"During the Chinese New Year travel season, there were an incredible number of tourists from Henan. For the price, this hotel's environment was really good. The hotel is laid out like a small community with four buildings, all not far from the lobby. Eating options aren't super convenient, but Dengfeng isn't that big anyway. Overall, it's a great place."

"I'm a clean freak, so I stayed at the Hanting Hotel. Haha, Hanting's hygiene is definitely top-notch; it was spotless inside and out. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and in addition to the two bottles of drinking water in the room, they also gave me two complimentary bottles of hot water every day. Very convenient, it's a six-minute walk from the bus station, and taxis to several attractions are quick. Highly recommended! Unfortunately, I was too tired from hiking and forgot to take pictures when I got back. Oh, and the breakfast was very plentiful! Spicy soup, porridge, eggs, milk, cold dishes, hot dishes, fried eggs—lots of choices."

"Mo Shang Yi Su was the perfect base for our Shaolin Temple trip! The location was super convenient, making it easy to travel back and forth to the temple. After returning, we enjoyed tea and conversation in the tea room, and the herbal foot soak was amazing for relieving fatigue. Our child also got to practice calligraphy in the sunroom. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The laundry room and multi-functional fitness equipment were also a huge convenience. "I brought my parents to Dengfeng for a weekend trip to Mount Song, and after comparing several options, we chose Zhongzhou Huading Hotel. As soon as we entered, we were captivated by the hotel's traditional Chinese architectural style. It's a garden-style hotel that combines a restaurant and accommodation. Upon entering the lobby, a concierge immediately helped us with our luggage and directed us to the front desk for check-in. Ms. Jiao Luyu at the front desk assisted us, providing smiling service throughout. She answered all our questions, helped coordinate our rooms, and processed everything quickly and with a very friendly attitude. After dinner at the restaurant, we returned to our room, which offered views of the Songshan mountain range. Enjoying tea on the balcony was incredibly relaxing. "I stayed at this hotel for two nights and three days. Overall, the hotel was okay, but I felt the front desk service at some points was just so-so. Especially the receptionist on the first day – she was very arrogant. When I asked if parking was free or if I needed to scan a parking coupon, she just said, ”Scan it if you want.” Later, when I asked about the 200 yuan deposit (which is supposed to be waived by the hotel now), she just said, ”Different hotels have different policies.” Anyway, I didn't like it. The receptionists on the second and third days were quite nice. The young lady was very friendly and even gave me a small gift at the end. The cleaning lady was also very nice! I really liked her."

The Dengfeng Youlu Homestay was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended.
The rooms were very clean and modern. Spacious and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also modern with nice amenities.
The location is a little outside the city, but closer to the main attractions to Mount Song. So easy to reach with taxi. We found the location very good and convenient since we wanted to go to the scenic areas.
We had breakfast included and found it very tasty and nice. It was plain and fresh and a nice selection of nutritious food before starting the day.
The service was very good. The hosts didn’t speak much English, but we used translator apps so absolutely no problem for foreigners.
The Dengfeng Youlu honestly has a nice compound with a Chinese garden. They also have a pool. It looks very comfy and cosy to sit and enjoy the garden, but we were there in beginning January so it was wintertime. The room we got had nice view of the garden and the mountains.
We can for sure recommend this homestay and we think the reviews written so fare are very correct."

"Very familial guesthouse as close as it can be from Shaolin Monastery. The owners cook good food and can drive you everywhere for a price. The wife is a guide, so she's very resourceful about what to see and do in the area. The husband's brother is a Shaolin monk so you can speak about kung-fu with him. We had a little misunderstanding at the beginning as I had booked a room with a mountain view and the one prepared had no window to the outside but I was able to change rooms. With their help I was able to hike everywher on the beautiful mountains around as I was less interested in kung-fu than the scenery."

The room is floor heating and very warm. There are paper and pens to practice calligraphy in the room. There are two popular restaurants around. The front desk service is good, the room is clean and tidy, and the space feels a little cramped. Breakfast is full and parking is convenient.

GGuest UserAll in all we are quite satisfied with our short stay. We haven't used any of the hotel amenities like swimming pool or restaurant, so it's impossible to comment upon them. However, we'd like to say thank you to the stuff that is available any time. It turned out that one faucet didn't work properly and we only found it out at around 11 p.m. We called service number and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. One more pleasant thing is the pillow menu) The beds are generally very comfortable (unlike in many other Chinese hotels), but you still can choose an orthopedic pillow to your liking. That was very nice! Location is good (around 15 min to the mountain park entrance and to the bus station).
Unfortunately, we are not very happy with the view. (It was a mountain view room). Yes, we saw a pagoda and the mountains, but also the construction site right below our windows. Workes started their day at around 7 a.m., which was clearly heard in our room. In addition, there's some soft music constantly playing in the corridor. Definitely not for those who are sensitive to extra sounds.

GGuest UserIt doesn't seem feasible to reach the hotel by public transport, so having a car is necessary. Accessing the hotel entrance on foot involves climbing a flight of stairs from ground level. Once inside, guests must take the lift to reach the reception on level 6 for check-in. Luggage loading can be managed in carpark B1, and this requires the hotel to open the gate for vehicle access. In terms of service, the hotel staff were attentive and provided good service. They efficiently dried my son's and my sports shoes overnight, saving us from having to travel in wet footwear the next day. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was delivered to our room. We were able to enjoy it on our small balcony, which was a delightful touch. The breakfast was both healthy and delicious.

GGuest UserA homestay that deserves 100 points! The room is clean and tidy, and the towels and other supplies are of good quality. It is much more comfortable than the three or four hundred hotels I booked before! The breakfast is also delicious! There are many kinds of food! Eat well! The most important thing is! The uncles and aunts are very enthusiastic, considerate, and friendly (a hundred words of praise omitted here). The next day, we went to climb Songshan Mountain, and the luggage was stored in the homestay. I came back at 6 o'clock after climbing. Because I had to go to Zhengzhou to take the high-speed rail at 9 o'clock, I wanted to rest in the lobby. The uncles and aunts were not impatient at all! Instead, they brought us water and bananas from time to time, and fried cakes for us a little later in case we were hungry! It's really so nice! With such a boss, it's hard not to be happy! Highly recommended! I will definitely stay here when I come to play in the future! I hope the uncles and aunts have a prosperous business! Good health!

GGuest UserVery friendly and helpful staff. One person spoke some English which made things a little easier for me. It's a quick taxi ride to Songshan. It's not really in a location to walk to places so I think it's best if you have your own car. The taxi driver and 'other' drivers do like to overcharge tourists. Getting off at the bus station and being harassed by drivers was unpleasant and gave Dengfeng a bad feeling. There is no train so unless you have a car, you'll also have this unpleasant experience. Dengfeng is quite nice just the welcome is unfortunate. The hotel staff were wonderful, and the room was spacious. I loved the little table by the window, very pleasant. The restaurant across from the parking lot has tasty food and very reasonable priced.
