"I rarely write reviews seriously, but the impeccable service at this hotel absolutely warrants one! Initially, I only planned to stay for one night, but the experience was so exceptional that I ended up extending for another day. The hotel is a well-established state guesthouse, built by the lake. It was once Chiang Kai-shek's residence, giving it a rich historical charm. From the viewing platform on Building No. 5, you can take in the stunning scenery at dawn and dusk. The hotel's location is also superb, right next to the Baoguo Temple Visitor Center, making it incredibly convenient to get to Mount Emei. The Hongzhushan Hot Springs are truly outstanding, living up to their reputation. After a day of exploring the mountains and waters, a soak in the warm springs is incredibly soothing. It's even worth making a special trip just for the hot springs. The hotel service is particularly delightful, from the front desk staff to the client managers, everyone is warm and attentive. The lobby has a thoughtful 'treasure chest' stocked with small essentials like mosquito repellent, highlighting their attention to detail. Breakfast meets five-star hotel standards, with a wide array of choices, and the rice noodles are a highlight. The room was clean and bright, maintaining the high management standards of a state guesthouse. The hygiene and safety were impeccable, ensuring a comfortable and reassuring stay. This stay was incredibly pleasant, and I will definitely return when I visit Mount Emei again!"

Hotel near Baoguo Temple/Emeishan Railway Station,Emeishan
Nestled at the foot of the sacred Mount Emei and adjacent to the ancient Baoguo Temple, the Zen Hot Spring - Ten Directions Three Courtyards (Baoguo Temple, Mount Emei) takes "Zen" as its soul and "hot spring" as its medium, creating a tranquil and serene space for travelers to wash away the hustle and bustle and return to their true selves. Although it is not a natural hot spring, it has become a unique and charming place for healing and relaxation at the foot of Mount Emei through the ingenious integration of water quality and Zen aesthetics. 1. Surrounded by Zen, every step is a scene of tranquility. The hot spring area is designed with a "Zen Oriental" theme, ingeniously drawing inspiration from the elegance of Mount Emei and the Zen charm of Baoguo Temple. Elements such as raw wood, bluestone, bamboo shadows, and dry landscapes are integrated into the spatial texture. As you step in, the hustle and bustle fades away, and only the gentle chime of wind chimes under the eaves and the clear chirping of birds in the forest can be heard, accompanied by the faint scent of sandalwood. In the courtyard, moss covers the stones, and winding paths lead to secluded corners. Occasionally, plain-colored lanterns hang from the branches, and the interplay of light and shadow fully reveals the serene scene of "living in the midst of people, yet free from the noise of carriages and horses." The public hot spring area is laid out in a semi-open layout, ensuring the transparency of the space while using bamboo fences, screens, and green plants to skillfully divide the areas, creating a comfortable atmosphere that is private yet not closed off. Every guest can feel the peace and tranquility of Zen while getting close to nature. 2. Craftsmanship in hot springs, healing the body and mind to return to the true self. Although there is no natural hot spring, the hot spring selects water quality with strict standards and uses advanced purification and constant temperature systems to ensure that the water is clean and warm, maintaining a suitable body temperature throughout the year. The hot spring pools are simple yet elegant, either surrounded by raw wood or paved with bluestone. The poolside is decorated with Zen plants such as pine branches and calamus, paired with soft warm light and soothing Zen music. As soon as you step into the water, all your fatigue disappears. Although there are no private hot springs, the reasonable space planning and low-density customer flow management avoid congestion and noise. Guests can enjoy a peaceful soak in the public pools, closing their eyes and listening to the Zen music and watching the bamboo shadows, allowing the warm water to soothe their bodies and minds and find inner clarity and peace. 3. Zen extends, immersive experience of slow life. Besides the comfortable hot spring experience, Ten Directions Three Courtyards also integrates Zen into every detail. The rest area features simple raw wood furniture and soft cotton and linen cushions. Guests can enjoy a cup of Mount Emei tea and read a Zen book, savoring a moment of leisure. The tea room offers professional tea art performances, allowing guests to understand the true meaning of "Zen and tea as one" through observing and tasting tea. Every day, there are small Zen practice activities such as copying sutras and meditation, guided by professional instructors, helping guests let go of distractions and return to inner peace. In addition, the hot spring is close to Baoguo Temple. After soaking, guests can walk to the ancient temple to pay respects and feel the solemnity and solemnity of the thousand-year-old Zen temple, making the Zen experience more complete. Relying on the elegant mountains and waters of Mount Emei and the profound Zen culture of Baoguo Temple, the Zen Hot Spring - Ten Directions Three Courtyards (Baoguo Temple, Mount Emei) offers a serene and elegant environment, attentive and considerate service, and an immersive Zen experience, making it an ideal choice for tourists visiting Mount Emei to escape the hustle and bustle, heal their bodies and minds, and experience Zen. Here, there is no need to deliberately seek, just calm down and you will find your own peace and freedom in the fusion of hot springs and Zen.

"My stay at Shifang Sanyuan Zen Hot Spring was absolutely perfect, I have to rave about it! The moment I walked in, the atmosphere was so peaceful. The courtyard is tranquil and elegant, with Zen-inspired touches everywhere, making evening strolls incredibly relaxing. The private hot spring was clean and comfortable, with the water temperature just right. After a soak, I felt completely soothed and all my travel fatigue melted away. A special shout-out to the front desk lady – she was so kind and thoughtful. Check-in was fast and efficient, and she thoughtfully explained how to use the hot spring and suggested nearby attractions. She patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions, her service was truly heartwarming. The room was spotless, well-equipped, quiet, and peaceful. It’s also very close to Baoguo Temple, making it convenient for getting around. Overall, it’s excellent value for money, perfect for a relaxing getaway or a short vacation. I’ve already recommended it to friends and will definitely be back!"

