"The hotel is comfortable and clean, and it is quite quiet. The location is a bit far from the ancient city, but the taxi is not expensive. You can get to the ancient city for 20 yuan. The surrounding facilities of the hotel are also quite complete, there is a big supermarket, and McDonald's."

A delicious Moroccan dinner is available – you can reserve it for a specific time for an additional fee. The host is always available and ready to help. If you need to leave early, they offer breakfast to go. A most pleasant experience. Thank you!"

"A wonderful riada in Medina Fesa! The hosts are very caring, everything is made for the comfort of the guests. Air conditioning, cleanliness, coloring the east in all the room decoration! Excellent spent two days, incredibly delicious home cooking, luxurious view on the terrace! The only nuance is separate from the shower room, but in general it is more specific to the Riada itself, we didn't stop. There is a parking nearby. Thanks to the hosts for such a warm reception!"

"A Worry-Free and Heartwarming Accommodation Experience in the Ancient Town This accommodation deserves full marks! When we arrived, the roads in the ancient town were closed, and we couldn't drive in. The owner proactively contacted us, explained the situation carefully, and waited at the intersection beforehand, patiently guiding us to the guesthouse on foot. Communication was timely and courteous. The guesthouse itself was a pleasant surprise. It was spotless and very clean, with a beautiful and comfortable overall environment. The owner also warmly led us to the rooftop terrace, showing us the view and offering to take photos for us – truly thoughtful. The breakfast on the second day was a highlight – simple yet delicious, especially the owner's fried eggs, which were excellent. What reassured us most was a small incident after check-out. We accidentally left our credit card and some personal toiletries in the room and later went back to retrieve them. The owner had already carefully tidied everything up and kept them safe for us, allowing us to retrieve them smoothly. This responsible attitude made us feel very reliable. Overall, it was a smooth-communication, comfortable, and reassuring experience. The owner is polite and helpful, and the guesthouse is clean and tidy, with attention to detail evident in every aspect. Highly recommended!"

"This is a hidden gem of Fes 😍 we were very well treated and the room is cosy and beautiful. The shower head needs something to hold it in place so water does not splash all around but apart from that everything else was perfect. The night receptionist was amazing to make us some breakfast bags for our early trip the next day, and he helped with a taxi and all. My friend has done the hamman and loved it. Well recommended!"

"We were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Volubilis. We hesitated to book the hotel because of some bad reviews about not having hot water and the staff being unfriendly (especially to Asians). But we decided to book anyways because of its location and quite affordable price. We were arriving to Fez at around 5pm, and we were told staying at the Medina wouldn't be worth it. Since we were catching a flight the next morning, we thought it would be more convenient to stay in the new city. So, despite some of the bad reviews, we decided to spend the night at Hotel Volubilis. Its location turned out to be great. It's right at the center and by the main avenue. There are lots of places to eat at walking distance and there are several Carrefours closeby also at walking distance. The staff was nice and they welcomed us well and took our request for a taxi to the airport in the morning. So, we have no complaints about the staff. Our room was big with a terrace. The room was old but clean. The terrace had no table or chairs, but it was okay. The bathroom was also big and we had no issues with the hot water. We showered at arrival and in the morning and water was hot and with pressure. The thing that we missed the most in the room was a fridge. Other than that, all good and acceptable. Though we agree with the other comments saying that this is not a 4-star hotel by ”global” standards."
