"Excellent stay in Dengfeng, best price to value ratio. The room was clvery cosy, and the location is pretty good being close to Zhongyue temple and a short taxi ride away to trails into Mt. Song. One small remark was that the room had smokey air, likely from the previous guest(s). Hence I had to air it out but the air quality still didn't fully get optimal. Other than that; a perfect stay!"

"The location is amazing and up until the last few hours we were very satisfied with our stay. They gave a free upgrade to their newly refurbished 4th floor and that room really was awesome. We were not aware they cooked dinner well so we are out but should have dined at the Homestay. Breakfast was very simple but satisfying. They provide a transfer to Shaolin in a super nice car and plenty of free water to take with you during the day. So far so good. Now perhaps we are lost in translation but we indicated having a ride to our next stop charging between 260 and 380 through the didi app. Waaayyyy to expensive they said and offered to call a cab. The cab however was 445, a much higher rate. All rates included the toll. We asked about the type of car and were shown a luxury car. That car and that price were similar to didi premier so we said okay. Then they said it would take half an hour. We didn’t want that so said we would just go for the didi. They then said the taxi would be there faster. As you may guess; it was not. We ended up waiting well over half an hour and the taxi was a regular taxi. They ride was good, driver friendly etc but we felt a bit off about the way this went down. Again: could be lost in translation here so if you just arrange your own ride you will have an awesome stay with them. Ask for the nice room on floor 4! Picture is the view from our room."

"I'm a clean freak, so I stayed at the Hanting Hotel. Haha, Hanting's hygiene is definitely top-notch; it was spotless inside and out. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and in addition to the two bottles of drinking water in the room, they also gave me two complimentary bottles of hot water every day. Very convenient, it's a six-minute walk from the bus station, and taxis to several attractions are quick. Highly recommended! Unfortunately, I was too tired from hiking and forgot to take pictures when I got back. Oh, and the breakfast was very plentiful! Spicy soup, porridge, eggs, milk, cold dishes, hot dishes, fried eggs—lots of choices."

"I had an incredibly enjoyable time here. The boss and his family are adorable and very available. The rooms are clean and quiet. The house is well located next to the central street and shops. It’s very easy to get to places of interest around and find a taxi. The boss knows his region very well and he loves history. I had a fabulous stay. cherry on the cake, his brother-in-law makes burgers and a delicious coffee two minutes away."

"Very familial guesthouse as close as it can be from Shaolin Monastery. The owners cook good food and can drive you everywhere for a price. The wife is a guide, so she's very resourceful about what to see and do in the area. The husband's brother is a Shaolin monk so you can speak about kung-fu with him. We had a little misunderstanding at the beginning as I had booked a room with a mountain view and the one prepared had no window to the outside but I was able to change rooms. With their help I was able to hike everywher on the beautiful mountains around as I was less interested in kung-fu than the scenery."

"The guesthouse is newly opened and very convenient for visiting tourist attractions. The owner is very welcoming, and the owner's wife's cooking skills are superb; the portions are incredibly generous, even by Northern standards—we couldn't possibly finish the small potatoes from the South. The only downside is the inconsistent water temperature; it was sometimes hot and sometimes cold while showering, which needs improvement."

"I came to Songshan from Taiwan for tourism. The guesthouse owner was very welcoming. Although climbing Shaoshi Mountain and Taishi Mountain was very tiring, the guesthouse's location was excellent, right next to the entrance of Taishi Mountain, so I could start climbing early in the morning. The next day, I took a taxi to Shaolin Temple to climb Shaoshi Mountain, which was very convenient, and I was also able to get a very good rest at the guesthouse."

"The room is very clean, but the shower head doesn't work and there's no hot water. The boss and the boss lady are super welcoming. Dengfeng is great and the people I met are all very nice. I'll stay here again next time I come~"

"The room is large and the sanitation is good. When I came to the store, I saw the new sheets and quilts of the cleaning aunt. The room is with windows and can see the beautiful view of Lushan. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, clean and tidy, and hot water is sufficient. great! Parking at the entrance of the hotel is convenient, the location is very close to the scenic spot, it takes ten minutes to go to Shaolin Temple, it is very convenient, a hotel with high cost performance, it is very good at the same price, five-star recommendation!"

"The boss warmly invited us to drink tea and gave us travel suggestions. The lady boss is kind-hearted and super nice. The children like her very much. The overall decoration style is Chinese style, very stylish. The room is clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. If you have friends to visit, I will definitely recommend this place."
