"This is a fantastic place to stay! We booked the room for three people, and it was great. It had a separate room with a double bed (for two people) and another room with a single bed (for one person), complete with a TV and dining table. There's a counter, fridge, shoe cabinet, and plenty of storage space. The bathroom is shared, with two entrances: one from the single-bed room and another from the double-bed room. It's really convenient. The beds are super comfortable. The air conditioning in both rooms is easy to adjust with the remote. You can even watch YouTube on the TV, which is a great touch. Check-in is at 2 PM and check-out at 12 PM. I highly recommend booking with breakfast included – it was absolutely delicious!

"The location is convenient for me as the nightly food Bazaar is just a stone's throw away. The rooms are big and well equipped with a microwave oven & a set of dining utensils too - unheard of for a hotel room. The gym, pool, sauna are well maintained & popular with guests & locals too. "The room was quite spacious and newly renovated. The location was excellent, close to both the sea and the main street, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. You can even pay with Alipay at 7-Eleven. Be aware that children over 4 years old (or was it 3?) incur an extra charge of 700 THB per day for the room, plus 200 THB per day for the buffet breakfast. So, if you're traveling with kids, it's probably best to book a family room, as paying extra doesn't guarantee a room change – you'll likely stay in the same one. The deluxe king and twin rooms have a small bed that an adult can sleep on. The hotel has a restaurant where you can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The prices are comparable to outside, though the portions are about half the size. The buffet breakfast was very rich and definitely worth it."

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is pretty good, facing the beach and the sea, which is really comfortable, and the environment is lovely. Dinner was also nice, and there was even a firework show! The only issue is the hotel's location itself – cars can't get all the way to the hotel, so you have to walk with your luggage. If you have a lot of bags, it can be quite tiring. There were also too many mosquitoes, so definitely be prepared with repellent.

GGuest UserThe taxi from the pier cost 250 baht. The beach right in front of the hotel is fantastic, and the male attendant who manages the towels was really good – he's the reason I gave the last 100 baht as a tip. His enthusiasm also led us to book a night squid fishing trip for 9 people.
However, all the staff here seem to have two different attitudes: one for Western guests and another for Chinese guests. While everyone else managed basic politeness, the female server in the restaurant (pictured in photo 2) was incredibly rude to us. This is my fifth time vacationing in Thailand, and I've also traveled to the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, the Maldives, and Hamilton Island, but this is honestly the first time I've encountered a staff member so rude. She pointed her finger at me and loudly demanded that I push the water bottle from the middle of the table to against the wall. I was completely stunned.
Upon check-in, they asked for 500 baht per night for an extra bed for our 6-year-old. Since the three of us could comfortably share the king-sized bed, we declined and only paid for the child's breakfast, which was 200 baht per day.
One evening, we also encountered teenagers on the beach who were indiscriminately bullying kids playing there. I never even saw something like this in Australia, yet it happened on Koh Samet. Thankfully, my English speaking skills are decent, and after a big argument, he ended up yelling that he was going to call the police.
Overall, I still wouldn't recommend booking a hotel here. The pricing attracts a certain type of clientele, and since there are many very cheap hotels nearby, the beach attracts all sorts of tourists.

RRay2233Traveling with kids and elderly parents, we booked two rooms for two nights. At the time of booking, only deluxe rooms were available, and the price wasn't great. The rooms were arranged in a row of three, quite far inside, and a bit small with poor soundproofing, but they were clean. The hotel has its own pier, and the ferry to and from the island is free. Our luggage went directly to the island's front desk, which was very convenient. We were charged a 200 Thai Baht per person island fee at check-in, but it was refunded at check-out, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff, both at the pier and the hotel, were very friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfast was also plentiful. Next time we visit Koh Samet, we'll definitely book a deluxe cottage closer to the beach.

ААнна ИсмагиловаUpon check-in, our family room had a dirty patch on the wall under the air conditioner and was located near the reception area. The room provided was not as cozy or inviting as it appeared in the photos, and it was quite small, with a very narrow walkway between the entrance and the beds. We managed to upgrade to a higher-category room on the spot for an additional fee.
Breakfast is delivered to the room with two options to choose from, but the only place to eat is on the bed, which is quite inconvenient. Another drawback is the lack of foot-washing stations outside the rooms, meaning sand gets tracked in constantly.
On the positive side, the location is excellent – just 10 steps from a beach with pristine white sand. The hotel also offers private sun loungers and has a cafe serving delicious iced coffee.
I noticed the hotel features two premium rooms – two-story bungalows with direct sea views (as shown in some photos), but I couldn't find them listed on Trip.com.

