I had a great stay at the Sheraton in Huzhou, which sits right on the beautiful Taihu Lake. The hotel itself is a major attraction, and every room comes with amazing views and excellent facilities. The villas are especially impressive, each one has its own hot spring and a private swimming pool, which makes the experience even more relaxing. The hot spring area at the hotel is super comfortable, and the night light show is absolutely spectacular. Walking around the lake and around the hotel feels peaceful and enjoyable. A special thanks to Ms. Lucy Liu from the front office. She speaks good English and acted almost like a personal butler during my stay. She helped with everything, planning the hot spring visit, suggesting nearby boating options, and offering support whenever needed. Her kindness really made my stay even better. This hotel is great for solo travelers, couples, and families. Highly recommended!
Found the treasure of Jiaxing parent-child travel - Qingchi Hot Spring Hotel! It's really worry-free to bring your baby here!
As soon as I entered the hotel, the child was attracted by the outdoor non-powered park! The large lawn is equipped with a grass slide, climbing net, seesaw, swings, and a super exciting giant slide. The child ran and screamed and sweated profusely. The old mother was finally able to completely free her hands with her new friends!
When you are tired of playing, take your baby to the hot spring directly! There are more than 30 indoor and outdoor hot springs to choose from. The first choice for taking your baby is the children's water area. The shallow pool is equipped with a cute cartoon water spray device, and the child is having fun with a swimming ring.
The staff was very considerate throughout the whole process, sending fruits and no need to worry about service problems. Praise the staff Cheng Penghan for sending delicious ice bean curd. I wanted to buy one the next day, but unfortunately there was no stall. When eating buffet breakfast, my daughter spilled the milk. The cleaning lady came over immediately to help clean it up and comforted the child that it was okay.
The surrounding attractions are also very convenient, very close to Wuzhen and Nanhu Lake. I sincerely recommend it to all families with children, a one-stop solution for walking and relaxing.
The only drawback is that there are tomato skins on the rims of the cups in the bathroom. I don’t know which batch of guests left them, but they are still there. The floor is not very clean either.

The hotel environment was elegant, and the service was quite warm. However, the cancellation policy is really inhumane. I booked it for my family, drawn by the environment. I booked it at midnight for a stay the next evening. But after sleeping for one night, three out of seven of us started coughing and having runny noses. I immediately contacted the hotel, explaining that our group might pose an infection risk and hoped to cancel. Since the total booking time was less than 12 hours, even Trip.com customer service agreed that cancelling in such a situation was for the health of other guests and wouldn't tie up hotel resources. But the hotel insisted they would not allow a cancellation. If we canceled, we'd have to follow their cancellation policy and forfeit 50% of the room fee. Fine, so we went. Once at the hotel, we didn't dare use the hot spring, so we just sat by the pool and soaked our feet. Then, when I opened a towel, there were other guests' false eyelashes on it 🤦♀️. And that was pretty much the end of it. It was almost 2,000 yuan per room, and while it said it could accommodate three people, the third person was on an extra bed. As a woman, I felt like I'd fall off if I turned over, and it wasn't long enough for an adult male; I, a woman, barely fit. The breakfast was the most disappointing. A 40 yuan breakfast voucher per person, and if you ordered over, you had to pay the difference. This is the first time in all these years I've stayed in a room at this price and been served breakfast of this caliber. Since I was traveling with elders, I didn't want anyone to be unhappy, but perhaps my expectations were too high, and overall, I was very disappointed. The hotel bed was so uncomfortable. As a result, because everyone didn't rest well, we didn't continue sightseeing in the ancient town the next day; we just went home to catch up on sleep. I also got a worse cold because of the poor rest, and enduring a 10+ hour flight while sick was quite difficult.

Pros:
1. Newly opened, but odor-free.
2. The private hot spring room is very well laid out, with three separate rooms that don't interfere with each other.
3. The hotel staff are very polite in person. Room service is always responsive. After our first day, we returned to the hotel at 10 PM and wanted to use the private hot spring. I noticed some water stains in the pool, worried it wasn't clean, so I asked for it to be disinfected right away. They were very diligent and came, which is a huge credit.
