"The hotel’s location is fantastic—right in the heart of Zurich and extremely convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and public transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making the overall experience pleasant and smooth. While the amenities were fairly simple, they were adequate for a comfortable short stay. Cleanliness could be improved slightly, but it did not significantly affect our experience. Overall, this hotel offers great value for its location and service, and I would recommend it to travelers looking for a convenient and friendly place to stay in Zurich."

"Location is good, some 400 mtrs distance to bahnhof. Just past rive you will see the polybahn sign and campari hotel sign. Coops store is nearby except on sunday. Room is clean, size is ok. Bathroom had shower curtain to segregate toilet bowl and shower area, either way still wet. You can get utensils plates and kitchen towels from lobby area if you need to eat inside room. No kettle but hot water is available from lobby to fill up and thermos flask is provided there too. Coffee tea also there. You have return the utensils once done. Luggage storage is avaiable. Extension of check out time is available only if you book thru their own website. All ok and acceptable."

"Hands down, this is a very lovely hotel and is the most glittering gem in Zürich The place is….. - located in a vantage point that is close to everything - nice and comfortable that puts it on the pedestal in the same league; - squeaky clean and spick and span; - very comfortable bed that you are mollycoddled, from the very first moment you hit the sack; - quiet and reclusive, and conveniences are a stone's throw away; - Facilities just as described Simply the best accommodation!"

"Pros: 1. Location is right across Oerlikon train station and surrounded by supermarkets and a small shopping mall. 2. Rooms prices are more affordable compared to the ones near Zurich main station. 3. Front office staff were friendly and welcoming. 4. Modern and fairly spacious rooms for 19sqm Cons: 1. Missed housekeeping request after a call was made for it to be done. No one came and the staff we spoke to only said she will highlight to management. 2. No kettle to boil hot water.. seems like the 2nd hotel we came across in Switzerland that doesn't provide this. We didn't opt for breakfast so we can't comment on that."

"I've stayed here before. It's a quick 10-minute bus ride from the airport, just 3 or 4 stops. It's also very close to the train station, less than a 10-minute walk. There are 2-3 supermarkets nearby, and right next to the hotel is a Turkish restaurant with good food, if you like Turkish cuisine. This time, the front desk staff were very kind and friendly. Note that the city tax must be paid by card; they don't accept cash. When I opened the room door, the bed was tall and narrow, and with the red and white color scheme, it looked exactly like something out of a European TV show or movie, which actually made me a bit scared to sleep. The room was small, and the layout was impractical. My knee hit the metal edge of the sink when I was getting out of the bathtub, scraping off a layer of skin. The toilet was also awkwardly placed. The hotel's Wi-Fi was terrible; it would connect and immediately disconnect, then I couldn't connect again at all. The mini-bar drinks were all complimentary, which was a nice touch. Although it's next to the airport, the noise wasn't too bad; by the time it got noisy, I was already out. There's another hotel near the airport that's my first choice, it's excellent in all aspects, but it was fully booked. So this was my second choice, and it's fine for a transit stay."

"We stayed at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel by Fassbind from 5/21/25 - 5/24/25 (3 nights). We are a family of 3 adults and booked 1 room that has (3) twin beds. Our room was on the 6th floor. It was clean and surprisingly roomy. The only problem, there's no AC (Europe hotels for most part don't have air-conditioning). We opened the window and let cooler air to come in. I am sure it's a lot less comfortable in the summer due to the heat. The most enjoyable part were the staff at the front desk. Shout out to Yosie, Katia and Martina. These ladies were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The owner, Mr. Fassbind, should give these ladies a 8% raise. The price for the room was also ”reasonable” for Zürich (~ $400/night). Being able to have 3 people in one room is a bonus. Most hotels will show ”sold out” when trying to book 1 room for 3 people. I really had a very positive experience at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel in Zürich and can highly recommend it. I definitely would stay here again if the opportunity arises."

"The first day when we arrived on the 13th of August , the guy at the front desk was very friendly and polite.The hotel is located near tram and train station and bus station so it is was very convenient to go anywhere. Tram is 4mins walk away ,10mins walk to supermarket and train station. And 15mins by tram to the Zurich airport . Hotel cleanliness is an issue, very dusty floor,dirty sink,and dirty toilet bowl. I even asked twice the receptionist the guy on duty if they can clean our room and put a fresh towel but no one came to clean.Room service is not 24hrs. Air conditioning doesn’t cool the room down. No tv channels. Hotel service is below standard. Merlyn from London"

"Getting to the hotel from the train station is super convenient with tram line 4; it stops right outside, runs frequently, and the journey only takes about ten minutes. Our triple room came with bunk beds and was quite compact, but perfectly functional. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A slight downside was not being able to boil water in the room, but there's a kettle available in the ground-floor restaurant for hot water. We also noticed many guests using the restaurant's communal area for their meals in the evenings. Overall, it offers excellent value for money, especially for Zurich."

"Very nice hotel stay, and quite a convenient location. The plus point is that it is near the airport. Theres a gym too, which is nice. Unfortunately, the customer service, overall, hasn’t been satisfactory. When booking the shuttle for the airport (a paid service), we were booked for a shuttle with a wrong timing, and the shuttle driver requested that we change the timing. Instead of resolving the situation amicably, the service personnel at the reception desk launched into a debate with us about the timing. That is not the way you communicate with customers.i"
