"All the staff were great, from reception to maintenance. It was quiet and peaceful, and well-organized. They gave good recommendations for places to visit. The only downside was the number of insects, but it's understandable during the rainy season. Breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again."

"Great value for a vacation. The accommodation is beautiful, the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The decor is well-done and the layout is good. For the price, it's very reasonable. The shabu-shabu portion was generous, but the variety of ingredients was limited, mainly focusing on meat. However, the meat tasted good, which is fine for the price. All the facilities are well-thought-out and sufficient for use and relaxation. The pillows and mattress are comfortable. Areas for improvement: There's no phone in the room. In case of an emergency, illness, or needing to contact someone for help, especially for hospital transfers, insect bites with allergic reactions, or someone losing consciousness, it would be difficult to call for assistance. The outdoor slippers are very slippery and unsuitable for outdoor use. Upon entering the room, the first impression was that the floor was damp. It should be dried before guests check in. There were many mosquitoes. None of the doors have screens, and the mosquito swatter was out of battery with no charging cable. We had to unplug the Famicom game console to charge it. Overall, I was impressed with the details and the experience of staying here. I hope these points will be considered for improvement, and I would recommend others to stay here again."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a solo traveller staying for one night, I was genuinely impressed with Portare Home in Mae Kampong. It strikes a perfect balance between feeling homely and offering all the amenities you’d expect from a high-quality stay, all set within a beautiful jungle environment. Arriving by car was straightforward, and one of the first things that stood out was the charming luggage pulley system that carries your bags up to the main house. It’s a small touch, but really memorable and adds to the character of the place. I was greeted by several friendly staff members, and check-in was quick and easy. The design and architecture of the property are what initially drew me in, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. I was shown to my room straight away and couldn’t have been happier. The bed was very comfortable, and the standout feature is the private balcony, which looks directly out into the surrounding jungle. It’s the kind of place you can sit for hours, just listening to nature. The room itself is thoughtfully equipped, with bathrobes, towels, a hairdryer, and a full set of bathroom amenities. There’s also a fridge stocked with cold bottled water. The bathroom was spacious, with a large shower and a beautiful freestanding bath positioned to take in the jungle views. The atmosphere really comes into its own in the evening, when the property is softly lit, creating a calm and relaxing setting. Waking up early to watch the sunrise from the balcony was a highlight. The light filtering through the trees and the sounds of the forest make it feel very special. In the morning, I was served a traditional Thai breakfast, with the option of fresh drip coffee and orange juice, which was a great start to the day. The location is also ideal, around a 10 to 15 minute walk from the main Mae Kampong village, so you’re close enough to explore while still enjoying peace and quiet. Overall, this was a really relaxing and restorative stay. I’m very glad I chose Portare Home and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mae Kampong."

Домик был чистым, но минус ставлю за террасу, которая не убиралась. Халаты и полотенца меняли каждый день. Воду приносили каждый день. Единственное, если вы едите с детьми, то хорошо подумайте. Им там будет скучно. Кроме источников на территории отеля ничего нет. Завтраки подавали каждый день одинаковые, но вкусные. Так как хозяйка вегетарианка, мясных блюд в меню нет."

"Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Only the red network (presumably a mobile carrier) has phone signal. The rooms aren't very soundproof, but the atmosphere is great. The route to the accommodation is very secluded, but I loved it."

It’s located just 5 km from the main hub, which gave us the absolute best of both worlds: total peace and tranquility at night, while still being a quick and easy drive to all the main attractions, restaurants, and sights during the day. What truly set this place apart, though, was the host. The owner is incredibly warm, helpful, and welcoming—especially if you're traveling with furry friends! It’s rare to find places that are so genuinely pet-friendly, and our pet was made to feel just as welcome as we were. Overall, it’s fantastic value for money. Spotless, peaceful, and hosted by someone who truly cares about their guests. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip! Highly recommended!"

"An amazing place up in the mountain, peaceful and tranquil, great for an escape. It's located lower down than the main village street and only takes a few minutes if walking. However, the owner was incredible, spoke fluent English and on my arrival took me to all the noteworthy places by vehicle which are within 1km. He always offered to take me somewhere if I was going out. The room was very spacious, clean and decorated fitting in with the Japanese theme, the view was good and there's also a balcony accessed from the outside. Bath was good to soak after exploring during the day. The service and food are great, hotpot was delicious, breakfast and coffee perfect. Well worth a visit, highly recommend!!! 💯🔥"

"We just got back from a family trip after a long time. The beautiful night view and nature, exactly as pictured, along with the bonfire service made possible by the staff, were the three main positives. However, aside from these, there were many drawbacks. First off, all the sofas and furniture were covered in hair and dust, just like in the photos. Although it was a two-story villa, having the refrigerator only on the second floor was very inconvenient. Also, there was only one small trash can in the bathroom, which was genuinely annoying. Since we drove ourselves, we didn't experience any issues with transportation. The scenery, both day and night, was different yet beautiful, like being in a forest."

"With the help of the host from this glamping site, we rented a sedan from them to drive us from Chiang Mai airport to this location. It was very remote, and we are happy the host has such service. We are fully aware of the location, it is also the reason we came here to rest after 7 days of Bangkok trip. We were also very surprised the cleanliness of the site, there is not mosquitos or any other small insects around the camp site, which we were well prepared for that but we are very happy with the environment without worrying this. They must have done a lot of control to come to this state. Thank you! Service is very good, they have golf car to drive us to the restaurant where we can have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dinner they will offer pizza or mookata, guess everyone will order this. We stayed at the Kissing star for 2 nights, first night we bought street food from MaeKampong for our dinner, second night we had Mookata, frankly speaking their food is not expensive too, we can hardly finish their whole set for 2 persons. As for their facilities, I think the pictures are self explained. they have marshall soundbar, enabled Netflix, youtube etc, so that one can really rest in the room, listening to the nature and watching tv. Their host can be communicated via whatsapp too, so just tell them anything you need, they will try to help. I love their hospitality even in such remote area but still trying to offer us the best!!!"
