"Upon early check-in, I found that my reserved mountain view room was located by the road. After speaking with the front desk, the hotel immediately offered a complimentary upgrade to a river view room, which was much quieter and offered a more scenic view. Both the in-room and external facilities were excellent, comfortable, and spotless. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful. All the benefits promised on my booking were fully delivered. The hotel is currently undergoing a second phase of expansion, and I look forward to even more facilities and room options in the near future."

"Apologies, I promised the owner I'd leave a review sooner, but I completely forgot once I returned to Chengdu.
The hotel is nestled deep within the Bifengxia scenic area, a high-end guesthouse that beautifully blends old structures with newly built sections. We stayed in the 'Fuyao Zhi' room (pictured in the second image), which I believe is part of the newer section and incredibly stylish. The large windows offer stunning views of distant mountains and another traditional residence.
The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including various indoor activities (like calligraphy copying and tea ceremonies) and an outdoor forest activity space surrounded by tea gardens (featuring treehouses, trampolines, etc.). The front area also offers outdoor activities such as bonfires, barbecues, and karaoke.
All the staff, especially the guy at the front desk in the burgundy sweater, were incredibly enthusiastic. The housekeeping was also meticulously done. The young man with glasses who handled our transfers to and from the Bifengxia scenic area was incredibly punctual. It's clear that both the staff and the owner put a tremendous amount of effort and passion into their guests and the guesthouse, which was the most impressive aspect for me.
While the overall price point is on the higher side for Bifengxia, the experience was absolutely outstanding. I can honestly say that this stay elevated the joy and comfort of our entire Bifengxia trip."

"I booked this hotel last minute, and upon arrival, it seemed like any other business hotel, with prices much higher than typical business hotels. However, after checking in and going up to my room, I immediately understood the hotel's unique character. There aren't many rooms on each floor, and the ceilings are quite high. The moment I entered the room, I felt the price was justified – the space was incredibly large. The hotel had already inserted the key card and turned on the air conditioning, and despite facing the street, I didn't hear any outside noise. There was even a dedicated tea corner, and the bed had those special pillows, which ensured I had a great night's sleep, relieving the fatigue from a long day of travel. It's a very nice, niche, and distinctive hotel."

"Real experience: The experience was great, definitely a hotel I'd visit again.
1. Outdoor rooftop hot spring: Enjoying a private hot spring at 9 PM, 2000 meters above sea level – just thinking about it is romantic!
2. Fully smart room: Very convenient. The smart speaker controls the curtains and lights, and there's a smart toilet. The room is very new.
3. The front desk lady was very helpful; I left some wet clothes behind, and she even helped me dry them.
Small suggestions: A guesthouse with a dryer would be a plus! If the room could provide 1-2 laundry bags, it would be more convenient as carrying small items downstairs can be a bit awkward. The front desk lady did find me a plastic bag, though.
Overall, highly recommended! The pillows and mattress were also very comfortable to sleep on. 😘"

"I've visited Mount Emei many times, usually staying at Chan Yi Shan Ju or Le Meridien. This time, my road trip was more spontaneous, coming from other scenic spots. I originally planned to stay at the newly opened Banyan Tree, but it was fully booked. I stumbled upon this hotel, just 200 meters from the Banyan Tree, and decided to book it just to try it out.
Overall, the location is good, and self-parking is convenient. The hotel facilities are quite new. I tried the bamboo forest garden hot spring, which was decent and met expectations. The most pleasant surprise was the affordable price, offering great value for money. It's perfect for a relaxed and leisurely trip to Mount Emei, for dining and unwinding. Definitely a good choice.

"The room was spacious and clean, and the view was absolutely stunning. Waking up to the sunshine in the morning was such a treat! The hotel itself is very photogenic, and the location is unbeatable. The Fishing Village and various shops are just a few minutes' walk away on either side. Strolling along the boardwalk at dawn, waiting for the sunrise, was incredibly relaxing. The food was also quite good. I highly recommend choosing a room in the Ocean View building here; sitting on the balcony sofa and soaking up the sun made me not even want to leave the room."

"This hotel was the most satisfying accommodation during our Emei Mountain trip. It offered great value for money and its location right next to Baoguo Temple meant we didn't have to rush back and forth. The overall environment was quiet and elegant, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The public hot spring was a fantastic experience, perfect for relieving the fatigue of hiking. GGuest UserThe hotel's scenery is exceptionally beautiful, with a Chinese-inspired design and blessings extended to every guest. The courtyard is adorned with crape myrtle, pomegranates, and magnolia flowers, creating a sense of abundant beauty and prosperity. Flower-lined paths lead to picturesque spots, making every step a delight, and allowing one to forget all worries and simply immerse in the moment. The public hot springs are spacious, available both indoors and outdoors. The rooms are private villas, some with their own hot spring baths, and the温泉 water is natural radon spring water. The front desk managers, Helen and Li Yilin, were very attentive. I would definitely choose Fairmont Chengdu Hot Springs again if I have the chance; it must be even more beautiful in the autumn. This was a wonderful trip.

This was an absolutely stunning stay — one of the best I've experienced, and it truly blew us away. We had a balcony room with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The resort is run by a warm couple and a team of locals who were wonderfully attentive and helpful, arranging our transportation from Chengdu to their doorstep and back.
The food was exceptional — wholesome, nourishing and deeply local. The dinner hotpot hit the spot on a cold night, and breakfast was healthy and energising — exactly what you need before a long day of hiking. The room itself was spectacular; waking up to pine trees dusted with snow and a clear mountain view was something else. On a clear night, you could stargaze from the balcony and melt into the rocking chair. Simply blissful and a good escape from the city life. Highly recommend NPS 10.

