"The three of us booked a triple room. Unexpectedly, it was a large suite. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the temperature was just right. It rained when we climbed Songshan Mountain that day, and my clothes were soaked when we got back. The hotel has a drum washing machine and a garment steamer. It was really thoughtful. The staff at the front desk were very nice and made my stay very comfortable."

"The staff were very helpful and patient given my limited ability to speak Chinese. The room was old and fairly worn but the sheets and towels were clean, airconditioning worked and no bad smell in the room. I originally booked 3 nights but extended my stay for another 3, so overall it was good value for money, given the low price."

"Very familial guesthouse as close as it can be from Shaolin Monastery. The owners cook good food and can drive you everywhere for a price. The wife is a guide, so she's very resourceful about what to see and do in the area. The husband's brother is a Shaolin monk so you can speak about kung-fu with him. We had a little misunderstanding at the beginning as I had booked a room with a mountain view and the one prepared had no window to the outside but I was able to change rooms. With their help I was able to hike everywher on the beautiful mountains around as I was less interested in kung-fu than the scenery."

Everything in the large room looked very new, are maintained in an excellent condition, the bathroom is huge.
There is a shopping center nearby, with good restaurants and a supermarket inside.
The owner of the homestay is very friendly and helpful, willing to provide information and suggestions on tours and transportations.

"I came to Songshan from Taiwan for tourism. The guesthouse owner was very welcoming. Although climbing Shaoshi Mountain and Taishi Mountain was very tiring, the guesthouse's location was excellent, right next to the entrance of Taishi Mountain, so I could start climbing early in the morning. The next day, I took a taxi to Shaolin Temple to climb Shaoshi Mountain, which was very convenient, and I was also able to get a very good rest at the guesthouse."

"I had an incredibly enjoyable time here. The boss and his family are adorable and very available. The rooms are clean and quiet. The house is well located next to the central street and shops. It’s very easy to get to places of interest around and find a taxi. The boss knows his region very well and he loves history. I had a fabulous stay. cherry on the cake, his brother-in-law makes burgers and a delicious coffee two minutes away."

"The hotels and B&Bs are very good, with a variety of breakfasts, two bathrooms, one living room, one bedroom, two projectors, two Xiaodu, and a bathtub and smart toilet, for just over a hundred yuan! I wonder if I'll lose money 😅. I've stayed here many times and I'm very satisfied and a little embarrassed. Last time, my dog broke the art light wire that the store had matched. This time, it almost broke again, leaving a few tooth marks. I'm really sorry. In summary, the store's room number and service are great, thumbs up"

GGuest UserThe location of the homestay is very close to Zhongyue Lushan, not far from the Shaolin Temple transfer center, the sanitation is excellent, parking is available at the door, there are small supermarkets around it is more convenient, the price is quite cost-effective, the proprietress service is also good, and I will choose to stay at her house when I go to Shaolin Temple.

GGuest UserThe location is amazing and up until the last few hours we were very satisfied with our stay. They gave a free upgrade to their newly refurbished 4th floor and that room really was awesome. We were not aware they cooked dinner well so we are out but should have dined at the Homestay. Breakfast was very simple but satisfying. They provide a transfer to Shaolin in a super nice car and plenty of free water to take with you during the day. So far so good. Now perhaps we are lost in translation but we indicated having a ride to our next stop charging between 260 and 380 through the didi app. Waaayyyy to expensive they said and offered to call a cab. The cab however was 445, a much higher rate. All rates included the toll. We asked about the type of car and were shown a luxury car. That car and that price were similar to didi premier so we said okay. Then they said it would take half an hour. We didn’t want that so said we would just go for the didi. They then said the taxi would be there faster. As you may guess; it was not. We ended up waiting well over half an hour and the taxi was a regular taxi. They ride was good, driver friendly etc but we felt a bit off about the way this went down. Again: could be lost in translation here so if you just arrange your own ride you will have an awesome stay with them. Ask for the nice room on floor 4! Picture is the view from our room.

LLuguodeyibanshiminIn order to climb the hotel set up in Lushan, it is closer to the scenic spot than expected. Taishi Mountain is a 5-minute walk to the ticket gate. Shaoshishan takes 10 minutes to take a taxi from the exit of Shaolin Temple. There are many restaurants and supermarkets around. Although I was a bit ugly, the restaurant meals were super cheap and big bowls, and the taste was very good. The front desk lady was very warm and caring. The room was very clean and tidy. There were members on the TV. All movies could be watched. I was afraid that I was too tired to climb the mountain for two days and stayed for a day. I had a very comfortable rest here. I just came here to feel like I was living in paradise after being cheated by the hotel in Zhengzhou next door. 🥲

JJillxu6666The village is very quiet at night. It’s good to go to the Shaolin Temple early in the morning after a good night’s sleep. There aren’t many people there. The boss is very enthusiastic. The B&B is only more than 800 meters away from the entrance of the scenic spot, so I must pick him up. After we had fun the next day, we went to Zhengzhou, and the boss even rode a small electric donkey to deliver our luggage to us.

The proprietress changed three rooms in a row on the first floor and finally found a room with normal hot water. The door lock of the first room was broken and could not be locked. You can’t watch the TV in the room. To be honest, the price of the homestay is not very high, but the basic door lock, hot water and TV are seriously unsatisfactory. The proprietress doesn't know about these issues. I think it is very likely that the occupancy rate of the rooms is relatively low, and few people live there. I was deceived by the reviews. I looked at the rating of 5 points, and now I look at it because there are only two reviews. I suggest that you check whether there are many reviews when you book in the future. If there are only one or two reviews with high scores, it may not be really high.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, not far from the entrance of Shaolin Temple. It's about the same standard as a homestay. The utensils are all disposable and very simple. I want to complain about the water heater, which is a very small electric water heater. It takes half of the hot water to wash your face with hot water, and you have to wait for it to keep boiling. The shower head sprays very small and fine water. I dare not wash my hair for fear that it will not wet my hair.

GGuest UserIf you want to come to Songshan during the holidays, I highly recommend staying near here. The entrance here will be closed during holidays. You need to park in the unified parking lot and then spend 30 per person to take a bus to the entrance. If you live here, you can drive in and park right in front of the hotel. The hotel is just like an ordinary farmhouse. The rooms are not big and the facilities are relatively simple. There is no breakfast, but it is close to the scenic spot. Entering the scenic spot early in the morning, there were not many people, and there were also few people going up the mountain. Because the ropeway opens at nearly eight o'clock, you can actually go to the entrance of the Shaolin Temple with a battery car. The Shaolin Temple has not opened yet, but you can take photos with fewer people. Then, it is only a few hundred meters to Tallinn. There is no one there, and then you can go up the ropeway up the mountain. . The walking path is actually not very far going inward, but the battery car goes a bit around the outside. If you have time, you can ride on both ropeways and see them both.
