"Situated on the quieter, west side of Ko Samet ,Le Vinarm Cottage and Spai s a lovely hotel to unwind and enjoy peace and quiet. You are collected at Ao Prao pier and transfer via the hotel speed boat It has a good sized pool and a very nice restaurant ; breakfast offerings are extensive and the menu for evening meals has both Thai and western dishes. All are delicious! There is access to the way aside of the island via taxi which we'd recommend rather than walking as it's about 3km over hilly terrain. This is ideal if you fancy eating at more restaurants. We had a lovely, relaxing break at Le Vinarm and would thoroughly recommend."

"The cleanliness was excellent. The staff were lovely, polite, and explained all the details thoroughly before check-in. The breakfast offered a good variety, and the dining area was well-arranged and functional. The breakfast line-up was also well-balanced. There was a buy-one-get-one-free cocktail offer during happy hour, and the pizza with its doughy crust was delicious. Highly recommended!"

"We stayed at this hotel in January 2026. We liked the hotel; it's centrally located with markets and Lotus nearby. The hotel has a good gym with a sauna and a hammam, a small pool, and excellent breakfasts. Housekeeping is daily, and slippers, a bathrobe, shampoo, and shower gel are provided. However, there's no toothpaste or toothbrushes, despite it being listed as available. There's a safe in the room, and Wi-Fi works throughout the hotel. There's no free shuttle to the beach, even though it was stated as an amenity on our trip booking. We chose this hotel partly because of that specific feature. Ultimately, you can get to the beach by taxi for about 100 baht, or walk about 5 km. We walked a couple of times through the mangrove forest, but it is quite a distance. Otherwise, we enjoyed the hotel. We thank the hotel staff for their hospitality."

"Fantastic hotel; we especially loved the breakfast buffet with its excellent varied dishes. Always plenty to be had. And the dining room was very clean and organized and the staff quite meticulous and attentive. Our room was lovely and comfortable, although it was void of most decor and art on the walls. Excellent soft and cozy bed and the AC was perfect. And I even used the fitness room, which was well equipped. A very clean environment and relatively new establishment. They even have great networks and streaming services on the room's TV. I managed to watch Prime with my active membership. Thank you everyone for a very pleasant stay. We're hoping to return in the future."

We booked two rooms with a connecting door, which at first looked great with a nice river view. However, at 9 p.m., the air conditioner in one of the rooms broke down. After we informed the hotel, a member of the front office team suddenly appeared and handed us a new room keycard without even asking if we wanted to move. We didn’t, as our main priority for staying here was the connecting rooms.
He then said it would surely take a long time to fix the issue, but we were fine with waiting. Surprisingly, the engineering team fixed it within 15 minutes. This made me think the hotel staff were just too lazy to fix it right away.
Also, the morning egg station chef always seemed very serious, which made our mornings feel a bit too serious as well.

Guest UserThere was nothing around the hotel, allowing me to relax and listen to the sound of the waves. The beach in front of the hotel had wide white sands and calm waters. There's also a pool, which I think is great for families.
The food at the hotel's restaurant was delicious, and I felt no need to go anywhere else to eat. The pork Khao Man Gai I had for breakfast, in particular, was the best I've ever had in Thailand. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made for a stress-free and enjoyable holiday.

The room is spacious, and the air conditioning works really well, much better than the Hilton next door. But the main highlight is the breakfast — it's vastly superior to the Hilton's, and the price is lower too. Plus, there are some great Thai restaurants nearby that are also very affordable.

