Mo Shang Yi Su, though called a B&B, has long surpassed the typical 'agritainment' style. Its facilities rival those of a star-rated hotel, but with an added warmth and human touch that high-end hotels often lack. When I wanted to visit the Shaolin Temple scenic area, the proprietress said, ”Wait a moment, I'll drive you there.” Upon getting out, she didn't forget to remind me, ”Remember to call me when you're done, and I'll pick you up.” It was only about 600-700 meters, but it was incredibly heartwarming.
As the sun set, the proprietress had already hosed down the rooftop terrace, suggesting we could go up and sit. After dinner, the entire B&B was filled with the scent of agarwood. Each floor also had an elegant tea room.
After a day of sightseeing, the proprietress asked, ”What would you like to eat? We'll cook for you.” After ordering, she said, ”You can go back to your room first, we'll call you when the food is ready.” It truly felt like being at home.
Before I left, the proprietress thoughtfully gave me a parting gift, allowing me to take some of that warmth home with me.
As I checked out, the second-generation young man who drove me to the station shared some simple yet profound words: ”When we run a B&B, we don't compete with farm stays. We just focus on providing excellent service. We try our best to meet our guests' needs. If there's something we can't do, we find someone to help. And for requests guests haven't even made, we try to be thoughtful and proactive, striving to ensure guests leave with no regrets.”

"It's in an alley, but the sign is clear and can be seen from the opposite side of Shaolin Avenue. We arrived before dawn, and the boss came out from his sleep to open the door for us and let us store our luggage. He was such a nice guy. We came back after climbing the mountain in the afternoon and checked in at around 5 o'clock. They also helped us upgrade the room. The room was so beautiful and clean. Thank you again, Jiayun Ruishe gave me wonderful memories of this trip."

"Parking: There's a spacious parking lot right in the hotel courtyard, making it very easy to park.
Service: The staff were very attentive. When we checked out, we were holding our down jackets, and they proactively offered us bags for them. The hotel also offers one complimentary pick-up or drop-off service per day. When I made my reservation, the staff member kindly suggested I could choose a further location for the service, which would be more cost-effective.
Amenities: The room featured smart home technology, and it was a thoughtful touch that the lights automatically turned on as soon as you opened the door, even without inserting a key card. The toothbrushes were color-coded for easy identification, and there was plenty of storage space, which is great for families. The slippers were also of excellent quality.
Breakfast: The breakfast spread was comprehensive, offering both common Chinese and Western options. The spicy soup (Hulatang) was delicious, and they even had savory pancakes (Jiangxiangbing) and steamed red dates, all of which tasted great. Our whole family of three gave it a unanimous thumbs up.
Overall: It exceeded our expectations. If we have the chance to visit again, we would definitely choose to stay here."

"My family and I enjoy leisurely travel, often spending weekends in nice hotels or guesthouses in the mountains around Zhengzhou for a day or two. We avoid tourist attractions and crowds, spending most of our time with the kids in these accommodations. Therefore, we are quite particular about the environment, cleanliness, safety, and service of our accommodations. Over the years, we've stayed in numerous guesthouses of all sizes around Zhengzhou, ranging in price from a few hundred yuan in the off-season to two or three thousand yuan. Some guesthouses are expensive, but the overall experience is worth the price. Others have obvious shortcomings in cleanliness or service, but for a few hundred yuan, it's bearable for one night. I've never written reviews before; I'll stay at guesthouses I like and support them with my actions, while I simply remove those that aren't good from my favorites and won't go back. However, I still want to write a review for this guesthouse. Overall, the location, environment, facilities, cleanliness, and service are all very good, especially considering that guesthouses in Dengfeng are generally not as good as those in places like Yuntai Mountain, Fuxi Mountain, and Chongdugou.
Environment: The view of the mountains is right outside the curtains.
Cleanliness: While other guesthouses often don't maintain the same level of cleanliness as chain hotels, this guesthouse did a great job in terms of cleanliness in the rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
Amenities: The guesthouse was designed by a professional designer, which I learned from chatting with the owner, and it was quite nice. From the bedding and toilet to the disposable toiletries and slippers, everything in the room was carefully selected. There was even a coffee machine in the room, and a drawer with a complete set of cups and Luckin Coffee capsules.
Service: All the staff at the guesthouse were very welcoming and attentive to guests. I chatted with the owner for a long time in the evening; he's a very nice person.
Talking with the owner, I could tell he has many ideas for the guesthouse and plans for more and more features in the future, so I would definitely stay here again when I go to Dengfeng.
Considering the current guesthouse prices that easily exceed a thousand yuan, especially during holidays like May Day, the price of this guesthouse is incredibly good value for money. It's only in Dengfeng that this is remarkable; in any other scenic area in the south or with a better guesthouse, it would easily cost over a thousand yuan.
This is my first time writing a review, and I've written quite a bit. To put it simply, I wanted to promote this guesthouse. The owner hasn't done any online advertising; they've always focused on the customer experience. I think there should be more and more good guesthouses, and we shouldn't let those that focus all their energy on marketing, with increasingly outrageous prices, while the products themselves are mediocre, flood the market."