4. The room was equipped with a Toto smart toilet, a Panasonic hair dryer, a capsule coffee machine, and drinking water, including four cans of VOSS and two bottles of Nongfu Spring. If the water wasn't enough, we could refill it with Nongfu Spring.
5. The soup is supposedly real, not boiler water, and it's very slippery after a soak. The outdoor hot spring automatically drains at 10 PM every night and automatically fills in the morning.
6. The travel photography lady who provided the service was very professional.
7. Generous! I asked if we could add breakfast for the children, and they readily agreed.
Overall, staying in such a new and established hotel in Zhoushan, a city known for its high prices, was quite good during the summer vacation. However, there are some shortcomings that I would like to mention.
In particular, the hospitality was superficial, with more formality than substance. For example:
1. I contacted them the night before check-in and specifically inquired about our check-in staff. I also made it clear that I didn't need children's amenities, as I have teenagers. However, upon check-in, the room still had children's amenities, no men's slippers, and no third bath towel or robe. Considering the phone call the night before, this is unacceptable and should have been avoided.
2. In a similar situation, they called me the night before and left their WeChat number, saying they would add me and provide guidance and assistance. In the end, they didn't even offer to add me until I checked in the next day. It would have been better not to mention this service.
3. I haven't encountered a hotel that requires a deposit in a while. It's no big deal if they do. When I checked out, they said we would return the same day by the same route. The next day, I remembered and checked, but there wasn't any. I asked again, and they refunded it. What if I hadn't forgotten to check? 4. The package includes a complimentary mini bar each day. Upon check-in, I was verbally informed that only four items were free; the rest were charged. After check-in, I discovered there were no signs distinguishing the items that were charged, and I hadn't even remembered the verbal notification. I called room service twice before I finally understood. I asked if the Coke and Sprite in the mini bar could be replaced with sparkling water the next day, and they said they would note it. However, not only was there no replacement, but when I returned home after a day of fun, not a single bottle was refilled, forcing me to order more.
Two other drawbacks are worth mentioning.
1. The breakfast had a wide variety, but the taste was lackluster. On the first day, everything we tried was a complete failure, and on the second day, we mostly just had porridge and watermelon. The afternoon tea was similarly beautiful, but not very tasty.
2. The bed was too small. The 1.2-meter bed couldn't be moved. While everything else was very user-friendly, this particular point was hard to understand. Aren't twin beds in hotels of this caliber typically 1.35 meters? Even if you have a 1.2-meter bed, it should be possible to move the beds together. This is something to consider carefully for a family of three.

My husband and I went to the mountains to relax. We carefully selected Jianye, which lived up to our expectations. The environment and sanitation were good, and the service was very good. Although the breakfast was simple, it was very attentive! We ate it every day and didn't waste it! There were also many restaurants around, and we could order takeout at night! You can imagine how lively this is in Anji, very close to Yunshang Grassland! There are also many things to do around! I will bring my children with me next time!

The room was very good, bigger than expected. The breakfast was also delicious, the facilities were relatively new, the front desk lady had already turned on the air conditioner in advance on the night we arrived, and the service was also very good. I was given a souvenir when I left

The reception of Mr. Yue is good, the room is clean, the hotel atmosphere is also very good, the audio and video equipment, bathroom equipment, bed quilts, etc. of the room are great. But the tenant next door in the middle of the night was too noisy, loud and noisy, unbearable, after contacting the front desk, the front desk immediately assisted in solving the problem, the service was very good. Recommended. It can only be said that the good environment needs to be maintained by the tenants. I hope that if I return to Shaoxing next time, I can experience the quality of such a good accommodation. I hope that the tenants can cherish the hotel's equipment and jointly maintain a good accommodation environment.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The room design is gorgeous, we had a loft room that felt very authentic and stylish. The whole place is so tranquil and nestled in nature.
Highlights for us were the unique Chinese breakfast and the unbeatable location right next to Shuanglong Cave (which is incredible by the way; and do not get intimidated by the queue, the cave entry process is very organized). The staff went above and beyond, even helping ALL GUESTS get tickets so they skipped the queue! They were incredibly attentive to all guests’ needs over WeChat, which we really respected. We also received free tickets to various attractions including to the cave. The in-bathroom onsen was also a fantastic touch.