Ar-TyStayed two nights. The room was clean. The blankets/sheets aren't changed daily. There's a coin-operated washer and dryer available. There's a Lawson convenience store right across the street, which is great for quick meals. Breakfast is decent (you have to ask staff for cocoa, no Ovaltine).

hazelnutxxThe resort is beautiful and the location is excellent. The rooms are clean, and room service is convenient. The natural environment is lovely; we often saw squirrels running around.
However, the room facilities are quite basic. The bathroom didn't have hot water, and the bedside lamp and door lock were broken.
The staff were generally friendly, but not particularly enthusiastic. We rarely experienced proactive or smiling service. On the way to our room, no golf cart offered to help with our luggage. When we asked to use a sun lounger at the private beach, the attendant surprisingly said, 'I don't know,' and we never saw any guests using the sun loungers there. We ate twice at Winkks, and the staff at the entrance never greeted us or proactively showed us to a table. When they found out we didn't have a reservation, they immediately said there was no availability, even though there were clearly two unoccupied tables indoors that hadn't been reserved. They only seated us after we explicitly said we could eat inside. The front desk staff on check-out day were quite good, but the overall service compared to other places in Thailand was pretty average.
Overall, it's an unremarkable resort. If I return to Koh Samet, I would consider other hotels in the same price range.

Vladimir_VladimirovichExcellent location! The beach is fantastic! The breakfast was good with a sea view! We stayed in a standard bungalow, which was a bit dirty and old. The soundproofing was poor – we could hear coconuts falling on the roof all night and birds chirping. The grounds were a bit dismal. In the evening, we encountered two small snakes, and our child almost stepped on one, so definitely bring a flashlight and watch your step! I heard that the suites and family villas are nicer and look newer. Overall, it's budget-friendly and livable! There's also a fire show in the evening.

Ole BTWe loved our stay at Samed Amoris Resort & Pool Villas. We booked a villa with private pool for 3 days and that was exactly what we needed. We spend most days on the hotel area and not many people around so it felt like we had a resort for ourselves.
The breakfast buffeet was great, the service personel was kind and serviceminded as well.
The place is a bit far away from the island «centre» and other activities so I would recommend renting a motorcycle to get around. The hotel does have a restaurant, but we didn’t try that out.
For the pool villa I miss having a pool net, and a rake/broom to remove excess leaves and millipedes. There’s a lot of millipedes around. Other than that this is a perfect vacation resort.
I would definitely come back some day.

MiaomiaoflyThis hotel boasts an excellent location on Ao Phrao Beach, with its own private beach. There are only three hotels in this bay, and Ao Phrao Resort shares ownership with Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa. The middle hotel is independent, which means fewer people and a more secluded atmosphere. This area is much quieter compared to Diamond Beach. While Diamond Beach is lively with music, here you'll find more people quietly reading. The rooms are mostly individual bungalows, which is great. They're spacious and cool. You can borrow towels from the front desk for the beach chairs. The hotel restaurant offers stunning sunset views, but you'll need to book a table in advance to get a good spot. It's clean and hygienic, the rooms are cool, there's plenty of hot water, and it's very quiet – though you can't do much about the AC noise. Overall, it's fantastic. The only downside is the average food at the hotel restaurant, but you can't have everything.

CPeelBeautiful resort. Very quiet ( unfortunately). Perfect location for a wedding. We had a small (6 people) ceremony, pictures and a dinner. We had the resort pretty much to ourselves and have pictures and memories to last a lifetime. My only downside was not enough wine selection. Could be due to lack of guests.

The front desk was unstaffed at night, requiring a phone call to get assistance, which was inconvenient as we didn't have a local SIM card. Breakfast was quite mediocre, and the hotel's appearance didn't quite live up to the polished photos. Our room had only a small window, making it a bit dim with no view. The location was decent though, very close to the beach. The family room was fairly spacious, and we could push the beds together, which was enough for our group of three adults and two children. We booked primarily for the pool, but it turned out to be quite small, only suitable for kids to splash around in. Housekeeping staff were friendly; they'd fold towels into animal shapes if tipped. The shower pressure and overhead shower were much better than in other hotels we've stayed at. What's more, our 10-year-old wasn't charged for breakfast, whereas other hotels charged for the child in a 2-adult, 1-child booking.
