In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic.

"Wonderful service - guard and porter at the front, efficient front desk, upgraded to a Nile room. Pool side was great with a view of the Nile, plenty of chairs and fresh towels,  although bar staff sometimes a little slow on drink and food refills this could be forgiven Buffet breakfast had a good selection including eggs made to order, staff very attentive Dinner selection was OK but again great service "

"Wonderful, friendly service at a very reasonable price. A beautiful location with a beautiful view. The only downside is that you do have to walk to access downtown, which isn’t *too* big a problem unless you come in the middle of summer when it’s scorching hot and walking anywhere will drain you of energy very quickly! I absolutely recommend staying here and if I return to Aswan, I will almost certainly stay at this hotel."

Nubian House on elephantine island

"It is located in Nubian Village on the Nile River. You can travel to and from the main island by public ferry for 10 Egyptian pounds. It seems that they offer a free ferry at any time for check-in and check-out. Also, Baky, who helped us, was quick to respond and very helpful! We were able to ask anything and he was flexible, so we had no trouble staying there. Also, unlike the main island, the people in Nubian Village don't tout, and the children are adorable, so it was a really relaxing place. Please come and visit."

"Absolutely a five-star review! Located diagonally opposite the Old Falls Hotel, the terrace offers stunning views, and the owner is incredibly friendly and responsible! Two things stand out: First, around 2 AM, I texted the owner to arrange a ferry to the other side at 3 AM, and he replied within two minutes, having already made arrangements! Second, my sister left her pearl necklace on the public terrace while enjoying the Nile River view the previous evening, and the next morning we found it neatly arranged! Truly honest and kind! The following evening, we witnessed a local Luwak wedding – a joyous and authentic traditional experience, a delightful surprise!"

The Basma Hotel Aswan is one of the newest hotels in Aswan, having been renovated in 2023. With Aswan just 3km away and Aswan International Airport only 19km away, transportation is very convenient. This hotel is located near many of Aswan's attractions including Masjed Alnasr, Isis Temple and Hotel Old Cataract. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. For guests traveling with groups of friends, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"I initially booked a guesthouse in Aswan, but the environment there was unbearable. So I immediately booked this hotel. The hotel is located on high ground, right next to the Old Falls Hotel, with a great view. It's an established hotel, popular with Europeans and Americans, but also quite popular with Chinese tourists. The room's decor is a bit dated, but it's clean, the air conditioning is powerful, and the space is ample. Traveling independently in Egypt isn't easy, so getting a good rest here is very important to me."

The Pyramisa Island Hotel Aswan provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Aswan will find that the Pyramisa Island Hotel Aswan is a fantastic accommodation choice. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Aswan located approximately 4km away and Aswan International Airport roughly 20km away. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Hotel Old Cataract, Temple of Khnum and Elephantine all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This hotel is a popular accommodation for groups of friends traveling together.

"When I read the reviews, I wasn’t sure if I should stay here—but in the end, I’m so grateful I made this amazing decision. I was traveling alone and prefer a slower pace rather than rushing from one tourist spot to another. I originally booked for three days but ended up extending my stay by one more night because I absolutely loved the environment here. Transportation: If you’re using INDRIVE, the correct location to input is Pyramisa Isis Island pick-up point. However, on Google Maps, you can also navigate to Travel with Weso—it’s the same place. From there, wait for the shuttle boat, which comes about every 10 minutes. The ride to the hotel takes around 7 minutes. During my stay, I visited Abu Simbel Temple and Philae Temple, but you need to first take the shuttle boat back to the city to start those trips. Service: Huge thanks to Manager Christine. After a 12-hour train ride to get here, her warm smile and kind service made me feel instantly at home. She arranged an early check-in and even upgraded my room to one with a beautiful balcony overlooking the Nile. The front desk staff were also incredibly friendly. The whole experience was so touching that on my last night, I had tears in my eyes as I passed the reception. They noticed, and when I got back to my room, I received a call just to check in on me. During breakfast, the servers were attentive and often engaged in light conversation, which made the whole experience feel warm and relaxing. Facilities: As mentioned in other reviews, the facilities are a bit dated. But in my personal experience, the cleanliness was acceptable. Previously, I stayed in a Pyramid View room at Mena House in Cairo, and honestly, I found the cleanliness to be similar. Perhaps it wasn’t great in the past, but maybe they’ve improved. The breakfast is buffet-style with a modest but sufficient variety: about 5–6 types of bread, a salad section, hot dishes, and beverages. Sailing Experience: This was the highlight of my stay, and I highly recommend it. Ask for Captain SAFI—a reliable and professional Nubian sailor. You can find him right next to the hotel’s dock, so there’s no need to go all the way into town to book a sailboat. These boats serve only hotel guests, so the service quality is excellent. Just agree on a price you’re comfortable with—there’s no hard selling. Even better, they are happy to tailor the experience to your preferences, including timing and what kind of scenery you’d like to see. I love the Nile, so I ended up doing four days of sailing. • On the first day, I enjoyed a one-hour sunset cruise. • On the second day, I swam in the shallow waters of the Nile for two hours, then visited a Nubian village, returning to watch the sunset on the river. • On the third day, Captain SAFI introduced me to beautiful water-bound trees and I swam again. I later found out they even offer full-day trips where you can drift along the Nile on the sailboat—but sadly, I was about to leave. These few days were deeply immersive and serene. The gentle, peaceful Nile has become one of the most special and unforgettable memories of my life. I’m especially thankful to the thoughtful Captain SAFI for such a wonderful experience. ⭐️ I hope those of you choosing to stay here will fully experience the magic of the Nile. Wishing you all peace and joy. I truly hope to return again someday."

