel has various hot spring pools and swimming pools. If you have enough time, try them all out; they're open quite late.
I want to especially commend the hotel's entire service system. From the greeters to the lobby, the restaurant, the shuttle drivers, and the pool security – everyone was incredibly warm and polite. Since the hotel is quite large, and the accommodations are spread out and deep within the rainforest, shuttle services are available throughout the hotel. You can book ahead or simply flag one down. This was a lifesaver for me, traveling with a child. I could explore freely on foot or easily catch a ride without my child complaining about walking too much.
Finally, a few tips for future guests considering Junlan: don't bother bringing big and small bottles of mosquito repellent; the hotel provides it for free (though even drenched in repellent, mosquitoes won't spare any new guest! It's a special 'gift' from the tropical rainforest!). If you plan to hike in the National Forest Park from the hotel, getting a taxi might be difficult. The hotel front desk can arrange for a scenic shuttle to pick you up for 20 yuan per person, which I think is well worth it. While there are public buses outside, I couldn't figure them out and didn't want to walk to the bus stop. When traveling with a child, it's best to minimize hassle. If something can be taken care of for 20 yuan, don't try to save that little bit!"

It's perfect for family trips and vacations. The only downside is that the beach right outside seems to be under some kind of construction, which isn't very aesthetically pleasing right now."

During our stay, she continuously followed up, always checking on our comfort, and was very quick to respond to any requests. The hotel boasts an excellent sea view with a wide vista and outstanding scenery. The children's swimming pool has plenty of shade, so it's mostly protected from the sun during the day, which deserves high praise. The adult swimming pool is huge, the water is crystal clear, and it's not crowded, making for a fantastic swimming experience. The hotel also organized children's activities in both the morning and afternoon, which the kids absolutely loved. "Stepping into the room, the huge floor-to-ceiling windows framed the 'private beach' perfectly, like a painting! In the evening, sitting by the window watching the sea, enjoying a cozy moment by the bathtub, with coconut trees, white tents, and beach umbrellas outside. The sound of waves mixed with the evening breeze felt like stepping into a holiday scene from a movie.
The old pottery jar was brimming with pink flowers, and tall palm trees provided ample shade. Posing for photos with the sea as a backdrop, my straw hat and green backpack instantly created that 'island vibe' in every shot.
The beach was equally stunning: crystal-clear water, soft golden sand, and small fishing boats gently beached. In the distance, a few fishing figures dotted the horizon. Walking barefoot on the sand, watching the clouds drift by, all my worries were swept away by the sea breeze.
From the meticulous landscape design and the romantic sea views from the room, to the relaxed beach terrace, this guesthouse truly embodied the 'island dream' in every single detail. Staying here, I finally understood what it means to 'live life poetically and give your holiday back to the sea.' The staff from the golf club were very rude not allowing visitors walk on the wooden walkway during the entire daytime for some bureaucratic and prerogative reasons which were non-transparent and unacceptable.

Let me just say upfront, I'm not a shill, but out of all the hotels I've stayed at, Mission Hills Haikou's service definitely ranks among the top. Every single staff member has an exceptionally great attitude; almost everyone proactively greets you. The lobby staff were particularly excellent – they arranged breakfast and kids' club access for my child and even upgraded our room. Both the hotel's soft and hard amenities are top-notch, and the breakfast is incredibly rich and definitely deserves praise. I'll definitely stay at Mission Hills Haikou again next time I'm in Haikou.

Anonymous UserWe stayed at Aloha Clearwater Bay Lingshui with our two kids for a self-driving trip, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations!
The room was spacious, and the balcony was huge with a comfortable view. The independent bathroom was clean and tidy.
For families driving, I have to commend the parking lot. There are plenty of spaces, and they even have charging stations, which is super convenient for electric vehicles.
The family-friendly amenities were a real surprise. With indoor and outdoor kids' clubs, a water park, and a pet park, there were so many activities. It was highly engaging; we stayed for two days straight, and the kids found something new to do every day and never got bored.
From the hotel, it's just a short walk downstairs to Clearwater Bay's ”singing beach,” perfect for digging in the sand and tide-pooling.
Both Xincun Night Market and Wanfu Night Market are nearby, making it easy to find food, and ordering takeout was also convenient!
This place is perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation. We'll definitely choose it again next time we're in Clearwater Bay. Highly recommended!

