"This hotel is of old aristocratic style, located right by Lake Lugano. Its location is impeccable, and its biggest advantage lies in its design. The furnishings, gardens, and rooms are all magnificent, showing the Europeans' particularity. The only drawback is that the dining is rather average."

"Review Mixed feelings I stayed on a weekend solo trip whilst working elsewhere in Switzerland, and have mixed feelings about this hotel. I booked this on the basis of the rave reviews on here, which I don’t really now understand - it’s fine but not great in my view. What’s good: - Beautiful public areas in the main building - Spa, pool & sun terrace have great furnishings, very comfortable and a stunning view of the lake - Breakfast buffet is excellent quality & included in room rate. Probably the nicest croissant ever. The staff kindly opened the terrace for me (it was 18 degrees & very sunny) - Some of the staff were kind and helpful, particularly at the reception & the spa desk - Very comfortable beds, lovely linen & towels - good night’s sleep! - Nice location, a little out of the main town (15 mins walk around the lake) so peaceful & quiet - Free shuttle to Lugano train station is a nice extra, although the public bus is very convenient Less good - My room was in an ugly 1970s building with a view of the carpark. I didn’t expect a lake view (it was an additional 200 CHF per night) but this was not exactly a “garden view” as described - The room & bathroom was cluttered with random stuff- promotional booklets, mini bar snacks, bottles of toiletries - there was no space to stand even a wash bag in the bathroom. There were 4 bottles of products balanced on the edge of the bath. Please wall mount the bottles & tidy up! - I asked to borrow an iron - the one they bought had a European plug & all the in-room plugs are Swiss, so it was unusable. I don’t expect everyone to speak perfect English but even google translate could not get me a working iron! I fail to understand why you’d not have the right iron plug for the hotel sockets… - At breakfast I was asked 3 times if they should open a parasol, I politely said “no” so the staff waited for me to go to the buffet & opened it anyway! I was cold in the shade so I just left my food, which was a disappointment - I had to ask for my free tourist card for transport & museum discounts. This should be provided to all guests, had I not been aware of it then I’d have missed out On balance, for me it was overpriced, for 450 CHF per night I will likely try somewhere else next time I come to town. Not a disaster but I feel there’s likely better choices. The Best Western next door is 1/3 of the cost…"

"I stayed at Best Western Hotel Bellevue au Lac for just one night, but it was a truly pleasant experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, the room was spotless, and the location was perfect—right by the lake with beautiful views. The food was delicious, and overall, everything exceeded my expectations. I’d definitely love to return for a longer stay next time!"

"The room is unimaginably large, and it is a luxury hotel with a very high cost-effectiveness. The kitchen is fully equipped, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lunogazha Lake and mountains from the huge balcony. The endless mountains opposite are like ”planted” with houses. At night, the lights of thousands of houses are magnificent, and the green mountains, green waters, red tiles and yellow walls, the colorful and beautiful scenery is unparalleled. The breakfast on the second day was varied, colorful and delicious. We ate a lot of salmon and various fruits and vegetables, which made us like it so much that we didn't want to leave. If we hadn't booked a hotel in Lucerne on Ctrip, we would have stayed and enjoyed it. If we come again next time, we will definitely choose this one. After checking out, you can also book a hotel car to take you to the train station."

"신혼여행으로 묵었던 숙소입니다. 이탈리아 포지타노 느낌인 위치에 있던 숙소였고 오고 가는 건 힘들지만 버스가 있어서 여행하는 느낌이 들고 좋았습니다. 숙소도 이탈리아 풍이 물씬 느껴졌고 연식은 되어 보이지만 화장실은 리모델링 되어있고, 방충망이랑 에어컨은 없지만 벌레 없이 쾌적하게 잤습니다. 제일 좋았던 것은 조식이었는데 메뉴도 훌륭하고 멋진 정원에서 먹을 수 있다는 점이 제일 마음에 들었습니다~"

"The location is fantastic, right by the train station. The lady at the front desk was warm and friendly; she checked us in early and meticulously explained the breakfast, Wi-Fi password, and how to enter after hours. The room has a small kitchen with a microwave, fridge, and various utensils, though we didn't use them – it felt very convenient for cooking. There's also a coffee machine in the room, so we enjoyed a capsule coffee every day when we returned to the hotel. Breakfast was very rich; their croissants were even better than those in German-speaking areas, and there was a huge variety of fruit – a real treat for fruit lovers! The only downside is that the bathroom has no ventilation, so you have to open the window to air it out. Also, the extra bed, once pulled out, blocks the clothes rack, and I wasn't strong enough to fold the bed away, which made hanging clothes a bit inconvenient. However, these are minor issues; everything else was great. Next time I'm in Lugano, I'll definitely stay here again, haha!"
