"The hotel's super close to Mae Kampong village, right on the road up. It's only a 3-minute drive to the village, or a 20-minute walk if you're up for it. My first impression was just, wow! There's a stream running through the hotel, huge green trees overhead, and the decorations are so sweet and comfy, with cute little toys and figures, plus fun small games. The hotel is seriously beautifully decorated and so cozy. The staff are super welcoming, sweet, and friendly. The service is top-notch. They don't speak English, but communication is perfect thanks to Google Translate these days. The rooms are so cozy and clean with tons of amenities. The family game console was my favorite part of the room! They even have a hair straightener. The bathtub, shower, and toilets are clean with Japanese-style controls. What a surprise! Be carful when you enter the hotel since you will be greeted by a big boy(dog). He's super cute but scared me a little since he's a big boy. But he is super obedient so you don't have to worry. I hope we can get more friendly with him next time we visit. The food was amazing too. Beer and drinks are available all night, which is super convenient. I felt totally recharged and ready to work again on Monday after a cozy weekend here. Hopefully, we'll visit again!"

"I had an absolutely wonderful stay here in Mae Kampong. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, peaceful, and surrounded by lush greenery, with a lovely stream running right beside the property. The cool, fresh air and beautiful natural setting made my stay incredibly relaxing. The place was also fully equipped with everything I needed. What made this experience truly unforgettable was the host. They were incredibly kind, warm, friendly, and attentive, and took better care of me than any host I have ever met. The host even made pizza for dinner—and it was absolutely amazing! Honestly, it was the most delicious pizza I have ever had in my life. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mae Kampong. I would definitely love to stay here again!"

 We are sorry that we couldn't get an elephant morning wake up call. I feel sad for the few people that complain and make life difficult for others and also for the elephants. I think the elephant enjoyed waking up humans. We were delighted to see a pair of Northern Thailand reindeer, which was an unexpected treat.
 We are already looking forward to returning and were genuinely sad to leave. Overall, this was an outstanding experience, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others seeking a unique and memorable stay.

"A lovely little house near Mae Kampong village. I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a pleasant stay. The room had a loft, with a double bed on each floor. The bathroom with a shower is inside the room. Everything was clean, and the sisters who own this place are very sweet. I slept wonderfully – to the sound of running water (the house is by a mountain stream) in the fresh air. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the high humidity, there were no mosquitoes, and I could sleep with the windows wide open at night. It was an indescribable pleasure! The breakfast was standard – toast, cereal, coffee, fruit. There was also a hot dish – rice soup. The only minor drawback was that the bedding on the second floor smelled of tobacco. As a non-smoker, it was unpleasant, and I chose not to sleep there."

Arriving by car was straightforward, and one of the first things that stood out was the charming luggage pulley system that carries your bags up to the main house. It’s a small touch, but really memorable and adds to the character of the place. I was greeted by several friendly staff members, and check-in was quick and easy. The design and architecture of the property are what initially drew me in, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. I was shown to my room straight away and couldn’t have been happier. The bed was very comfortable, and the standout feature is the private balcony, which looks directly out into the surrounding jungle. It’s the kind of place you can sit for hours, just listening to nature. The room itself is thoughtfully equipped, with bathrobes, towels, a hairdryer, and a full set of bathroom amenities. There’s also a fridge stocked with cold bottled water. The bathroom was spacious, with a large shower and a beautiful freestanding bath positioned to take in the jungle views. The atmosphere really comes into its own in the evening, when the property is softly lit, creating a calm and relaxing setting. Waking up early to watch the sunrise from the balcony was a highlight. The light filtering through the trees and the sounds of the forest make it feel very special. In the morning, I was served a traditional Thai breakfast, with the option of fresh drip coffee and orange juice, which was a great start to the day. The location is also ideal, around a 10 to 15 minute walk from the main Mae Kampong village, so you’re close enough to explore while still enjoying peace and quiet. "Nice, rustic little homestay right in the heart of the walking street. Room was right along a beautiful little creek with a spacious balcony area and well-furnished. The main things that could be improved is to have a ledge in the shower for putting toiletries (there was none and the toilet bowl cistern was the only place to put stuff), and have more table space in the room itself to put stuff (there was plenty in the balcony, but very little in the room itself). Parking is also limited as they share the space with another homestay and you can only park on their half."

