Hot Springs Hotels in Hainan, China

February 21, 2026 – Stayed in a Sea View Family Room During our Spring Festival trip to the western side of Hainan, Ocean Flower Island was a crucial stop. We planned a two-night stay and, for convenience, chose the highly acclaimed Oubao Hotel on the island. 1. **Parking:** If you're driving, you can directly access the island and navigate to the Oubao Hotel. There's an underground parking lot, and if it's full, staff can direct you to other nearby parking areas. For those leaving the island, you can register at the front desk in advance to enjoy free parking. 2. **Hotel:** The hotel is massive in scale. The majestic lion sculptures and fountain outside the main entrance are grand, especially at night with the interwoven lighting, it feels like entering another world. It boasts the most single-unit guest rooms in Asia, composed of four interconnected Y-shaped European castles, each with a unique natural theme: forest, ocean, castle, and glacier. Our room was in the Glacier Castle, with corridors and rooms featuring a blue and white palette and abundant glacier and animal elements. The ground floors of the four castles connect to form the hotel lobby and check-in area. The space is vast, with a cathedral-like glass dome ceiling. In the center below, there was a festive New Year display, a vibrant and joyful scene. On one side of the lobby, two grand, symmetrical spiral staircases descend from the second floor, one white and one red, both adorned with flowers, creating a noble and elegant photo spot. The lobby has four exits, each leading to a different castle. After checking in at the front desk, you choose your path based on your room. Each castle has over ten elevators. The entire process left me with one impression: grandness! 3. **Room:** Both the main room and the bathroom were very spacious. It had one large bed and one smaller bed; the small bed, shaped like a train engine, was a nice touch, and the bedding was comfortable. The room's decor and configuration were quite simple and standard, but the glacier theme, with polar bear and penguin elements everywhere, added a refreshing touch. The shower was good, and it was quite rare that the shower enclosure hardly leaked. The window faced the sea, but there was a garden green belt between the castles, so the sea was distant and not a spectacular, unobstructed view. However, we were lucky enough to catch the sunset on our check-in day. The afterglow of the sunset painted the sea, fishing boats, bridge, and villa complex in our view a beautiful reddish hue. This combination and visual experience were stunning and definitely a plus. 4. **Breakfast:** The breakfast restaurant had palace-like high ceilings and space, arranged in a long strip, which made the food retrieval path a bit inefficient. The dishes were abundant and diverse, with local specialties. During our two-day stay, we sampled Hainan Yi noodles, Hou'an noodles, coffee cake, coconut cake, pumpkin cake, and other local delicacies. My elder child loved the Hou'an noodles so much she had two bowls every morning. The dessert selection was also very rich. 5. **Other Facilities and Offers:** During our two-day stay, we experienced the following: On the first evening, we attended a music festival and firework show at the Guanhai Park, with discounted tickets for hotel guests. There's a free bus shuttle near the hotel entrance that goes to places like the Ocean Park and the Fitness Center. We took this shuttle on the second day to swim at the Fitness Center. The hotel's own pool was unavailable, but we could use the Fitness Center's pool for free. It's a standard 50-meter lap pool, and it was my first time experiencing such a pool. There's also a mini-train station on the island not far from the hotel entrance, but we didn't use it. 6. **Service:** All the staff we encountered were very responsible and professional, indicating a high level of overall training. In summary, it was a truly perfect stay, making it a top choice for accommodation when visiting Ocean Flower Island. Besides meeting basic needs for food, entertainment, and lodging, it also offered a sense of grandeur that is quite rare.

The Narada Resort & Spa Sanya Qixianling is nestled deep within a tropical rainforest, offering a tranquil and secluded environment. The rooms are spacious and elegant, with lush mountain views right outside the window. The natural hot spring water is of excellent quality; soaking in it while listening to birdsong and insects truly helps you relax both body and mind. The dining features local specialties made with fresh ingredients. The service is attentive and thoughtful, making it an ideal choice for escaping the hustle and bustle and rejuvenating yourself.

Absolutely stunning! Facing the sea, it's incredibly refreshing and calming. Rongshanliao is Hainan's very own Dali! This hotel is also very Instagrammable and has a fresh, minimalist vibe. If I had to be nitpicky, I'd say the cleanliness could be a bit better. But I don't blame the owners; the beach is right outside, and with white floors, it's hard to keep it spotless every second. Perhaps they could consider putting a hose to rinse off sand right by the entrance?

