The hotel has a policy that guests must put out a 'clean my room' sign before 10 AM each day for full housekeeping. Otherwise, only towels and trash bags will be replaced. Even with full cleaning, it's just a basic tidying up; linens and pillowcases are not changed.

It's a bit far from Osaka JR Station, but you can get there directly via bus #88. There's a convenience store downstairs, but not many restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

There's a public bath (which is also open to the public, so it can get very crowded in the evenings). On the first floor, the lobby offers soda, coffee, and an ice machine for guests to use at any time."

"Overall, I felt this hotel was better than the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. I'm not sure why the Tokyo Imperial Hotel is always praised – is it just because of its grand lobby? The service in Osaka was excellent. Although the location is a bit out of the way, it offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. The staff in Tokyo felt less welcoming and a bit distant, even though they were polite. Here, however, there's a charming sense of rustic simplicity. They even upgraded one of our two rooms so we could be closer together. The amenity kit was also better than in Tokyo, where they didn't provide a skincare set."

"When we first arrived, we went through the wrong entrance, and the front desk staff came down to meet us. The location is excellent; you just cross a pedestrian bridge outside and you're at the subway station. The service was fantastic. We were even more pleasantly surprised when we entered the room—it's definitely a very spacious room for Japan. We had no problem opening all three of our suitcases. The room facilities are very comprehensive. Every day, housekeeping cleaned the room thoroughly and replenished everything. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we visit Osaka."

"- Spa was good, breakfast was good.
- Location was good; we could go shopping or eating outside easily. The area across the station felt a bit unsafe, and there were some homeless people around.
- Very clean floors in the entire building since everyone had to take off shoes at the lobby.
- After check-out, the hotel allows guests to store their luggage if guests stay on the premises to enjoy the spa. However, if guests leave the hotel after checkout and then return later, the hotel does not offer luggage storage. In that case, you have to use the coin lockers in front of the hotel. It was a bit inconvenient because I had to exchange money again to use the locker. That was the only inconvenience."

"This was the most satisfying hotel of my trip to Japan. First, the location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk to the subway station. It's also very close to Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. There's a hot spring on the top floor of the hotel, which is perfect for unwinding after a long day. Although the room isn't huge, it was still possible to open and lay flat two 28-inch suitcases, which is decent, even if it can't compare to hotels back home."

"Newly opened hotel so it's clean and facilities are nice. Body towel, face towel, pajamas, room slippers, hair dryer, and plastics are provided.
There's a sento, sauna, and a gym. Facilities are separated by gender. Easy checkin and checkout. Hotel is easy to find via Google Maps. JR Hanwa Line and Osaka Metro Midosuji Line are close by so that's easy access to the airport (one transfer but no need to change platforms) and central Osaka. Not a touristy location so it's peaceful, not many shops around, but there are restaurant options nearby. There's also a 7/11 beside the hotel. Would stay again."

"We stayed two nights at this hotel near Namba Dotonbori. It was wonderful to relax in a warm hot spring bath after a long day of exploring. After the bath, they provided ice cream and yogurt, and after 9:30 PM, they also provided complimentary Japanese ramen, which was delicious. The staff were all friendly, and the beds were comfortable, so we slept well. Next time I visit Namba, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again."

"After some positive experience from their Tokyo branches, I decided to try Grand Prince Osaka Bay during my stay in Osaka. There is a shuttle bus from Kansai International Airport directly to the hotel, there are buses from the hotel to Osaka station and it's within walking distance to ATC, Cosmosquare and Nakafuto (the closest) metro stations. The hotel is perfect if you plan to catch a ferry or if you want to be away from the busy areas of Osaka. The environment is spacious, with a few restaurants, cafes, and a shop to plan weddings. The hotel overall is clean and the staff are attentive. Highly recommend!"

"Considering Japanese standards, the room size was quite good. We could comfortably open both a 28-inch and a 20-inch suitcase after shifting the table and chairs. The room was clean, and the complimentary toiletries were nice. While the towels were thinner than what we're used to in Chinese hotels, they were perfectly sufficient and spotless. The hotel's location is undoubtedly its biggest asset; getting to Universal Studios Japan and Umeda was both fast and incredibly convenient. There are plenty of dining options and convenience stores right downstairs, plus a supermarket not too far away. Highly recommended!"

The service was exceptional; I didn't have to lift a finger with my luggage from the moment I stepped out of the car. The check-in process was a delightful, seated Japanese-style experience. Hotel staff personally escorted me to my room. This will definitely be my first choice again next time I visit Japan.

