"Awesome stay."
Himdoihome Maekampong
"Such a charming place! It's super clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff are incredibly nice and friendly. Falling asleep to the sound of flowing water was so relaxing and really recharged my batteries."
Portare.home Mae Kampong
"I would highly recommend Portare.home if you are looking for a relaxing and tranquil getaway! The rooms are fabulous and the service is impeccable - the staff really take care of you. 10/10 (the friendly cats were also a plus!) Note that you can’t actually walk to the village but the staff will happily organise local transport ($30 baht each way)."
The River Maekampong Chiang Mai
"A very nice property. Wanting to ensure my comfort, the owner offered to upgrade my reservation at no extra charge due to an event taking place nearby. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. I was surprised by the breakfast waiting on my terrace, along with my own coffee. I highly recommend it."
Baanmaipai Tiamta Maekampong
"Good location that is near to the village. Bed is comfortable. But the curtains were not able to fully block the sunlight. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff"
Taryn Tara Cafe and Stay
"Highly not recommended! I came across this B&B online by accident, and even made a separate itinerary to Mae Ang for it. I stayed there for three days and two nights. It was really a waste of money... ① The appearance is indeed quite good, but it is different from the domestic B&Bs. Similarly, the most unacceptable thing is the lack of details. The overall look is barely enough. Looking carefully at the decoration details will make the obsessive-compulsive disorder collapse. ②The worst thing is the location. I admit that the waterfall looks beautiful, but it is really noisy. . . . The actual measured noise level is over 60 decibels, and the doors and windows are all ordinary doors and windows rather than specially soundproof doors and windows. ③The service is difficult to evaluate. The clerk is indeed very polite, but it is only polite and cannot solve any real problems. There has been no solution after repeated feedback on the noise situation. Even on the second night of my stay, the staff hid somewhere else to rest because it was too noisy. . . (It rained all day so the waterfall flow was larger on the second night.) I only slept for two or three hours on the first night because of the noise. I negotiated with the store clerk whether I could cancel the second night's stay. The store clerk didn't even contact the boss. When I applied, I was rejected “very politely” without any empathy. ④The room is near water, so there are a lot of mosquitoes. However, the store does not provide electric mosquito coils or other equipment. It only provides mosquito repellent lotion and electric mosquito swatters, which is better than nothing. ⑤The room facilities do not match the room price of 5,000 baht per night. Only the smart TV is really useful. The linen is soft but has no texture, and the thread count is not high. The mattress and pillows were really uncomfortable. The most uncomfortable thing is the quilt: it is completely airtight and does not feel like cotton or even good quality fiber. ⑥ The square setting is unreasonable. There are a total of four rooms in the hotel, two of which together form a two-bedroom and one-living suite (Room 1 and Room 2), the other two are a "deluxe king room with balcony" (Room 3), and the other two are "Deluxe King Room with Balcony" (Room 3). One room was the "River View Deluxe King Room" (Room 4). The price of Room 3 was higher than that of Room 4, so I naturally booked Room 3. It turned out that Room 3 was on the lowest floor, not far away. The water surface is only a few meters, the noise is beyond human endurance, and the nominal 40 square meters is definitely not enough (even if the balcony is 15 square meters, it is not enough). We had questions about the noise on the first night of our stay. The clerk showed us room 1 and said that we could upgrade for an additional fee (1,000 baht), but only for one night because suites 1 and 2 were reserved for the second night. On the second night, the clerk offered to adjust the room to room four without extra charge. But the online sales price shows that room No. 4 is already 1,000 baht cheaper than room No. 3. In other words, the total price of my two-night room No. 3 was the same as the one-night room No. 1 and the one-night No. 4 room, but according to the clerk's logic, I should add 1,000 baht. I don't understand it but I respect it. ⑦The food and beverages are relatively dull. As a coffee shop accommodation, breakfast does not come with coffee by default. Only when I checked in in the afternoon, I was given a welcome drink of coffee. The breakfast drink for two people only had half a cup of orange juice. => In short, it’s very misleading and I sincerely advise you to be careful. If you really like this style, just go and have a cup of coffee. Their coffee is also relatively ordinary, but it is 50% more expensive than the main city of Chiang Mai. It may be due to the environment."
Tharnthong Lodge
"GORGEOUS!!!! Mountain lodging in a natural, calm environment. Private cabins, gorgeous setting. Great food and wonderful staff. Such a respite from the bustle of Bangkok. Must stay in Northern Thailand!!!"
La Lanna Resort
"I know there is a distance between our room and lobby but it takes sometime even small emergency case to help us."
