"Hotel is so close to airport around 7 mins walk plus the ambiance of hotel was fantastic. It's clean and beautiful old hotel. Carpet was annoying with luggage but other than that enjoyed my stay. They have free shuttle service and breakfast which is good. Also It's conveniently located close to restaurant and grocery stores. Highly recommended if looking for a place to stay for an early flight back home."

"Accessibility and location was fantastic. Restaurant, cafes, night market are all within reach. Staff are helpful and friendly. However the hotel looks old and run down. They don't have a lift and sadly we have to carry our luggage on the 3rd floor. The staff are not so attentive with helping us with our luggage. The front receptionist was helpful thought. However it's cheap hotel so you get what you paid for."

"We are a family of 3 staying in 1 room and had a great time. The service was impeccable, staff were always polite, helpful, willing to help and always went over the top for us. Special shout out to Aiy, and the duty supervisor whom we didn't get the name of. The restaurant service at Origin was amazing. We want to give a special mention to May, Kitty and Zaiy who've helped us with organizing vegetarian food and going & beyond to make us feel so special! 10/10 would recommend to those looking for a centrally located hotel and are keen to indulge themselves a bit."

"This is a wonderful hotel with a very convenient location in the city. The hotel is brand new, it just opened. So there's a chance to sleep on a completely new mattress and pristine, crisp linens. The hotel offers breakfast on the rooftop – it's a modest buffet, but it has everything you need (instant coffee, juices, eggs, bread, jam, sausages, hot pho bo, cold fried rice, and fruit). I especially want to highlight the staff's service. The young women and men are extremely responsive, kind, and always smiling, ready to help guests at any moment. Huge thanks to them for their hard work and dedication. You guys are truly amazing! Special thanks to the hotel owner, who offered a complimentary transfer from the hotel to the train station, and then conveniently forgot about it 😂👍🏼"

"The Marlin Vientiane is very well located, and the room facilities as well as the pool area are quite nice and comfortable. Unfortunately, that is where the positive aspects end. The breakfast service is a complete disaster. Around 10:00 a.m. (breakfast is officially served until 10:30 a.m.), the buffet was already completely empty. What remained was old, dried-out cold cuts and cheese that looked far from fresh and clearly unhygienic. The overall cleanliness of the breakfast area was very poor and far below any acceptable standard. Communication within the breakfast area was nonexistent. The staff did not seem to coordinate with each other at all, and English communication was practically impossible. It gave the impression that management does not care about the food and beverage operation at all. Shortly after this breakfast experience, I became seriously ill with gastrointestinal symptoms, which strongly suggests a hygiene-related issue. While the hotel offers good comfort and an excellent location, a basic level of cleanliness and food safety should be expected—especially when it comes to breakfast. Due to this experience, I cannot recommend staying at this hotel."

"Quiet and near the airport. Perfect for the end of my trip. I slept well, swam in the pool and worked out in the gym. Great breakfast and nice staff. My flight was super late the next day but they let me hang out by the pool and in the lobby for the whole day. Maybe it's just a busy time so some cleaning was definitely overlooked. I changed my own bedsheets because they maybe forgot to change them. I also bought some cleaning supplies and just gave the bathroom a once over. It was no bother for me, I just feel more comfortable if I know it's definitely had some chemicals wiped over the place 😆 They need to buy some new towels though, cos the ones they've got are rough! Overall, I would stay here again. It's a short walk to the mini Mart and there are some local places to eat nearby."

"The hotel is comfortable old-fashioned the only really disappointment was the breakfast which is included but is not good, so dont Stay because breakfast is included as you will be Very disappointed. To rate the hotel, you need to rate the country and the city, and the country is far behind the quality of countries on its borders. But go it’s worth a visit"

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right opposite the Vietnamese Embassy, and the Arc de Triomphe is just a two to three-hundred-meter walk away. In China, this location would be comparable to the Beijing Hotel on Chang'an Avenue. The hotel restaurant staff, including the bar service, were all exceptionally good and made us feel very comfortable. The room was also very comfortable, beautiful, and fully equipped with all the amenities. There was even a free mini-bar with complimentary coffee, tea, beer, and other beverages. Now for the complaints! Our checkout day was Laos's National Day, and the area in front of the hotel was scheduled to be closed off. This crucial information was not provided by the front desk during check-in! We only found out about it when we saw a notice letter placed on the desk in our room after we had already settled in. Upon learning this, we specifically went to the front desk to inquire if we would be able to get a taxi to the airport on National Day despite the road closures. Different shifts of front desk staff all responded vaguely, saying they weren't sure. They had known about the road closure in advance, so why didn't they inform us before we checked in, allowing us to make alternative arrangements? This goes against their self-proclaimed five-star hotel service. Furthermore, during checkout, the front desk cashier didn't know how to use the card machine. After struggling for a long time, it was only when we prompted them to ask a colleague for help that the issue was resolved. Even more incredibly, they included a bill for charges that were not ours! Third, on the morning of December 1st, we inquired at the front desk if we could exchange some small change for US dollars. A lady with glasses at the front desk coldly stated that they didn't have US dollars. I then asked, ”Then why did you collect a $300 USD deposit from us upon check-in?” However, that same afternoon, another staff member at the front desk readily exchanged the small change for us. Why the discrepancy? Was it intentional or just negligent? In summary, the front desk staff at this hotel conveyed an inexplicable sense of superiority, yet their capabilities were limited, and they shirked responsibility. Finally, there aren't many shopping or entertainment venues near the hotel. Its city-center location, high level of comfort inside the rooms, and excellent rooftop bar are definite advantages. This is just for everyone's reference."

"We had a great night sleep in this hotel before departing the next day to Vietnam. Since breakfast was not included, we paid extra for it and got a discount for being IHG members. Breakfast was fine; would no have paid a second day of breakfast, but not bad for $13. Room was spacious, big windows, though the view was not nice. Water pressure not great. The only part that I thought was below average was customer service. The young people at the front desk manages business as if it’s a school project and not a 5 star resort. Way too slow, didn’t seem to take matters urgently and sometimes acted unprofessionally. I get that’s the kind of “young vibe” they are going for, but it didn’t work for me."

"This hotel has clear pros and cons. Although it is located outside of the main center, it is still about a 20-minute walk to the tourist street. There are no special facilities. The restaurant is small and does not open late. Because the surrounding area is industrial, you don't feel like you're in a tourist area. There are also restaurants within a 10-minute walk. But that also serves as an advantage. The advantage is that you can use a spacious room at this price while taking a taxi and not planning to go out at night. This part is better than I thought. Above all, unlike tourist streets, the industrial businesses are completely closed at night, making it breathtakingly quiet. If you want a spacious room for the price and a quiet evening, this could be a good option. But do I go to restaurants and bars at night, or do I need nearby restaurants and supermarkets that open late at night? Then this may not be a good choice. Hygiene isn't bad, and the shower room is okay. The TV and air conditioner work well without any problems. Above all, for this price, the room is spacious, so from my point of view, I have to unpack the house. Even though it wasn't a great hotel, it was a decent hotel. And there is a hamburger restaurant next to the back entrance on the first floor, and it is delicious. If you stay here and like burgers, give it a go Chicken burger is delicious ^^"
