"I recently stayed at Planet Holiday Hotel Batam for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. One of the highlights of my stay was being pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which made the trip even more comfortable and memorable. The suite was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel’s location is excellent and one of its biggest advantages. It’s conveniently surrounded by shopping malls, plenty of food options, convenience stores, and Batam’s vibrant nightlife, making it easy to explore the area without travelling far. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a hotel that offers great value, a strategic location, comfortable rooms, and excellent hospitality, I would definitely recommend Planet Holiday Hotel Batam. "Booked Executive Suit for two nights. Clean room and the customer service staffs are polite and efficient. The buffet breakfast is basic but sufficient. In general, good location. Walking distance to HarbourBay Ferry Terminal and nearby amenities. Short drive to NagoyaHill Shopping Mall."

"This is a pleasant hotel located near Harbour Bay, although it is not within comfortable walking distance. The food and service were both very good. A special mention goes to the chef preparing the fried noodles—they were outstanding, and I would happily return just to enjoy that dish again. The guest room was comfortable, but the furniture showed noticeable signs of wear and would benefit from refurbishment or replacement. The swimming pool access felt a little unusual, as the entrance is located next to the restaurant, while the changing rooms are quite a distance away, making it less convenient for guests. The gym is spacious, which is a great feature. However, many of the machines were out of order, so maintaining or replacing the equipment would significantly improve the fitness facilities."

"Everything was great – the room facilities were excellent and perfect. The service attitude was also very good. The hotel offers massages, but I didn't book one. Breakfast was delicious. It's also very close to the pier, which is a big plus."

"Service was good, staff were attentive. However upkeep of room windows can be better, it was moulding slightly. Also, got assigned to a smoking floor though I requested for a non smoking room… and was unable to change rooms. But they offered dehumidification service."

"The location of the hotel was great, just a short 5 mins walk from the Habourbay Terminal. However, was rather disappointed by the service and facilities. (1) Room had a weird stale, musty smell when we first checked in to our room, but the smell eventually went away after 2-3h with aircon circulation. It was bearable but we could really use an air freshener. (2) We were not informed that the gym/pool had opening or closing times. There were also no signs indicating as such. When we tried to visit the gym at around 10pm, everything was already closed. (3) On the amenities, we had to make repeated checks receptionist that we can get a shaving razor and instant coffee. At first, the housekeeping didn't understand what we wanted. The first receptionist at the front desk simply just tried to waive us away by saying they are not available. It was only after we approached a second receptionist did they finally understood and brought it out for us. The shower gel also ran out after the first night and housekeeping did not refill it despite cleaning the room in the day. (4) The hotel spa, despite saying they were open for 24h and that a reservation was required, repeatedly told us to go to their counter at the 4th floor to check on availability. We went there and checked at least 6 times during our 3D2N stay and each time, we were told that there was no immediate availability but to come back at a later time instead. They also turned us away when we tried to make an advance booking. They could have saved time for everyone by just saying there was no availability and reservations were unavailable instead of asking us to come back every now and then. Overall, the service level was very disappointing for a 4-star hotel. There are better and cheaper hotel options around the Harbourbay area."

"I enjoyed the accessibility to Grand ESKA spa. The breakfast buffet was simple yet enjoyable and delicious. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Appreciated the front desk team for remembering us by face and asking how our day was daily. The hotel was refurbished. Even though old, the bed was good, firm and new and room was kept clean. The lift was rather dingy but it still got us up and down safely. Lastly, i personally enjoyed the quiet corners of the hotel. Loved the fact that our level was “child free” hence there werent kids shouting in rooms. I love children, but the hotel’s particular policy of no child in the room type we booked was pleasantly surprising. Will returned. Note: spa experience was on point too."