The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Soma family house, Desert Nile Aswan view point and Nubian Village Aswan. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Aswan hotel features parking on site. "Very friendly and responsible front desk! Because the driver temporarily increased the price, the front desk has always cared about our safety, and even negotiated with the driver for a long time. Finally, we sent a car to pick us up to the hotel. The scenery is beautiful. There is a market nearby. It is a collection of eating, drinking and playing. There is no problem in staying for two or three days. Wash the soul. The front desk can also help to book boats, sailing boats and cars, the price is very affordable! The only thing to note is that there is a group of dogs next to the hotel. People who are afraid of dogs recommend staying in a river view room, because they will stay in the main hotel, there is a very cute kitten! If you live in a common room, you must often pass by the road in the dog stronghold, which is a very test of courage."

"We had an absolutely AMAZING TIME! From our airport pick up (which I recommend). Even though it was 2am we were still greeted with fantastic Hibiscus tea from Edres he was fantastic. We were shown around even at that time. In the morning we asked for a call to see the sunrise and that was fantastic as well. In the morning we had a great typical breakfast and then a fantastic tour as well. Rowan and Aya also were wonderful. I would recommend this place to see the true Aswan and tour the Nubian Village. Also, the lunch was fantastic as well. Next time we want to spend more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay."

YYanglaodaKAfter my luggage was lost, the staff at the Old Cataract Hotel went above and beyond to help me find it. On the first night, without my suitcase, they even provided many daily necessities (double sets of t-shirts, socks, spray, and other essentials). I was truly touched. The hotel manager who greeted us told us he loves Chinese people, and he didn't just say it; he proved it with his actions! ^_^ It truly lives up to its century-old reputation; it's so impressive. It's not just the beautiful scenery but also the hotel's culture. Every staff member's smiling service and simple Chinese greetings made me feel completely at home! This trip to Egypt, I met many wonderful people, but also some terrible scammers. I also experienced EgyptAir's 100% flight delays and frequently lost passenger luggage... A fall into the pit, a gain in your wit. Next time, I'll know better what to look out for.

KKIT YINGThe scenery is beautiful. We checked in very late and took a boat to see the lights of the entire island. It was really beautiful. The room and surrounding facilities were not old. There are also many beautiful cats in the hotel restaurant. I felt relaxed as soon as I entered the island. The scenery was even more beautiful in the morning. The terrace of the room faced the Temple of Philae. I regretted that my stay was too short and I didn’t enjoy it properly. I highly recommend everyone to stay here. But please note that there is a construction site expansion nearby, so it may be noisy, but I believe the scenery will be more beautiful after the renovation.

YYilmaz KalafatogluHIGHLY RECOMMENDED! First of all it is like a staying with your family far from home, in a very tourist welcoming area in general but also the hotel. All Nubian people are welcoming and honest; especially if you are coming from somewhere other than Egypt you will feel refreshed getting rid of bargaining. Hotel arranged an Abu Simbel transportation (which was 3 hours away)with lunch box for us early in the morning at 04:00 am we came back around 1 pm and take a tour to Philae Temple then came back to hotel (which was our cozy home) and Ahmed took us to village as a local, guided as and provided fair prices, we experienced their culture seeing the magnificently painted surroundings also jumping in local houses with tortoise and crocodiles, and they have provided us transportation to Aswan Train Station. I even felt sad because of leaving a place with full of brothers. Thanks to Ahmed (both), Ms Mai, Mohammed and Islam. It was an amazing experience, you shall not say i’ve visited Egypt before seeing Nubian Village.