NNipoditangxianzuStayed for 2 nights and 3 days. You can snorkel directly in front of the hotel, and there are more fish near the coral reefs, but I wouldn't recommend going there if the waves are big. It's best to wear long pants and diving socks to avoid scratches. The sand right outside is very fine and soft. Breakfast is served by the sea with ocean views. The bar street can get a bit noisy at night, so it might not be suitable for light sleepers, but since we usually go to bed late, it didn't bother us. A major plus is that the bedsheets are changed for every new guest. The room has many windows, making it bright and airy. The only downsides are that the shower only has a handheld showerhead and the water pressure is a bit low. For shopping, try to go to the 7-Eleven on the main street, as the supermarket here is about a third more expensive. Overall, it offers great value for money and is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

When see people not guest at the hotel coming early and reserving their chairs and umbrella by put down a towel and moving furniture around then going away for a few hours coming back with friends
There is one umbrella and 3 chairs per set
Most people are in couples so only need 2 chairs
If have children staff should provide a mat under the umbrella
Staff shouldn't let guests move furniture around
This way more guests at hotel can get a space on the beach
We had breakfast at 7.30am and by 8am we had too rush too get our space on the beach before all gone

When you are paying good money too stay here
You want a spot on the beach
The other option is too sit in restaurant all day

SSunéKWe had such a lovely stay at The Salil Hotel Sukhumvit 57 – Thonglor and would absolutely come back again.
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Thonglor, close to great restaurants, cafes, and nightlife, but still peaceful enough to relax properly. It made getting around Bangkok very easy.
The hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained, and everything was spotless. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, which made our stay feel effortless.
Breakfast was definitely a highlight. There was a great variety of options, fresh ingredients, and something for every mood. It was the perfect way to start each day.
Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and always helpful. From check in to check out, they made us feel welcome and taken care of.
Overall, such a great experience. Comfortable, convenient, and genuinely enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was comfortable and well-kept, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The firework show was such a lovely bonus and made the experience even more special. GGuest UserThis hotel gave me a very mixed impression. It's located right on the beach, and the only access is from the beach itself. You'll have to carry your luggage across the sand (though the hotel does have porters if you ask at the front desk). We didn't know this when we checked in, as this detail wasn't in the hotel description. We arrived in the evening and had to drag a huge suitcase 15 meters across the sandy beach in sneakers, dodging people dining at tables. Our room was booked for the 1st floor (booking photo attached), but we were assigned a corner room on the 3rd floor. We spent the next three days trying to sort it out with the hotel. They admitted their mistake and promised to move us, but never did, even though 1st-floor rooms were available during our stay. In room 31B, the Wi-Fi signal was completely non-existent. I had to go out onto the balcony every time and stretch my arm with my phone towards the pool. The internet on the beach also worked poorly. The Wi-Fi was only good by the pool. The TV in our room also didn't work.
However, this was probably one of the few rooms in the hotel where you didn't need to draw the curtains, as the balcony view was of a wall (most rooms have glass windows and face each other). The hotel has a restaurant with some tables right on the beach; the menu is quite extensive, and the prices aren't inflated. The beach is nice, and the sea is magnificent. Breakfasts were good, with a wide selection, and the room was cleaned daily, with water provided. There's a pier about 15 meters from the hotel, and you can arrive and depart directly from there (300 baht per person). Near the hotel, there's a small shop, several restaurants along the beach, and bike rentals available. The reception can also call a tuk-tuk for you. On weekends, the reception and restaurant were open until 11 PM, and on weekdays until 9-10 PM.

GGuest UserThe most important thing about this place is its owner. Alex is a wonderful and friendly local islander. He truly puts his heart into what he does and does everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. Have a problem? Just talk to Alex and he’ll do his best to help. Need advice? Ask Alex! I think the main idea is clear
As for the place itself, it’s calm and quiet, yet close to the central part of the island where all the main shops are located. The beach is a 3-minute walk away, another one is about 5 minutes away — everything is nearby. The hotel has its own bar and a private area, peaceful and relaxing. The main issue is mosquitoes, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault — after all, there’s nature right behind the fence, and a very unusual one at that. We even saw a giant stick insect on the property for the first time ever, lol 🙂
The bungalow has all the basic essentials: a bed, air conditioning, a toilet, a shower, and a kettle. It might be nice to have a wardrobe or some storage for clothes, but that’s just a small nitpick.
If you’re not picky and don’t need five-star service, but appreciate a warm and genuine welcome, I can highly recommend this place!