A couple of small things to be aware of:
1. The bathroom sliding doors in our room weren’t very smooth to open and close.
2. The toilet (and I mean the toilet bowl, not the toilet room/bathroom) is really close to the bed (less than a meter), which might be awkward if you're a shy blader.
3. If you're driving, the GPS can take you on some nightmarishly narrow village roads (barely wide enough for one car!). Just a heads-up, though this isn't the hotel's fault.
All in all, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return. A solid 9/10 from us!

First of all, the room is quite big and has a private hot spring. The environment is very quiet and it is quite comfortable to take a bath, but I also want to complain. The service of the housekeeper is extremely inadequate. I added WeChat in advance and just told me on WeChat when and where to have breakfast. After checking in, no one took the villa with us. We took our bags and went to find the room. We drove by ourselves, and they didn't tell us that we had to go to the front desk to enter the license plate number for free parking. I still listened to other housekeepers and guests before asking. My housekeeper told me to ask the front desk to enter it. At that time, I had left the front desk to go to the room. After entering the room, the private hot spring in the courtyard was full of water. I didn't understand whether it was left by the previous batch or the new water. In short, the housekeeper service is really a mess. Let the guests figure it out by themselves. I simply don't want to talk about housekeepers. Let the guests figure it out by themselves. I have almost stayed in all the high-end hotels in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. This is the first time I have encountered such poor housekeeper service. I won't go again next time, haha

I was looking for a peaceful place to unwind in Qiandao Lake, and this was absolutely the right choice. If it weren't for the sudden cold snap, I would have extended my stay for another two days. The entire Xianshan Peninsula boasts a beautiful environment with lush and diverse vegetation. It's very convenient to wander around the hotel grounds, and you can enjoy the stunning Qiandao Lake scenery without the hassle of crowded tourist spots. I even managed to play some tennis, and while the court maintenance wasn't great with peeling floor glue, the outstanding environment, backed by mountains and facing the lake, made up for it, offering a truly tranquil experience.
The hotel staff were all very professional, living up to the standards expected of a qualified five-star hotel.

LLudanxiaTraveling with our kids this time, the hotel's butler service was truly the most touching part! As soon as we got out of the car, the butler proactively came to help with our luggage and arranged the most convenient transportation and sightseeing routes for us, which saved us so much hassle. This kind of family-like care made us feel completely at ease throughout our stay. Seeing the children have so much fun, we knew we had picked the right place! ❤️
GGuest UserTravelers beware! The photos advertising Ke Gamer do not resemble to actual room and the food is horrible. I opted to upgrade to the private hot spring villa for close to 4000rmb a night expecting a high class experience but was instead highly disappointed!
We arrived on a Saturday and reserved a table at the restaurant, famished from traveling and expecting a wonderful meal. They did not mention that this was a set menu (only for the package that was included with the room) so there was no option to select my dishes nor to explain our gluten free diet. First bread came (couldn’t eat it, gluten) then a mushroom chicken soup that was difficult to swallow. Over salted and the chicken was rubbery. Then came there version of a kimchi that was ok. Shrimp next that was battered (gluten) and smothered in mayonnaise, and then an over salted spicy beef dish and inedible veggies dish.At this point we decided to leave and opted instead to pay for food delivery. When we shared this information with the assistant helping us he messaged me saying you are a foreigner would you prefer chicken wings or a steak. I’ve been living in China 10 years and never spoken to so rudely. My gf then wanted to have a soak in the hot spring and have a fire because the rain had stopped but she was told no they could not do this for us that night. That’s when I added the wechat and she deleted him so she would no longer have to talk to someone so rude. We did find it strange that even though I was now in communication with him he still attempted to friend my gf several times, very disrespectful!! After I explained how unsatisfactory the service was to that point he made more of an effort and we did get to enjoy a relaxing evening outside. The next day we stayed away from the restaurant not wanting to have that experience again so ordered delivery service again, decent food for delivery. We did attempt the on site restaurant one more time before checking out for breakfast and this was awful as well. Cold eggs, bacon and sausage. They did have a nice assortment of breads which we could not eat (gluten) so we had a yogurt container and coffee before leaving.