ZZhaoyikuI booked a club and was given a hotel upon check-in. They seem to be the same hotel. Let me start with the positives: the setting is nice. The hotel is located on a hilltop, offering views of Aswan's nightscape and the Nile River. It has a swimming pool and a massive 40-square-meter terrace. The front desk staff was very welcoming, and the breakfast was also good. The negatives are that the room facilities are quite dated, resembling a county party committee guesthouse from the 1980s in China. The air conditioner is very noisy and stops when set to low, while the noise is very loud when set to medium. The shower is spotty, and the Wi-Fi is poor. For over 900 yuan a day, you'll have to decide for yourself whether it's worth it.

XXuedingebueThis hotel is very good, why are there so many bad reviews? The hotel manager personally took me to check in, and the tipping was free when I took the boat to the island. The environment on the island was quiet, and the rooms were a little old but quite standard. The Mena Palace in Cairo was about the same level. Overall it was very good, especially the Nile view room in the new building facing the east, where you can see the sunrise, which was beautiful! Some people who booked basic rooms to save money were arranged to stay in the old building with those money-sucking study tour groups. They felt uncomfortable staying there, which was normal~

JjzycnThis is a very contradictory B&B hotel that I don't know if it is worth recommending. Its shortcomings and advantages are very prominent. It is suitable for Internet celebrities to make photos (the following photos are all original photos without retouching), but it is not suitable for anyone who has certain requirements for ”accommodation” itself. If you can find any cheap + clean + similar scenery alternative hotel, it is recommended to change it, but if it is just for taking pictures and scenery, it may be ranked at the top in Nubian Village. First of all, you have to be able to tolerate: 1. The hotel price is not cost-effective in the peak season, and the B&B offers the price of a five-star hotel. 2. Poor room facilities, rough-style furniture and narrow rooms, worrying bed sheets, bathroom shower water overflowing and drainage is useless, no slippers, toothbrushes, hair dryers (phone front desk can provide). 3. The breakfast is self-service and extremely simple and unpalatable, unlike some people who commented on the set and inexplicably praised it. 4. Tolerate or pay more to continue to tolerate the complaints of the chartered driver to drive into Nubian Village, and then contact the hotel by yourself in the middle of the night to change to a three-wheeled motorcycle in the deserted and dark mountains for 15 minutes to doubt life and reach the mountaintop hotel. 5. Other prices are very unreasonable. We originally wanted to book dinner for the New Year's Eve party, but it cost 100 US dollars per person... What did we get here? 1. The balcony of the room can see the unbeatable sunrise on the west bank of the Nile. We witnessed the first light of 2025 here at 6 am. 2. The various poses in the cultural buildings of the Nubian Village are very photogenic. 3. The desert next to the hotel is very photogenic. 4. A very special cultural experience of a group of tourists jumping up and down the mountain in a row of three-wheeled vehicles. 5. The hotel service staff is relatively friendly. Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay.

KKapoerdaierA friend of mine went to Nubian with a tour group before and felt that it was not fun and the conditions were primitive, but the experience of traveling independently is completely different. It is like drinking water for a pony crossing the river. We all have the experience of staying in luxury hotels. This time, I mustered up the courage to travel instead of vacation, hoping to experience the local customs and customs to a certain extent, and to see the world from a different perspective... My phone fell, and the Tuktuk guy immediately took it back to find it. The kind Nubian girl reminded me in time to prevent me from losing my passport. The phone fell at the counter at the airport and was promptly informed by the kind ground staff... Basam of the hotel helped us arrange a chartered boat from the east bank of the Nile to the hotel directly after going down the river for dozens of minutes. I watched the moon and stars on the top of the boat, and drifted on the quiet Nile River under the moonlight. These are special experiences that are not available on XHS... There is also Nubian dance in the hotel at night! The breakfast is also rich and the scenery is beautiful! Breakfast on the Nile!

JJoshDBWIt’s a 2 sided coin with this hotel, some positives and some negatives in all areas. Location is very close to the Nile river and train station which is convenient but the balcony of our hotel room looked out on some garbage tipping sights that were always crazy busy with construction, wild dogs barking, and Islamic prayers blaring from speakers until the early hours. The service at reception was okay depending on who was there at the time and they did organise the trip to Abu Simbel on a day’s notice. The wifi never worked but the room was clean and comfortable enough. Overall, not bad price for the room - reconsider using if you have trouble sleeping with loud noises or need wifi.