The couple who run the place are genuinely lovely — always on hand to ensure you have a great stay. Responsive over WeChat to help coordinate logistics ahead of the trip, and they'll drop you at the entrance of the main hiking sites. Other staff were equally helpful. The primary language is Chinese, but they are patient and a translation app works perfectly fine.

A 10-minute drive from both Changping and Shuangqiao valleys. Not much in the immediate surroundings — quaint little farms, grazing cows, and steep hills that will test anyone not yet acclimatised.

The hotpot on both nights was incredibly nourishing and full of flavour, featuring a variety of local wild vegetables and mushrooms. There is also a stir-fry menu with a solid selection of local dishes, though we stuck to the hotpot both evenings.

Snowcapped peaks and beautiful pine forests as far as the eye can see (visited in April). I could have sat and stared out the window all day.

The mountains and hiking trails are the main draw here — and honestly, the only activity you'll ever need. Shuangqiao is absolutely gorgeous and you could spend a whole day there if you like to hike(instead of just taking the bus). Changping is more for hikers, no bus service with a different charm, I love it more cause it was less touristy.
The immediate area is quiet — everything you need is within the hotel itself. Stock up on essentials in the city, or check with staff ahead of time if there's anything specific you need. It's a hillside town, four hours from Chengdu.

DDaochuzouzoukankanThe hotel is not far from Huashuiwan Hot Spring Town, built by the roadside, making parking convenient with a dedicated underground parking garage. There are two accommodation buildings. The price is a bit high, but the environment is quite good, though there's not much to explore in the surrounding area. The room was spacious, although the walls were a bit dirty. The hot springs are great, with about 10 pools built along the river, plus a sauna room. There's also an outdoor swimming pool. Overall, the facilities are complete. Breakfast was very rich with a wide variety of options. The jam tasted homemade, which was a pleasant surprise – they even provided a butter knife, which many larger hotels don't! It would be a pretty good deal if the price were under 500.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is conveniently located close to the ancient city, just a short walk away. However, getting around the hotel can be a bit inconvenient. The lobby is on the 4th floor, and the parking is on the -2nd floor, accessible by a different elevator. After parking, you have to take the elevator up to the 4th floor, and there's a section where you have to carry your luggage down stairs without a ramp, which isn't ideal. After checking in at the 4th-floor lobby, you then need to take another elevator to your room. If you want to leave the hotel, you first have to take an elevator to the 4th-floor lobby, and then take a different elevator from the 4th-floor lobby down to the 1st floor. This constant switching of elevators, especially if you need to go back to your car to get something, is quite cumbersome and not very practical.

GGuest UserEverything was amazing from start to end. Our host picked us up from the train station and took us directly to the accomodation. He waited while we got changed to quickly shuttle us to the pickup area for the bus to the Golden Summit. At the end of the day, he was waiting for us to shuttle us back to the hotel.
The hotel’s location is spectacular and our room was beautiful with an amazing view of the mountains.
We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. Breakfast, likewise, was really tasty.
The staff really made us feel comfortable and were available to answer questions and provide suggestions at any time. Felt like a very luxurious stay.

GGuest UserWhat an amazing find. Right inside the park, run by a lovely hostess who helped arrange our arrival from the train station, a great tour of the park, and helped with any questions we had. The room was super clean, very comfortable, with modern touches like a projector screen and fully automated blinds and curtains. The highlight, though, were the delicious and varied meals. So many mushroom and bamboo dishes available. Excellent breakfast each morning with farm fresh eggs, steam cakes and noodles. I would highly highly recommend a stay here.

GGuest UserVisiting Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain was truly a great experience, and the hotel stay was fantastic. It's just a one-minute walk from the high-speed rail station, which is perfect for out-of-town visitors. The service was also very good; they were always ready to help with anything. The decor has a great vibe, and I imagine the owner is a cultured person. The bamboo-woven 'green mountain' at the entrance of the lobby is especially the highlight of the entire hotel. Highly recommend it! The price is also reasonable. I'll definitely choose Yue Shang Qing Xiang again if I get the chance.

YYilia..The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We drink a lot of water, and they didn't bat an eye, which was great. The sister who wore traditional clothing also had excellent service. However, the rooftop on the fourth floor was quite desolate, and there were sunflower seed shells left there for days without being cleaned. The hotel is not far from the scenic area. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. You get what you pay for, and for the price, I think it met expectations. The only thing I didn't particularly like was the breakfast; it wasn't very tasty. The buns, corn, and purple sweet potatoes were all cold, and the noodle topping wasn't good. But we stayed for two days, and while the first day's breakfast was terrible, the second day's was much better, so it might depend on the specific day. Overall, it's pretty good – not amazing value, but not a bad deal either. It's an average guesthouse, which is perfectly normal.

GGuest UserI loved this guesthouse so much I took a lot of pictures. Lu Jing isn't close to the scenic area entrance or the direct shuttle bus stop, but the environment is truly wonderful and it offers a completely different experience from a typical chain hotel. They offer one free pickup (though since I was coming from Huanglong Scenic Area, they could only pick me up at the shuttle drop-off point), and every morning they drop you off at the scenic area entrance. Because it's not near the commercial district, it's very quiet and not crowded. It was perfect for my solo trip. The in-room amenities were top-notch; I slept very comfortably. The bathroom faucets and showerheads were all Kohler, and the room was very clean. The front desk lady even helped me carry my luggage to my room when I checked in, the service was excellent. Next time I come to Jiuzhaigou in the autumn, I'll definitely stay here again!
