Cleanliness could be improved slightly, but it did not significantly affect our experience. Overall, this hotel offers great value for its location and service, and I would recommend it to travelers looking for a convenient and friendly place to stay in Zurich."

"I had a fantastic stay at Ruby Mimi Hotel Zurich. The hotel’s vintage cinema-inspired design adds unique charm, and the location is perfect—just minutes from the main train station and Zurich’s old town. My room was compact but smartly designed, with a comfortable bed, quality shower, and great amenities like a Marshall speaker. The bar and lounge area was cozy and stylish, ideal for unwinding in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. I appreciated the hotel’s sustainable approach and clean, modern feel. A great value stay—I’d definitely return!

Cons:
1. Missed housekeeping request after a call was made for it to be done. No one came and the staff we spoke to only said she will highlight to management.
2. No kettle to boil hot water.. seems like the 2nd hotel we came across in Switzerland that doesn't provide this.
We didn't opt for breakfast so we can't comment on that."

The self-service breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the staff were very enthusiastic. The room's soundproofing was quite good; I wasn't bothered by any noise even though I was staying next to the elevator."

"Very nice hotel stay, and quite a convenient location. The plus point is that it is near the airport. Theres a gym too, which is nice. Unfortunately, the customer service, overall, hasn’t been satisfactory. When booking the shuttle for the airport (a paid service), we were booked for a shuttle with a wrong timing, and the shuttle driver requested that we change the timing. Instead of resolving the situation amicably, the service personnel at the reception desk launched into a debate with us about the timing. That is not the way you communicate with customers.i"

"I've stayed here before. It's a quick 10-minute bus ride from the airport, just 3 or 4 stops. It's also very close to the train station, less than a 10-minute walk. There are 2-3 supermarkets nearby, and right next to the hotel is a Turkish restaurant with good food, if you like Turkish cuisine.
This time, the front desk staff were very kind and friendly. Note that the city tax must be paid by card; they don't accept cash.
When I opened the room door, the bed was tall and narrow, and with the red and white color scheme, it looked exactly like something out of a European TV show or movie, which actually made me a bit scared to sleep. The room was small, and the layout was impractical. My knee hit the metal edge of the sink when I was getting out of the bathtub, scraping off a layer of skin. The toilet was also awkwardly placed.
The hotel's Wi-Fi was terrible; it would connect and immediately disconnect, then I couldn't connect again at all.
The mini-bar drinks were all complimentary, which was a nice touch.
Although it's next to the airport, the noise wasn't too bad; by the time it got noisy, I was already out. There's another hotel near the airport that's my first choice, it's excellent in all aspects, but it was fully booked. So this was my second choice, and it's fine for a transit stay."

"Have the worst impression of this hotel. First it was overpriced but we still came for comfort . We were announced to pay 45 Franks for dog then extra 35 for parking and it seemed very greedy for the hotel.
Bed wasn’t a ready for child so had to wait and wait. Amenities very basic and minimal. Felt disguised even to take pictures at hotel. Would never come again for this money and service !"

"highly recommend this hotel, convenient to central train station, walk to main shopping street for 15 mins. the room is very stylish, a bicycle is placed inside the room, maybe u can ride with it. I didn't use it as we drove. the mini bar is free of charge and can refill when necessary. Room cleaning is upon requested.
Just a little bit noisy in the morning as it is located near the train station, but I can sleep without problem. There are around 20 carpark spaces in front of the hotel. it's very convenient for driving but space is limited, you can get the parking space for luck. and you can walk for 10 mins for another carpark if necessary.
it's my first time in Zurich and I'm glad to stay here."

EEmily_YI recently stayed at this hotel on November 16, 2024, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! After a long 13 hour flight from Hong Kong, I was grateful to be allowed an early check-in at 9 AM. This made a huge difference, allowing me to rest before starting my day.
Mr. Filippo at the front desk was incredibly helpful. He not only assigned me a lovely room with a terrace but also provided excellent recommendations for nearby attractions, making my first day of a 13-day journey truly special. His courteous demeanor and willingness to assist were very much appreciated.
The hotel's location is perfect, just a short walk to the city center and attractions, with everything you need right across the street. I highly recommend this hotel.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is incredibly convenient. While it's a little over 1 km from the train station, trams 11 and 14 will take you directly to the hotel in just three stops. They provide real-time tram information in the lobby, and rooms even come with a printed weekly weather forecast, demonstrating excellent attention to detail. Although the breakfast selection isn't vast, the quality is remarkably high. As an established hotel, it's a superb choice for anyone visiting Zurich.

Customer service needs a lot of improvement, particularly a receptionist called Natasha.
After collecting our luggages from the storage, I proceeded to asked her for the hotel room key as we have yet to check in. She then said ”she wouldn't know anything as I did not provide any details to her”. As a front desk staff, I would think it is part of your responsibility to maybe ask?
On another occasion, I asked her if it was okay to get something delivered to the hotel tomorrow as I forgot something and needed it urgently. Her respond was ”Isn't it too late now that I ask her?” The look on her face was a look of annoyance.
I told her I could cancel it if it wasn't allowed. Eventually, my item was not delivered as she probably did not cascade the information to the staff on duty the next day.
Would appreciate if she could respond nicely, especially when you're in the service line.
I'm not sure if it has anything to do with ******?? I've observed that she was very friendly and accomodate a guest of a different race whom asked her for a favour.
If you'd like consistently good service, I'd suggest put your money elsewhere. The accomodation doesn't come cheap as well.

You can enjoy the lake and mountains from the room, and the scenery is different at dawn and dusk. The environment is quiet, combining the convenience of the city center with the leisure of the lakeside. It is an ideal choice for both sightseeing and leisure.

HHarmonickFine for a business traveler. For couples...eh. Walls are pretty thin as stated. The ”lounge” is just a room on the 9th floor with a TV and some games. There's no deadbolt on the door. That being said, the sunrise corner room gets unbeatable views!
Also, classic European bathroom where water just gets... everywhere when showering. So it's solid for a night in Zurich but not sure I could recommend it for a week of travel or if you're looking for something romantic.

MModouletianThe hotel is very close to Zurich Main Station, just a 3-minute walk away. The exterior is quite nice, and it even has a Swiss flag.
Facilities: It's an older hotel, so the facilities are a bit dated, but they are well-maintained. The decor in the hallways is quite stylish.
Hygiene: Overall, the cleanliness was pretty good.
Environment: The train station is just a short walk across the street. There's a McDonald's nearby for breakfast and a Coop supermarket also very close.
Service: There was a chocolate left on the bedside table. The front desk staff were quite welcoming and spoke excellent English when I checked out and stored my luggage.

It's not as far from the station as I thought:-)
There's nothing you can't find around here and you can walk around Zurich.
It's great to see the night view and go home.