A hidden little retreat in the middle of nature. Mii Paa Aii is the kind of place that makes you slow down the moment you arrive. Tucked away among lush green forests, the setting is incredibly peaceful — no busy streets, no city noise, just trees, fresh air and the sounds of nature around you. The wooden cabin has so much character. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by warm timber, traditional details and large windows that frame the forest like a living painting. Sitting by the window with a cup of coffee, looking out at layers upon layers of green, is honestly one of the highlights of the stay. I especially loved the little details — the bamboo blinds, wooden bathtub, rustic furnishings and the small balcony overlooking the jungle. It feels beautifully simple and authentic rather than overly polished or commercial. But the real attraction is the location. You wake up surrounded by greenery, with the forest practically at your doorstep. It feels secluded and almost like being in your own little world. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect, breathe, slow down and experience the quieter side of Thailand, Mii Paa Aii is absolutely worth staying at. Come for the cabin, stay for the view, and leave wishing you had booked a few more nights.

We booked this hostel for just 1 night, but it turned out to be such a beautiful night! My good first impression started even before I arrived. I made my booking 3 months in advance, and I messaged the hostel through Facebook to reconfirm my reservation. The admin was very nice and helpful. He helped me check my booking and even recommended and helped me choose a quieter room. On the check-in day, I arrived quite early, around 10–11 AM (I’m not exactly sure because my van schedule had been changed). I just came to check in and wanted to leave my luggage there first, then walk around the area because I knew the normal check-in time. But then something I didn’t expect happened! They allowed me to check in and get my room early. Such a kind thing and I felt so lucky! 🥹❤️ I had been traveling all night by train and had just arrived in Chiang Mai that morning before coming here, so I was really tired. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were so soft that I felt like I was lying on a feather! 🤣☁️ They also have free Wi-Fi, which was a plus! I also ordered Shabu for dinner. It was 399 THB, including pork and vegetables, and it was VERY delicious! Imagine the weather getting cool while you’re enjoying a warm bowl of soup… OMG, it was honestly one of the best vibes I’ve ever experienced. 🥹🍲 The hostel also provides transportation services if you need to go somewhere nearby, which is very convenient. The only sad thing is that I missed breakfast because my alarm didn’t wake me up. 😂 This hostel is very quiet and private, and there were so many things that impressed me during my stay. I honestly can’t write everything here! If you’re planning to visit Mae Kampong, please keep Ing Doi Mae Kampong as one of your options. I really recommend staying here! 💚🌿

The glamping itself is a sanctuary designed to coexist harmoniously with the natural world. Tucked away from the bustle of daily life, the environment is lush and vibrant. Waking up to the sound of rustling leaves and exotic birdsong was a refreshing change from the usual city noise.  From the moment I arrived, the hotel staff set the tone for the entire experience. Celebrated our first wedding anniversary here💚 Everything was magical! Even a pouring rain didn’t ruin the experience. The food was amazing, especially Khao Tom for breakfast. The staff was absolutely polite and welcoming. The hotel is located a little too far from the Mae Kampong village but we managed to walk up there somehow 🙃 Do not recommend walking there though! The hotel has a transfer service so you might want to use that instead. And they also provide an affordable transfer back to Chiang Mai! Overall it was a perfect stay and I would love to go there someday again.

Everything is good except cleanliness. The floor in the room was sticky, there was a lot of dust under the bed, bed linens had a blood spots (thanks it was changed by our request). The balcony floor and cushions were too dusty, we didn't even sit on them. The resort is good and maybe it was not the season, but I think the staff should focus on cleaning first, that's main priority goal for every resort.
