"I stayed here for a business trip. The staff at the entrance were incredibly polite and left a great impression. The lady at the front desk was also very thorough during check-in. The room itself was spotless, from the amenities to the bed, sofa, desk, and even the view. While the building isn't brand new, you can really feel the thoughtful hospitality extended to guests. Plus, having direct access to Junction City shopping mall with a supermarket made souvenir shopping incredibly convenient. There were also plenty of affordable and high-quality foot massage places just a 5-minute walk away. I had a really comfortable stay during my business trip and would definitely use this hotel again for future business travel."

"Nice hotel, a 17-minute walk to Shwedagon Pagoda. Be more selective with your room choice upon arrival, as on the first night, my friend and I were given a ground-floor room with a view of pipes, a single bed, and a narrow toilet. After I requested a change, we were moved to a room one floor up, with two beds and a view of the neighboring rooftops. The staff are friendly and attentive; they'll help with any extra requests and you can store your luggage for free. Breakfast is a bit sparse, no boiled eggs, but otherwise, it's decent for an Asian-style breakfast. Be prepared for crows to swoop in on your food if you step away from the table, though the staff are on guard!"

"Service is quite bad. I am a local and and I feel like the hotel staff doesn’t give a **** to local. They only favour the foreigners.Service wise including both front house and F&B. I don’t want to give even two star for service. Better improve such kind of discrimination mindset to locals. I wasn’t even served by welcome drink. Such a bad experience due to poor customer service. Totally deviated from my expectations and disappointed. Service wise should learn from three star hotels Haha. There was only one shower robe🫩"

"The style is bulky and crude; the lack of cleanliness isn't entirely the hotel's fault—the surrounding area is too dirty. The room is ridiculously large, a waste of such a spacious area."

"Other than an encounter from kitchen staff during breakfast, everything was fine. During breakfast, soup was cold and I saw no fire below the pot. I just had the cold Mont Hinn Garr and thought that I was late. After that, I went for a cup of tea and saw one kitchen staff near the pot, I told him that the soup was cold and no fire below the pot, he just gave me a blurred look and no reply at all. 😂😂 After that I went and looked, the pot was warm and there was fire again. At least, please train your staff to reply to customers if there is any feedback which may be right or wrong. In the end, Novotel is an international hotel chain and brand name trusted by customers and expectations are there."

"Conveniently located near the airport, this is one of Myanmar's most luxurious hotels, situated right by the lake, which is lovely. The breakfast spread is generous, and the 'shaomai' (dumplings) are particularly delicious. They often host various events, and the lakeside bar has a great atmosphere."

"I had originally planned to stay for two nights, but I needed to cancel my second night. The staff were very understanding and accommodating, which I really appreciated. The room was simple and functional. There was nothing particularly luxurious, but it had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious considering the size of the room. I also enjoyed the view from the room. Breakfast was good, and the hotel itself was very clean and well organized. The highlight of my stay was definitely the staff. Even when there was a language barrier, they made a genuine effort to communicate and help in any way they could. Their friendliness and professionalism made a very positive impression. Overall, this is a clean, practical hotel with excellent service, and I would recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable stay in Yangon."