One part of the stay was an assistant driving us into town to a nice tea shop. He took us tot he location and offered to help us select a shop. He was very friendly and helpful inside the shop to explain the differences in teas and get us a good deal. We ended up purchasing 2 boxes of tea to take home.
Overall I did not enjoy the stay at this overpriced and falsely advertised hotel. This is certainly one case when we did not get what we paid for. Wishing you better luck than we had.
BB_inCXianhua Sandalwood International Hotel
Rating: ★★★★☆
We recently stayed at Xianhua Sandalwood International Hotel during the national holiday in China, and overall, our experience was quite enjoyable. Here’s a breakdown of our stay:
**Location: 浦江仙华檀宫国际度假酒店
**Check-In Experience:**
We arrived at Xianhua Sandalwood International Hotel and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff greeted us warmly and provided all the necessary information about our stay. However, the English was limited, but at least it was smooth and no hassles.
**Room Comfort:**
Our room was spacious and well-appointed. We appreciated the comfortable king sized bed, view, huge bathtub, cleanliness, and spaciousness. However, as a coffee lover, there was only one serving of coffee, so when we woke up the next morning I was quite upset that only myself was able to enjoy an early morning coffee. Nevertheless, it was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
**Facilities:**
The hotel offered various facilities that enhanced our stay. We particularly enjoyed facilities like a fitness center, indoor pool, hot springs, table tennis and the pool table. The breakfast buffet was delightful, offering a mix of local and international cuisine.
**Service:**
The staff was exceptional. They were always available and eager to assist with any requests. Their friendly approach made our stay even more pleasant. The front desk manager Kang was super friendly and arranged for the coffee bar to open earlier the day we checked out.
**Room for Improvement:**
While our overall experience was positive, there were a couple of areas for improvement. We traveled with our 7 month old daughter and the noise and maintenance were quite unpleasant. However, these didn’t detract significantly from our enjoyment.
**Final Thoughts:**
This international hotel is just a few minutes' drive from the city, offering a serene escape with a beautiful exterior. Guests are welcomed by a picturesque fish pond, vibrant gardens, playful rabbits, and a designated play area for kids, making it an ideal family-friendly destination.
In addition to comfortable accommodations and expected amenities, the hotel provides a relaxing environment for guests of all ages.
Would we return? Absolutely!
MM40145****Can I just say, what an amazing surprise! This family-friendly resort is completely underrated by its name!
**Room:** Spacious and spotless, with breathtaking frontline lake views! Toiletries are all Bvlgari, and they even have a dedicated vanity table for comfortable makeup application – a thoughtful touch. All the kids' amenities are provided, and the king-size bed is perfect for rolling around. The in-room TV also supports screen casting, making cartoon time a delight.
**Dining:** Breakfast runs until 10:30 AM, perfectly accommodating families with kids who want to sleep in. Even around 10:00 AM, the food selection remains abundant, and items are refilled very promptly. They also offer local Thousand Island Lake specialties, which are delicious.
**Entertainment:** The hotel boasts its own 3000㎡ amusement park. The facilities are well-maintained, showing no signs of wear and tear, and the kids played until closing time. The included hot spring is also located within the hotel, accessible directly from the building without having to go outside. It's a semi-open-air setup, but most of the pools are indoors, so there's no need to worry about getting cold. Staff are readily available everywhere, making it very convenient.
**Service:** It's worth mentioning that all hotel staff are incredibly enthusiastic and always willing to help, especially the parking attendants. Their service is almost always smiling and 'running-to-help,' outshining 99% of family hotels. Our butler, COCO, was also very lovely, proactively asking if we needed any assistance, with an excellent attitude.
The entire experience felt absolutely perfect! Already booked a second stay in advance!
AAnonymous UserIt was overall an alright stay, don’t expect Japanese standards. Apparently they had a soft opening period and just opened on April 15. You can see that things aren’t running so smoothly yet, trip.com shows that spa needs to be booked a day in advance, but on WeChat they said no reservations required and we can use anytime. The second day we wanted to use the spa our second time, and was told by a staff we couldn’t use it again, which we were confused about. Later other staff said we could.
