"This is one of the best hotels in the area. It's very close to the Grand Music Ceremony, Shaolin Temple, Songshan Scenic Area, and the city center – all just a ten-minute drive away. The room was quiet, and I could see Mount Songshan. The service was also good. I didn't take any hotel photos, so I'll just use three pictures from the Songshan Scenic Area to fill in. A couple of final thoughts: staying here was great, but exploring the area is quite a workout for your legs!"

"I'm a clean freak, so I stayed at the Hanting Hotel. Haha, Hanting's hygiene is definitely top-notch; it was spotless inside and out. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and in addition to the two bottles of drinking water in the room, they also gave me two complimentary bottles of hot water every day. Very convenient, it's a six-minute walk from the bus station, and taxis to several attractions are quick. Highly recommended! Unfortunately, I was too tired from hiking and forgot to take pictures when I got back. Oh, and the breakfast was very plentiful! Spicy soup, porridge, eggs, milk, cold dishes, hot dishes, fried eggs—lots of choices."

"This guesthouse is super close to Shaolin Temple, making it very convenient for getting around. The rooms are clean and tidy, and they even provided complimentary snacks and fruit. It's quiet at night, so we had a very comfortable stay. The two handsome guys and pretty girls at the front desk were incredibly enthusiastic and thoughtfully shared travel tips and strategies for the attractions, making us feel very welcome. They even drove us to and from the Shaolin Temple scenic area. The guesthouse offers free foot massages and foot soaks, and there's also a card room and a tea room. After a tiring hike, it was great to relax with a foot soak and some tea. There's a restaurant on the first floor, which was very convenient for meals. The landlady cooks herself, and her culinary skills are amazing! She even carefully asked about any dietary restrictions, which made me feel so warm inside. I never expected such high-end, personalized service, just like a private restaurant, where she cooked exactly the light-flavored dishes I wanted. Every staff member at the guesthouse was friendly and welcoming, making our stay incredibly comfortable."

"I brought my parents to Dengfeng for a weekend trip to Mount Song, and after comparing several options, we chose Zhongzhou Huading Hotel. As soon as we entered, we were captivated by the hotel's traditional Chinese architectural style. It's a garden-style hotel that combines a restaurant and accommodation. Upon entering the lobby, a concierge immediately helped us with our luggage and directed us to the front desk for check-in. Ms. Jiao Luyu at the front desk assisted us, providing smiling service throughout. She answered all our questions, helped coordinate our rooms, and processed everything quickly and with a very friendly attitude. After dinner at the restaurant, we returned to our room, which offered views of the Songshan mountain range. Enjoying tea on the balcony was incredibly relaxing. Because it is one floor, it is relatively airtight. Later I changed to a mountain view room. The situation has greatly improved. The room facilities are relatively old and the bed will creak, but overall it is very quiet. Good for sleeping. It's very close to the scenic spot, just across the road. There was nothing else in the room except two bottles of water. You can make phone calls if required. It is recommended to establish WeChat contact when staying at the hotel, which will be more convenient."

"Parking: There's a spacious parking lot right in the hotel courtyard, making it very easy to park. Service: The staff were very attentive. When we checked out, we were holding our down jackets, and they proactively offered us bags for them. The hotel also offers one complimentary pick-up or drop-off service per day. When I made my reservation, the staff member kindly suggested I could choose a further location for the service, which would be more cost-effective. Amenities: The room featured smart home technology, and it was a thoughtful touch that the lights automatically turned on as soon as you opened the door, even without inserting a key card. The toothbrushes were color-coded for easy identification, and there was plenty of storage space, which is great for families. The slippers were also of excellent quality. Breakfast: The breakfast spread was comprehensive, offering both common Chinese and Western options. The spicy soup (Hulatang) was delicious, and they even had savory pancakes (Jiangxiangbing) and steamed red dates, all of which tasted great. Our whole family of three gave it a unanimous thumbs up. Overall: It exceeded our expectations. If we have the chance to visit again, we would definitely choose to stay here."