We arrived quite late, and there was only one lady at the front desk, but her service was still thoughtful, detailed, and comprehensive. She meticulously informed us about all the included amenities like parking and breakfast, and even helped us extend our check-out time for the next day. We were super satisfied with the service! The kids loved the bunk beds, and the room was spacious with very comfortable beds. Of course, the shower pressure wasn't particularly strong. The breakfast was decent. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we're in Haikou.

AI recently stayed at Nanshan Temple Muyin, Qinghuandu Rainforest View Hotel, and overall, it was a very peaceful and enjoyable experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all amenities in excellent condition, which made my stay truly relaxing.
The service was excellent. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. A great example of this was when I tried to work out at the gym, which is located outdoors and had flooring that wasn’t ideal. The staff noticed me exercising and promptly offered an exercise mat so that my clothes would not get dirty. This thoughtful gesture left a positive impression.
The hotel facilities were generally good, and the serene environment around the property added to the experience. The food was okay—not bad, but nothing particularly outstanding. Still, it didn’t take away from the overall comfort of my stay.
In summary, Nanshan Temple Muyin, Qinghuandu Rainforest View Hotel is a great choice for those looking for a peaceful getaway with excellent service and comfortable rooms, even if the dining experience could be improved slightly.

We went in mid June, rainy season so it was low season. For the price that we paid for the 2 bedroom villa, which included breakfast (at another hotel) entry to ocean park, The Five Country Hot Spring City, and personal shuttle bus service within the island. I think it was well worth it. Service was prompt and courteous, although communication was all through WeChat and in Chinese. Convenient but knowing sone Chinese would be better to utilize services . We stayed in the Japanese style villa, and it was tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. We especially loved having our own dry and steam sauna, and our own personal outdoor hot spring bath! Real hot spring mineral water! I recommend this place especially for people who love hot spring baths and want to avoid busy touristy hotels.
Cleanliness: overall quite clean.
Location: walking distance to ocean park and hot spring city, so quite convenient. 5-10 minutes shuttle ride to most places within the island.
Service: knowing someone is available 24 hours was nice. They were eager to help with whatever we needed. The main concierge during the day was more friendly, competent and experienced.
Amenities: everything we needed was provided. There was a Dyson hair dryer, fridge etc. If you are picky about your shampoo soaps etc, you may want to bring your own. But they do provide them.

The surrounding amenities are great, but it's very crowded. The shuttle service was terrible; the driver left without waiting for us, and didn't stop even when we chased after it. It was very sunny and hot, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're traveling with kids, unless you pay for their private car service. This felt like a hidden cost. We paid over 2000 for two rooms that day, which isn't cheap at all. The shuttle service from the hotel to the Ocean Park was very bad. The bus was packed, and my child even went missing, which led to us calling the police. This shuttle service has serious safety issues. For breakfast, there were too many people and not enough tables, so we had to wait a long time. We had to find seats ourselves with our child. There weren't enough staff, and the staggered timing for meals didn't work well. In short, it was a terrible and expensive trip. The staff themselves were very kind and helpful, but every single aspect of the experience made me feel like I was about to explode. I don't know why. It was completely different from our stay at Hilton last year. The room cleanliness wasn't great, probably because it was peak season and they didn't have time to clean thoroughly!

TangtangnuomizhouTraveling with kids, the hotel's overall environment is quite good and has a resort-like feel. The rooms are spacious, and for the same price, staying at a hotel feels more reliable than a homestay. Breakfast is decent, but there's an extra charge for children over 1.4m tall, which is a bit of a downside. The housekeeping service is practically non-existent; I had to call ten times to get an answer once. The pool wasn't particularly clean, and my child said there were bugs at the bottom. The room door was a bit difficult to close, probably due to the humid weather, and there was no smart TV.