The spa itself had spectacular views, but the outdoor pool weirdly had half eaten and rotten apples floating around. After talking to the spa staff they said it was for aesthetic purposes and guests must have eaten them without knowing that. Worrying hygiene standards 😨 apart from that overall hygiene seems to be alright.
All rooms have our own private courtyard so there are two doors, the main wooden door and then the glass door to our actual room. The main wooden door broke down twice - we couldn’t lock it (more like they didn’t fix the problem fully the first time), which wasted our time as we had to sit around to watch the maintenance staff fixing our door.
Breakfast was okay but half the dishes were way too salty for my taste. Weird mix of “Western”, “Japanese” and Chinese dishes. Cheaper to buy on the spot (168 yuan as of today).
Service was not up to the standard of a hotel of this price point. The staff welcoming us seems like she was reading from a script, we couldn’t hear half the time even after asking her to enunciate clearer twice. Felt like they were here to monitor us more than take care of us. Instead of “how may I help you?”, they actually responded “what’s wrong?” on two separate occasions. I don’t think this is acceptable! Some staff also do not greet guests properly.
GGuest UserLocated in a village near Cicheng, it is about half an hour's drive from downtown Ningbo and about two hours from Shanghai. It is a quiet and convenient location.
The housekeeper will contact in advance to confirm the dinner and bathing time. The special bathing pool is by appointment, which is basically a private bath experience. It is very comfortable.
The restaurant tastes good, the stir-fried asparagus is very tender, and a bowl of glutinous rice balls was given when checking in during the Lantern Festival, which is very considerate.
It is very comfortable to stroll around the bamboo forest pond in the village in the morning. The rape flowers are about to bloom recently, and it is a good place for leisure and vacation.
GGuest UserBring your baby to Shaoxing, the hotel upgraded our room for one day for free. Welcome fruit, dessert every day, butler service is very timely. Especially this housekeeper Xiao Ni. The hotel's Chinese restaurant for dinner is not expensive, there is a small zoo and horse riding 😀. The lawn is very large and suitable for outdoor. The hotel is very large, and there are many places such as the wine cellar that I don't have time to visit because I have a baby. I will come again next time.
GGuest UserThe geographical location is excellent. It is very convenient to go to Qiandao Lake Botanical Garden, Tianyu Mountain, and the central pier. The hotel has a Chinese restaurant where you can order food. There is also a hotel opposite, which is convenient for eating and staying. The hotel has a special recreation center for children to play, and you can also go to Huaguoshan to see small animals. The children like swimming, so we also went to the indoor swimming pool. It is very large overall, with complete facilities and equipment. There is also a butler service when you check in. Xiao Zhang responds promptly. I will choose it next time!
GGuest UserAmazing room and location situated right above the main canal in town. The little seating area and tea set by the window looking outside was a nice touch. Staff did t speak much English but using translate apps we got by and they were all super friendly and helpful. Food and hotel restaurant area is also amazing with lots of lovely koi carp and amazing design. Recommend staying here for anybody who wants an authentic historic stay combined with a bit of luxury.
LLaowaiBridgeConclusion: overall great relaxing glamping experience but lack a couple of things. I rate it 7.5/10, I would definitely recommend any laowai to go. also pet friendly as some people brought their pets.
we stayed for 2 nights over the weekend during plum rain season and it was perfect sleeping under the rain pitter patter. The glamping site also have a pool and a small kids playground (nothing fancy).
we stayed on a 2 bedroom tent connected by a tunnel. Food option: breakfast is provided, I'm not sure if the establishment can also provide food for lunch or dinner, but I see some people also buy what appears to be waimai, but we brought our own food and cooked on the deck under the cover with a butane stove, it was great!
Activities; the site also have different activities like SUP, horse riding (with a 3rd party) and bonfire, but we didn't do it. we just walked around the site and found that it's
part of a greater archeological city tourism site being GE
set up.
Negative: The only downsides were our tent had a
bathtub but it wasn't working, the window doesn't have a block out cover and the surrounding area had some street lights to light up the tent area so some lights still get through, and some people also play loud music(since it's a tent it's not sound proof, but this can't be controlled)
