Dogo Onsen Chaharu is a hot spring hotel that is full of modern style yet retains Japanese style. It is not far from Dogo Onsen Main Building and has convenient transportation. The rooms are stylishly designed with minimalist style, spacious and well-equipped. Some rooms also offer beautiful views, allowing you to relax. The hot spring facilities in the hotel are excellent, especially the glass-landscaped bathing pool, which has different atmospheres during the day and at night, allowing you to enjoy the ultimate bathing experience. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, and the service is thoughtful, making people feel the meticulousness and thoughtfulness of Japanese hospitality. The meals are made from fresh local ingredients, beautifully presented and satisfyingly tasty. The overall accommodation experience is quite comfortable. The only minor drawback is the higher price, but it is still worth the money in terms of service and facilities. Highly recommended for travelers who want to enjoy high-quality accommodation in Dogo Onsen!
The atmosphere of the hotel is quite good, the room is comfortable, the waiter's language ability is also very good, and there are many national languages to use the room instructions, which is quite intimate.
There is a welcome bar table downstairs, a rich drink supply (including alcohol), and a microwave oven for light food. If a group of people travel together, you can chat and drink here to increase the sharing of joy.
The hot springs are also very clean and comfortable, but slightly fine. When people use more, it is a bit forced, but the TV in the room shows the number of hot spring users, and you can arrange the use time according to your time.
Laundry and dryer are available, easy to use and convenient, suitable for cleaning clothes immediately after bicycle.
Checking-in progress is excellent from our arrival by car, luggage loading to room by staff, a staff for explanation of room facilities. Private onsen at room is very good. Food of half-board is upto the standard.

The hotel environment is very good, clean and comfortable, there are not many rooms, mainly operating hot springs, indoor and outdoor, not bad. If you come to Saada, Shiguo, it is quite comfortable to live here. By the way, the hotel is very convenient to eat, there is a restaurant, it tastes good.
The first time I stayed at this hotel, the level of health was very high, the restaurant location was relatively small, and the lobby was relatively small.
But the room equipment is very new and clean, there is no noise, the location is not close to the city center, so the environment is very good, but there are large shopping malls nearby. In addition, the hot spring facilities are more disappointing, because there is only a small independent pool, the hot spring pool is less, but overall it is still enjoyable.
The hotel is not close to Dogo Onsen street and you will need to drive or get a taxi if you want to go there. There are no restaurants or shops nearby the hotel. There is a walk nearby the hotel you can take which offers nice scenery in the woods. The hotel looks a bit dated particularly the bedrooms and the corridors. I asked for a quiet room facing the mountain instead of one facing a busy road and had to pay an additional 2200 yen. The hotel has a number of onsens and I like the outdoor ones best. The buffet dinner and breakfast offer good selection and I particularly like the dinner which offered nice teppanyaki beef and sushi.
The hotel reception staff spoke very little English and the hotel did not reply to an email I sent them asking for transportation information to get to the hotel.
There are buses near the hotel which go to Matsuyama and Imabari but they run infrequently.
It's within walking distance of Dogo Onsen. The slope is a bit steep, so using the shuttle bus would be even more convenient. You can visit Isanami Shrine from the hotel without having to climb a steep slope (enter from the parking lot entrance).
The hot spring water was just the right temperature and felt great. Apparently, you could see Matsuyama Castle from the open-air bath (although I can't see it because I have poor eyesight). The twin room was a bit small, but there was plenty of space to spread out my luggage. It would be nice to have a place to store my suitcase (you'll have to place your suitcase or backpack directly on the floor).
The breakfast buffet was also extensive and delicious! My favorites were the French toast and the sea bream rice dish (or sea bream chazuke).
The breakfast was just right and very delicious.
The building was also interesting and interesting.
The Banto and the inn were very kind.
I stayed at inns in various parts of Japan, but the futon was very comfortable and I could sleep well.
I stayed with my mother who was old, but it was a little hard to climb the slope from the station to the inn.
But it was a very impressive inn.
Thank you very much.
A friend recommended this hotel to me as it is the cleanest and most newly renovated of the nearby hotels, so I chose it.
The breakfast, large public bath, rooms, and lobby were all clean and the service was excellent, so I would definitely like to use this hotel again in the future.

GGuest UserWe wanted to experience Dogo Onsen and this was a great choice (albeit expensive because it was a holiday weekend). The hotel is lovely and the service is beyond excellent. The staff was super kind as we are English speakers. Plus, we really enjoyed the hotels onsens better than the ones in town (the Dogo Onsen is being renovated and only one room was open for each gender; the same was the case with the Annex). The hotels onsens were lovely and the private outdoor onsen was a really lovely experience. We also took advantage of their convenient bus service into town although it’s only a 10 minute walk and we walked multiple times. Highly recommend!

AAnonymous UserGood location near the Dogo Onsen Main Building and the onsen streets. The room is very basic and quite small. There was only one pillow provided and there were no extra blankets. There are three onsens in total; one indoor and two outdoor ones. The best part of my stay was the dinner which was sumptuous. It costs 10000 yen per head and has to be ordered in advance of check in.
AAnonymous UserAttention Henro sama! Perfect stay almost across street from T49. I had walked that day from T46. Onsen use included with hotel stay. Onsen water hot and alkaline slimy, my legs feel so much better after an evening and a morning soak. Breakfast was of wide selection, very satisfying. Stand up shower stall a bonus! Drip coffee machine in room also a nice touch. Very smart, modern hotel.
RRenshijiandeguokeI loved Dormy Inn's amenities: the on-site hot springs, complimentary ice pops, Yakult, and evening soba noodles. The service was very friendly, and there's even a free foot bath right outside the entrance.
To get there: Take a ferry from Hiroshima Port to Matsuyama Port. Upon arrival, take a shuttle bus to Takahama Station. From Takahama Station, take the train to Otemachi Station (on this line, Umezu-dera Station is the second stop after Otemachi). Once you exit Otemachi Station, cross the road and catch the tram heading towards Dogo Onsen. Get off at Okaido (大街道), and the hotel is just a two to three-minute walk further in.
The only minor improvement would be for the bedding and bathrobes to be as fresh and dry as the bath towels – that would make the experience absolutely perfect!

GGuest UserThis site of the hotel is very good. It is just one minute' walking distance from the train stop and easily found. It is just at the shopping area and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. Besides, the breakfast is tasty and full of variety. I was very satisfied with this hotel.