Location & Surroundings The hotel is situated by Xinglong Shimei Lake, about a 15-minute drive to Shimei Bay and 10 minutes to Xinglong town center. Its biggest draw is the sprawling tropical botanical garden landscape, with lakes and waterways creating a picturesque Southern China scene. Waking up to the sound of birdsong every morning is incredibly therapeutic. Room Experience The rooms are spacious with balconies, and the bathrooms are generously sized. The coconut-scented toiletries provided add a nice local touch. Dining The freshly made Southeast Asian-style noodle soups and Hou'an noodles are worth trying every day. The pandan cake and coconut pudding in the dessert section are as authentic as those found in local traditional shops. The 'Southeast Asian Theme Night' buffet dinner stands out, with authentic flavors in the curry crab and satay skewers. Family-Friendly The terraced swimming pool complex is cleverly designed, with shallow areas perfect for toddlers to play and an infinity-edge view in the adult section. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to Shimei Bay beach daily, along with sand-digging tools and cold drinks, which is a very thoughtful service. Hot Spring Experience Relaxing in the hot spring pools under the coconut trees in the evening, you can smell the faint, pleasant fragrance of plants drifting through the air.

Amy at the reservation center was very enthusiastic and introduced the activities during the May Day holiday. Fishing and shrimping, which my little friend really likes, was very fun. Informing in advance that we can take the transfer point bus for free at the transfer station avoided a lot of embarrassment. Especially Amy was very careful to remind us to pay attention to the weather and take good sun protection. It was a very considerate service. I will come to Boao next time.

Whenever I want to eat seafood, I always like to go to Maniao. The first choice for staying is Lingao Country Garden Golden Beach. The hotel should have been opened for more than ten years. The hotel facilities are well maintained and the service level is excellent. This year, it was quite unexpected that a staff member contacted me in advance the day before check-in, and arranged a room for me in advance and upgraded it. Thank you very much. I hope that the service level can be maintained for a long time. There are not many good hotels on the west line of Hainan.

There is a golf course in the hotel~the slopes and vegetation are very beautiful~you can go for a walk when the sun goes down (it is very sunny, pay attention to sun protection) and you can also experience⛳️. The hotel rooms are fully equipped and the sea view room has a wide view. You can feel the sun bathing and the sea breeze on the balcony. Breakfast is on the first floor. There are both Chinese and Western food. It is very rich. You can walk downstairs to the swimming pool and open air♨️. ♨️It is worth experiencing. You can enjoy the sea view while soaking in the hot spring. There is also a duty-free shop on the first floor. You can get a 30% discount with your ID card and flight information. Items can be delivered to your home. The service is generally good. When you arrive, someone will help you take your luggage to the hotel room. The hotel is in a great location. It only costs 10-15 yuan to take a taxi to the beach. Very suitable for family travel, business travel, personal travel, etc.

Excellent value for money! A special thank you to our butler, Fiona, who was incredibly attentive and thoughtful from check-in to check-out. She proactively helped us plan our itinerary and patiently responded to our needs late into the night. The room offered a stunning sea view, the bedding was comfortable, and the food was authentic. The Haikou Marriott Hotel is definitely a five-star establishment. It's conveniently located next to the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, which provides a steady stream of guests through various annual exhibitions. The hotel's decor is a sophisticated and tasteful 'New Chinese' style.

I'm not sure if it's called Haikou State Guest House or Fairmont Haikou, but its location is excellent, with beautiful sea views. The hotel facilities are very high-end; you can tell it was a very upscale hotel many years ago. It also has a swimming pool. Both the breakfast and the paid dinner at the hotel were quite good, and the staff were all very friendly and promptly resolved any issues when called. The only downside is that the carpet in the room should be replaced; the entire room smelled musty, and the bedding was the same.

The front desk staff were very professional. There was a minor issue, and they kindly upgraded our room. I recommend booking a room with a bathtub directly if possible; there's a disposable tub liner next to it, which is perfect for a relaxing hot bath after a tiring day of travel. The room was quite spacious and quiet at night.