There is a rooftop spot you can relax at, have tea, and even enjoy your meal there. The Shaolin temple is just a short walk from the hotel, and the owners will offer to drive you every time. Make sure to stay here if you are in the area. You will not regret it."

"I honestly cannot say enough good things about this homestay in Dengfeng. It was the highlight of our trip to the Shaolin Temple area!
The Room: The room was incredibly spacious—way bigger than we expected! And it was very, very clean. Everything from the bedding to the bathroom was spotless and well-maintained. It felt like a home away from home.
The Location: Absolutely fabulous. We were close to all the main sights, including the Shaolin Temple and Mount Song. It made getting around so easy, and there were great local restaurants just steps away.
The Staff (The REAL Highlight): The staff were super, super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. But one moment truly touched our hearts. We were running late for breakfast and arrived just as they were about to clear everything. Even though there was still plenty of food left, we only ate a little because we felt bad keeping them waiting, and we quickly headed out. Just as we were about to leave, the owner came running after us with two packs of milk in her hands. She said, ”You didn't eat much breakfast, so please take this milk before you go.” It honestly melted our hearts. That small, thoughtful gesture showed just how much she truly cares about her guests.
Final Verdict: If you're visiting Dengfeng, do yourself a favor and stay here. Spacious, spotless, perfectly located, and run by the warmest, most generous people. We will definitely be back!"

This homestay is the owner's own three-story single-family courtyard building. There is a parking lot at the door and a charging pile, which is very convenient. The interior of the homestay is very clean, the sanitary conditions are very good, the rooms are spacious and tidy, the supplies are complete, and the accommodation experience is very good. Suitable for friends gathering, family gathering, very good. The large terrace on the third floor is a good place to watch the mountain view, chat, and have a barbecue in summer. The room experience must be praised this time. I recommend it to everyone. I often sleep insomnia. I wake up with a little movement. I walk back at night and make a pot of tea at the boss’s tea table. I feel that my heart is particularly quiet. The quiet cockroaches around at night can hear the birds and frogs. The environment of the homestay is too healing. The courtyard is full of flowers, surrounded by green mountains, full of good scenery, sitting down and drinking a cup of tea is particularly pleasant, especially suitable for emptying solitude, meditation and relaxation.
The location is particularly dominant, very close to Shaolin Temple, and convenient to the visitor center. I thought that the road in the mountains was not easy to walk, but I didn't expect the road conditions to be particularly smooth, and there was no pressure to drive.
Parking is particularly worry-free. The breakfast is simple, the home-cooked taste is simple and delicious, the food is very comfortable, and I drank three bowls.
The boss is two simple and sincere brothers, warm and friendly, really intimate. The overall experience is full, the price is super high, I really recommend it to friends who want to come to the mountains for a holiday!

Guest UserThis is a newly opened hotel with excellent, brand-new facilities. The bedding is fresh, the shower provides instant hot water, and the slippers are incredibly soft and comfortable. The hairdryer is powerful, allowing for a quick hot shower to wash away the day's fatigue before a wonderful night's sleep! The entire room is smart-enabled, and the service is proactive, including laundry and wake-up calls. Highly recommend!

Everything was amazing, the hotel was beautiful with an amazing view of the mountains. The staff was incredibly helpful and made our stay even better, especially Wang Jing who could speak English and helped us with translation. They even let us use the hot springs and pool after our checkout. The restaurant served delicious food at a very comfortable price. I stayed in a Mongolian type room and it was a great experience, very clean and confortable. I will definitely come back!

The hotel room is quite spacious, and the price was reasonable during the May Day holiday. The breakfast was plentiful, and parking was easy. The underground parking lot even has charging stations, which is a huge plus for electric vehicles. The only downside is that the mobile signal in the underground garage isn't very good! They offer free coffee from the coffee machine on the first floor, which I highly recommend!

After visiting several cities in Henan, this is the best value-for-money hotel. It's a listed 5-star property, and they proactively communicate with guests about their accommodation needs. The hotel has a restaurant that caters to all three meals, and the food is quite delicious. The rooms are spacious and come with an independent balcony, offering a beautiful night view.
