"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a solo traveller staying for one night, I was genuinely impressed with Portare Home in Mae Kampong. It strikes a perfect balance between feeling homely and offering all the amenities you’d expect from a high-quality stay, all set within a beautiful jungle environment. Arriving by car was straightforward, and one of the first things that stood out was the charming luggage pulley system that carries your bags up to the main house. It’s a small touch, but really memorable and adds to the character of the place. I was greeted by several friendly staff members, and check-in was quick and easy. The design and architecture of the property are what initially drew me in, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. I was shown to my room straight away and couldn’t have been happier. The bed was very comfortable, and the standout feature is the private balcony, which looks directly out into the surrounding jungle. It’s the kind of place you can sit for hours, just listening to nature. The room itself is thoughtfully equipped, with bathrobes, towels, a hairdryer, and a full set of bathroom amenities. There’s also a fridge stocked with cold bottled water. The bathroom was spacious, with a large shower and a beautiful freestanding bath positioned to take in the jungle views. The atmosphere really comes into its own in the evening, when the property is softly lit, creating a calm and relaxing setting. Waking up early to watch the sunrise from the balcony was a highlight. The light filtering through the trees and the sounds of the forest make it feel very special. In the morning, I was served a traditional Thai breakfast, with the option of fresh drip coffee and orange juice, which was a great start to the day. The location is also ideal, around a 10 to 15 minute walk from the main Mae Kampong village, so you’re close enough to explore while still enjoying peace and quiet. Overall, this was a really relaxing and restorative stay. I’m very glad I chose Portare Home and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mae Kampong."

"I was really impressed with this charming and cozy accommodation. The atmosphere was great, breakfast was provided, and everything was clean. The owner took good care of us. It's not far to walk to explore Mae Kampong village, and there's a shuttle service available for a reasonable price. If you're not sure what to eat at night, they also offer a *moo kata* (Thai BBQ) set that you can order, which is very convenient. While sleeping, I could hear the gentle sound of the waterfall, and the weather was pleasantly cool. It truly felt like a relaxing break immersed in nature. The only minor point is that because it's a small place, the bathroom in the room was a bit narrow. Overall, I'd say it's excellent. If you love staying close to nature, I highly recommend this place."

"The environment is beautiful, and it's so relaxing to just stay in the villa all day after breakfast! When you get hungry at lunchtime, their menu offers a wide variety of choices that are both affordable and delicious 😋. It was so comfortable that I completely forgot what it's like to be drunk. If I have the chance to visit again, this will definitely be one of my top choices, no doubt about it 😉"

"A lovely little house near Mae Kampong village. I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a pleasant stay. The room had a loft, with a double bed on each floor. The bathroom with a shower is inside the room. Everything was clean, and the sisters who own this place are very sweet. I slept wonderfully – to the sound of running water (the house is by a mountain stream) in the fresh air. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the high humidity, there were no mosquitoes, and I could sleep with the windows wide open at night. It was an indescribable pleasure! The breakfast was standard – toast, cereal, coffee, fruit. There was also a hot dish – rice soup. The only minor drawback was that the bedding on the second floor smelled of tobacco. As a non-smoker, it was unpleasant, and I chose not to sleep there."

"The accommodation is beautiful and the atmosphere is good. However, when comparing the price with the value for money, it is quite expensive. Drinks such as plain water should be more. They give too little water. If you ask for more, you have to pay. But overall, it is not bad. However, it is not worth it when compared to the price of the room and the convenience. The hot water heater is not warm because the weather is cold, but the water is not hot at all."

"Great value for a vacation. The accommodation is beautiful, the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The decor is well-done and the layout is good. For the price, it's very reasonable. The shabu-shabu portion was generous, but the variety of ingredients was limited, mainly focusing on meat. However, the meat tasted good, which is fine for the price. All the facilities are well-thought-out and sufficient for use and relaxation. The pillows and mattress are comfortable. Areas for improvement: There's no phone in the room. In case of an emergency, illness, or needing to contact someone for help, especially for hospital transfers, insect bites with allergic reactions, or someone losing consciousness, it would be difficult to call for assistance. The outdoor slippers are very slippery and unsuitable for outdoor use. Upon entering the room, the first impression was that the floor was damp. It should be dried before guests check in. There were many mosquitoes. None of the doors have screens, and the mosquito swatter was out of battery with no charging cable. We had to unplug the Famicom game console to charge it. Overall, I was impressed with the details and the experience of staying here. I hope these points will be considered for improvement, and I would recommend others to stay here again."