JJamieeeeeeeeMy husband and I came to Osaka, Japan, for the third leg of our honeymoon shopping trip! We booked a Fantastic Suite at the W, and the location was superb – very close to Dotonbori, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient.
The hotel knew it was our honeymoon and thoughtfully prepared small desserts and a greeting card in our room beforehand. They even surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade during check-in, which was absolutely delightful.
The suite itself was very spacious, boasting 180-degree corner floor-to-ceiling windows that offered stunning views, whether during the day or at night. The hotel is a striking black building, quite prominent in Osaka, and even the bathrobes were black. Our room was immaculately cleaned every day, and they also provided us with W's special facial masks.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, always ready to help with a warm smile. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to transportation and nearby attractions.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay and truly great value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return again.

33001152460I was a bit worried after reading some reviews, but I decided to book it anyway because of the location, and I'm so glad I did! The rooms are big and clean, and housekeeping is very quick and efficient. The location is fantastic, right opposite Daimaru. Once you get your bearings, you can get to Hankyu via the underground passage really quickly without having to go above ground at all, which is also great for places like LUCUA and GRAND FRONT. A taxi to the Glico Man sign in Shinsaibashi and the Kani Doraku main branch only cost 2400 JPY. The only minor issue was that I booked two rooms and specifically requested no corner rooms, but we ended up with one at each end of the hallway. Luckily, the elevator to the first room requires a turn, so we weren't disturbed by any noise at night. The breakfast isn't super extensive, but it has all the essentials, so overall I'm very satisfied.

MmendongmeiDormy Inn is always a top choice for us when we travel to Japan. Practically every time we visit, we first check the location and prices of Dormy Inn hotels. We've stayed at this specific hotel and its chain many times. The hotel offers smoking rooms, microwaves, ice machines, a laundry room, and natural hot springs. On the first floor, there's a beverage bar where you can help yourself to coffee, matcha, and chocolate drinks. Toiletries like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs are also readily available. You can pack light when traveling here; the hotel truly takes care of guests' needs very well. The complimentary soy sauce ramen served from 9:30 PM to 11 PM is also quite tasty; they don't skimp on quality just because it's free, it's consistently good. We'll definitely prioritize staying at this hotel again on our future trips to Japan.

There are three types of steam rooms, a circular shower, and three baths:
two hot ones at around 41°C, and one cold shock bath at around 11°C.
You dip in and instantly feel alive.
One unique feature — every hour they run a group steam ritual, like a collective massage & heat therapy session. Very Japanese, and surprisingly affordable. Definitely worth trying.
There’s also an inexpensive breakfast option, plus vending machines with food and drinks right inside — very convenient.
Overall, it’s a men-only vibe: arrive, clean up, relax, reset, and go about your day.
The capsule is just a bonus on top of the sauna experience.
They give you clothing — not a robe, but loose Japanese pants and an oversized T-shirt.
You get your own locker, bedding and clothes are changed daily, and the bathrooms have literally everything: toothbrush, toothpaste, gels, shampoo… even nail clippers. You don’t need to bring anything.
Location is fantastic — right next to Dotonbori. Step outside and you’re instantly in the heart of Osaka’s nightlife and energy.
Downsides?
A strict checkout — you must leave at 10:00 AM, and check-in starts only after 3:00 PM.
If you want to stay during that gap, it’s around 300 yen per hour, or ~900 yen for the day.
Still — great experience. I always wanted to try a real Japanese capsule stay.
Inside the capsule there’s a TV, radio, adjustable lights, and AC — though it blasts pretty strongly, so I turned it off.

GGuest UserExcellent location, just two minutes away from subway station but in a quiet area away from the noise of the city. Lots of places to eat nearby. Friendly and helpful staff who helped me to book my reservation for Tiananmen Square.
I booked a 4 bed female dorm - the room was fairly small but there was large lockers so the small room wasn't really an issue and it was only fully occupied on my last night.
The beds are SOOOO HARD!! The mattress itself is soft but it's so thin that you feel like you're sleeping on the floor. It seems to be the same everywhere in China that I stayed but it's definitely worth mentioning. The bathroom was clean, toilet roll was provided and there was individual lights and power switches for the beds. The aircon (i think) was very noisy and it sounded like there was a constant dripping, as if someone had not closed the shower fully but seemed to be coming from the ceiling. There was no leak but just the noise. The beds move quite a lot when someone in the top bunk moves so that can wake you up if you're a light sleeper and the corridors smell of cigarette smoke.
Lovely rooftop area and free laundry which is a huge bonus and very convenient.
I'd definitely recommend as a base for exploring the city for a couple of days although I probably wouldn't stay again only because the beds were too hard for me.
