"While the hotel's location is somewhat secluded, requiring a car or taxi to reach, this very fact contributes to its extremely tranquil environment, making it perfect for guests seeking peace and quiet. The hotel boasts exquisite and comfortable design, and the staff are both friendly and professional. The dining experience was a pleasant surprise; dinner was exceptional. What's even more thoughtful is that some beverages are complimentary, and you can even swap items. Even the drinks in the in-room mini-fridge are provided free of charge. As for the private hot spring bath, it was impeccable – an excellent experience that I wholeheartedly recommend."

"MODA gave me a great experience. I love the quietness of the hotel, it’s zen. The room is comfortable and well equipped. The staff were kind and welcoming. Love the welcoming drinks session, free flow for all drinks. The food was great as well. A very relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely recommend friends to MODA. Only downside was the location is a bit hard to find, but once you know where, it’s alright."

"This onsen hotel exceeded my expectations – it was truly excellent!
First off, every room has its own private onsen, offering complete privacy, so you can enjoy a hot spring bath anytime you like! The hotel environment is beautiful, perfect for taking photos. We were lucky enough to encounter snow, which was the icing on the cake!
What's more, the room was fully equipped and impeccably clean! Since we visited in winter, it was incredibly thoughtful that there were heaters everywhere, even in the bathroom.
We booked the 'one night, two meals' package, and the food was delicious! The dishes were very unique, and you could really feel the restaurant's dedication. Extremely satisfied!
The staff were excellent – friendly and approachable, making me feel right at home.
Regarding transportation, we originally planned to drive, but canceled our car rental due to the weather. We took the train to Yufu Eki, pre-booked the shuttle with the hotel, and arrived in about 10 minutes!
Overall, this is a highly recommended gem of a hotel! I'll definitely be back!"

"The environment is better than expected, with a feeling of a secluded path and a sense of life in the mountains and forests. It's really good, and the boss is also very nice. We live in a bungalow, which has no shower or private bath, which is a bit uncomfortable. You need to go to the public bath, or you can book a private forest bath, which is great. It's very big. About 40 minutes. The food is also good, with a strong taste and a strong rural atmosphere. There are various private baths that can be used randomly and unlimited times. Fortunately, we basically took a bath this time. There are not many people. In short, I am still very satisfied with this place. "The location is super convenient, just a 2-3 minute walk from Yufuin Station. The room is spacious, but there's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up to the second floor. The first floor is a cafe which also doubles as the check-in counter. The staff are incredibly friendly too. Highly recommend! 👍"

" Although the place is relatively remote, it is really super quiet and comfortable, and you can also make a free appointment to the JR station in advance. There are 4 private styles to choose from. After entering, you can lock the door and take a shower. The privacy is very high. You can also see if anyone else is in use on the TV screen in the room. It is definitely a good place to get physical and mental peace and charging. Accommodation: clean and comfortable. Food: fresh, carefully cooked, breakfast and dinner ingredients are different for two days, each meal is very rich, so the mother must worry about being hungry in the middle of the night, and the boss and the proprietress often show a very kind smile, so that we have a very kind feeling. Before leaving, I also told the proprietress that the green tea made here was good. I immediately bought a pack of her and brought it back to Hong Kong to taste it slowly. She also gave me a green tea bag. I really thank the boss and the proprietress for their kind service. I will definitely come here again next time I go to Fugang."

"This onsen hotel is great! We opted for the half-board plan (dinner and breakfast included), which was super convenient. Although the hotel is a bit older, everything is very well-maintained. The shower pressure was excellent, and the wet/dry separation in the bathroom was really good. Japanese hotels are always clean, of course. It's also just a 5-minute walk (300 meters) from Yufuin Station. Overall, we were very satisfied with everything! 👍"

"The staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious. "

"The beautiful environment, the eye-catching is the gorgeous red maple. The service is nothing to say, the package dinner is served in the villa, before confirming whether there are taboos or food allergies, different dishes every day, you can also ask for 5A beef hot pot (additional money is required). The breakfast is served in a large restaurant, and it is also a private room. The decoration is very Zen-like. The taste is even better, and the style is too much to eat. The room is a two-storey villa, each with a different but private soup, a great hotel!"