I spent two nights at this beautiful hotel, on a visit to Emeishan with my girlfriend. It was an amazing experience! First of all, the pick-up from the train station by the hotel owner was really a welcome touch — he helped us greatly throughout our stay, making sure we had the best possible experience in Emeishan. The room itself was beautiful — amazing views from our own private balcony; a very tasteful, new and comfortable interior; impeccably clean; and a great selection of fruit, snacks, etc. in the room. A beautiful and convenient location too. The breakfast was really good — lots of dishes, and both days were different. It was lovely to sit on the balcony in the morning, looking out at mountains, eating a delicious breakfast and drinking coffee. I would highly recommend visiting Emeishan itself, and I think this hotel is the perfect base for a trip there — the next day, we visited Leshan giant Buddha (not far away by train), before returning to Chengdu in the evening. Overall, a great place to stay, and I definitely want to visit again!

Everything was amazing from start to end. Our host picked us up from the train station and took us directly to the accomodation. He waited while we got changed to quickly shuttle us to the pickup area for the bus to the Golden Summit. At the end of the day, he was waiting for us to shuttle us back to the hotel. The hotel’s location is spectacular and our room was beautiful with an amazing view of the mountains. We ate dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. Breakfast, likewise, was really tasty. The staff really made us feel comfortable and were available to answer questions and provide suggestions at any time. Felt like a very luxurious stay.

Facilities: The bathroom has underfloor heating, and there's a dehumidifier next to the bathtub in the living room, which perfectly solves any dampness issues. Service: The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and kind to the children. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy, very satisfied with the bedding. Environment: The garden and pool view from the courtyard is excellent. Book Cafe: The biggest highlight is the book cafe which has picture books suitable for children; my five-and-a-half-year-old had a great time reading them. Welcome snacks: A generous combination of fruits and biscuits.

The hotel is located relatively near to Emeishan High Speed Rail Station and the hotel conveniently provides pick up and drop off service upon guests' request, though Mandarin communication skills may be required. It is however possible to contact the hotel through the Trip.com message portal to arrange the pick up service. The room was very pleasant and well furnished with amenities. My only gripe is the toiletries provided (soap, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion) are limited in small bottles and had to be carefully rationed. They also provide free breakfast which I found to be quite satisfactory, though don't expect a Western continental breakfast. Got to try chaoshou wontons and corn leaf wrapped Baba for the first time, so that was good. You can ask to copy Buddhist scripture in the dining hall or they can send the kit to your room at your leisure. The public hot spring was under maintenance, but it was satisfactory enough to use the private hot spring in my room. Overall a very lovely stay. Staff are also very helpful in recommending the sites, attractions, food and how to get around, though Mandarin again required.

A summer trip to Emei Mountain was made even better by this hot spring resort's ”Summer Adventure” experience – a perfect choice for families with kids! The moment you step into the hotel, you're captivated by its forest-like environment – the windows offer panoramic views of rolling green hills, and every breath is filled with the fresh scent of nature. Just a 10-minute walk from the scenic area entrance, you can easily return to the hotel for a relaxing soak in the cool spring pools after exploring the area with your kids, offering privacy and convenience. The biggest surprise was coinciding with the ”Summer Adventure” event! Saturday's hot spring fun was a paradise for the kids: water battles with splashing water, kayaking races for the whole family, and a ”South-to-North Water Diversion” game testing teamwork – the children were soaking wet from head to toe, yet still clamoring for ”one more round!” The butler service was impeccable: they proactively contacted us during booking, sending scenic area guides via WeChat; upon check-in, they provided children's slippers and mosquito repellent patches; and upon check-out, simply leave your room key in the room – completely freeing up your hands. The room has its own private hot spring bath. My skin felt so smooth after soaking in it. The butler told me that the hot spring water is radon from 3,000 meters underground, rich in 24 kinds of minerals. Even my fatigue was washed away.

Extremely satisfied with our trip! This hotel offers incredible value for money. We originally booked a Roman-themed room, but we arrived quite early, and our room wasn't ready yet. A staff member at the front desk named Wu Yujia kindly upgraded us to a balcony king room in the main building. She even added us on WeChat to keep us informed about the hotel's activity schedule and other details. The room was quite spacious. Although the hotel facilities looked a bit dated, they paid great attention to details; even the toothbrushes were of good quality, not the cheap kind. Just a heads-up: the outdoor hot springs only open after 1:30 PM. The hotel provides a shuttle bus service to and from the high-speed rail station, which is very convenient. From 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM, the restaurant also offers a late-night snack service – very thoughtful! We accidentally left our child's swimsuit in the changing room, and they were kind enough to keep it safe for us. When we checked out, they even gave us a souvenir. Overall, a very satisfying stay. The breakfast also featured Leshan's local specialties like tofu pudding and 'ka bing' (a type of flatbread).

Our stay at Wyndham Grand Emei was absolutely perfect for our Emei Mountain vacation. The hotel is situated right by the Emei River, and the water is crystal clear. The courtyard design creates a wonderful atmosphere. Our room was spacious and featured smart controls. It's very close to the Emei Mountain scenic area entrance, making hiking incredibly convenient. The butler service was attentive throughout our stay, and they were quick to respond to any requests. The breakfast selection was quite extensive. In our free time, we enjoyed walking and fishing along the river – it’s a quiet and relaxing escape from the city noise. It's a great spot for families and couples, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Emei Mountain.