"Great homestay with friendly and serviceminded hosts The Dengfeng Youlu Homestay was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and modern. Spacious and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also modern with nice amenities. The location is a little outside the city, but closer to the main attractions to Mount Song. So easy to reach with taxi. We found the location very good and convenient since we wanted to go to the scenic areas. We had breakfast included and found it very tasty and nice. It was plain and fresh and a nice selection of nutritious food before starting the day. The service was very good. The hosts didn’t speak much English, but we used translator apps so absolutely no problem for foreigners. The Dengfeng Youlu honestly has a nice compound with a Chinese garden. They also have a pool. It looks very comfy and cosy to sit and enjoy the garden, but we were there in beginning January so it was wintertime. The room we got had nice view of the garden and the mountains. We can for sure recommend this homestay and we think the reviews written so fare are very correct."

"Very familial guesthouse as close as it can be from Shaolin Monastery. The owners cook good food and can drive you everywhere for a price. The wife is a guide, so she's very resourceful about what to see and do in the area. The husband's brother is a Shaolin monk so you can speak about kung-fu with him. We had a little misunderstanding at the beginning as I had booked a room with a mountain view and the one prepared had no window to the outside but I was able to change rooms. With their help I was able to hike everywher on the beautiful mountains around as I was less interested in kung-fu than the scenery."

SSiyuehouWe arrived at Songshan in the evening and wanted to rest in the hotel before climbing Songshan at night. The boss came out to pick me up late at night and even took me to the foot of the mountain! ! ! After the climb in the morning, they took me back to the hotel, which was really awesome! ! The lady boss came into the hotel and said ”treat this place like home” and I burst into tears Another small tip is, remember to turn on the water heater before going ~ otherwise you may not be able to take a warm bath in time hahaha

GGuest UserA homestay that deserves 100 points! The room is clean and tidy, and the towels and other supplies are of good quality. It is much more comfortable than the three or four hundred hotels I booked before! The breakfast is also delicious! There are many kinds of food! Eat well! The most important thing is! The uncles and aunts are very enthusiastic, considerate, and friendly (a hundred words of praise omitted here). The next day, we went to climb Songshan Mountain, and the luggage was stored in the homestay. I came back at 6 o'clock after climbing. Because I had to go to Zhengzhou to take the high-speed rail at 9 o'clock, I wanted to rest in the lobby. The uncles and aunts were not impatient at all! Instead, they brought us water and bananas from time to time, and fried cakes for us a little later in case we were hungry! It's really so nice! With such a boss, it's hard not to be happy! GGuest UserVery friendly and helpful staff. One person spoke some English which made things a little easier for me. It's a quick taxi ride to Songshan. It's not really in a location to walk to places so I think it's best if you have your own car. The taxi driver and 'other' drivers do like to overcharge tourists. Getting off at the bus station and being harassed by drivers was unpleasant and gave Dengfeng a bad feeling. There is no train so unless you have a car, you'll also have this unpleasant experience. Dengfeng is quite nice just the welcome is unfortunate. The hotel staff were wonderful, and the room was spacious. I loved the little table by the window, very pleasant. The restaurant across from the parking lot has tasty food and very reasonable priced.

ЛЛариса Ш.I stayed for three days and was very happy with my choice – it's close, but very quiet. Easy to find on the map. The landmark is already there – the first photo of the house is in front of the exercise machines. I got a room with two beds. The room quickly warmed up to the right temperature, and the shower has a water heater. The hostess is very friendly and welcoming. If you're lucky, you'll catch a local folk group performing drums outside. For non-foreigners, you can purchase an annual Shaolin Temple pass. I attended the Shaolin monk performance on different days – different teachers, different groups, different experiences. When leaving the gym, don't miss the massage parlor (100 yuan). Then there's the monastery; there's a cable car. If you arrive early, you'll have time to climb up to the Dama Cave (under the golden dome). One day we hiked in the mountains above the hostel – it was so quiet. There's only one road, you can't get lost. I'm very grateful to the owner, I highly recommend her. In the photo, there's a landmark after the house.
