Hot Springs Hotels in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan

The environment is elegant, and I really liked the Western and Japanese style rooms. The spa was also very comfortable 😌... Breakfast is too early, 7:30 and 8:00 – I'm still half asleep! This is a vacation, not going to work. Can't the time be pushed back a bit? We booked dinner, but we arrived late at 7:50 PM, and dinner was gone. We had called them at 7:10 PM to let them know we were stuck in traffic, but the hotel said dinner was gone and wouldn't refund us 😏.

An affordable hotel with its own small onsen. In the evenings, I always had it to myself, which was wonderful! The hotel might not be brand new, but the room was fully equipped with everything I needed – a kettle, a fridge, and a hairdryer. It's located a 15-minute walk from the station, which I didn't find inconvenient at all. I traveled to Nikko every day, using my all-area Free Pass, and the journey, with one transfer, took about 1 to 1.5 hours. For this price, only hostels were available in Nikko. But here, I got a proper hotel with spacious rooms.

Pocopoco is also cool. The auto set is also cool!!! Quiet, friendly, delicious and nice!!! It would be better if it wasn't expensive? ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

The hotel is great! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with many facilities like karaoke, a game center, and more. I visited with my family, a total of 14 people, and they were able to arrange a private room for us for both dinner and breakfast. Both meals were buffet-style and absolutely delicious. The onsen experience was wonderful, and the view from the onsen was fantastic, with a beautiful view of the Kinugawa River. However, there was one issue: when we checked in, the reception took our passports for photocopying. Unfortunately, they missed returning one of the passports to us. It wasn’t until after we checked out and reached our next stop that we realized one passport was missing. We had to go back to the hotel to take it. Despite this, the overall experience was great, and I would still recommend the hotel.

This guesthouse is much cheaper than the hotels next door. While it doesn't offer breakfast, the hot spring water is the same for all guests. We stayed in a Japanese-style room with a slightly elevated tatami bed.

The location is inconvenient; you need to take a bus from Kinugawa Onsen Station. If you don't have a car, be careful. We stayed three nights and twice had to book taxis because we missed the bus, which was expensive and difficult to book. The accommodation and food were average, but the price was incredibly reasonable. The hotel environment was very nice, with a charming little courtyard.

The hotel is new and clean, with a variety of facilities suitable for families. It features large indoor and outdoor baths, a large free parking lot, and spacious, comfortable Japanese-style rooms. The price is reasonable and offers excellent value.

A premium hotel & hotspring in kinugagawa onsen,this hotel also is famous all over japan, because of superb hotspring creation made by a big rock,very new & romantic interior design especially in the lobby,w/ an luxurios chandelier,the outside view is amazing,the famous fureai bridge in kinugawa & river is in the front ,very nice autumn view outside,the room is big,but don't have a telephone & dresser,the food is superb but if you want to drink alcohol,you need to reserve from the front desk during check-in.Intagramable view inside & outside,but don't go here by walking with baggage because of the high stairs in fureai bridge,there's a shuttle bus but you need to pay 300yen.Overall,you can feel the scenic views even you don't go outside,Thanks always Trip.com for very nice booking,more power & God bless always

You can't enter the hotel until 3 pm, and you have to clean it up before that time. You can only check in at 3 pm before. This is the first time that I can’t enter the hotel if I arrive early! There are not many service staff, maybe they are too busy. However, the room was not bad. Dinner was delivered to the room, and a Chinese girl served us. It is rare to have a Chinese-speaking waiter in such a remote place. There is a self-service bar in the lobby, where you can take drinks at will.

Nestled along the shores of Lake Chuzenji, some rooms offer breathtaking views of the lake and the majestic Mount Nantai. The Japanese-style rooms are spacious, featuring tatami flooring, scenic areas, and comfortable beds, perfect for enjoying the beautiful autumn leaves! A special thanks to the two staff members, Lisz and Yuka, for their excellent service and fluent English in introducing each dish. They were truly professional!
