"Cleanliness: Being on the first floor near the pool, there were quite a few insects, and the hotel didn't provide any mosquito repellent, which was a bit disappointing. I guess it's on par with guesthouses and hotels in mainland China. Facilities: After spending time at the beach, I went directly to the pool. Many areas around the pool were quite slippery, and it felt like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time, so it wasn't particularly clean. Service: The hotel didn't provide disposable toiletries like toothbrushes or toothpaste, which is a big deal. Also, the hotel is a bit far from 7-Eleven, so you'd need to ride a scooter for about 7 minutes to buy toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other necessities. There's a small snack shop about a two to three-minute scooter ride from the hotel, which offers good value for money. The hotel does provide scooters for rent at 300 THB, and the price isn't negotiable. However, the average price for scooters on the street is around 200 THB. If convenience is key, renting from the hotel is an option, but if you want to save money, you can ask around on the street for a 200 THB rental. For water activities, always remember to bargain; cutting the price in half is usually a good strategy."

"Facilities: The facilities were excellent and well-equipped. Our room came with a hairdryer, and there was even a hammock right outside, which was a lovely touch! Cleanliness: The hygiene was impeccable. The housekeeping staff cleaned daily and were so considerate, even wearing slippers when entering the room. Ambiance: The ambiance was fantastic. We were here six months ago, stayed in the same resort, and deliberately came back again. Consistency matters, and Tawaen Beach Resort delivers it every single time. The staff are outstanding — professional, genuinely kind, attentive, and always accommodating. You feel welcomed, respected, and taken care of from the moment you arrive. The food and coffee pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to neighboring resorts where prices feel exaggerated and borderline absurd. Here, you actually feel you’re getting value without being taken advantage of. Cleanliness deserves special mention. The hygiene standards are truly top-tier resort level — rooms, lobby, common areas — everything is spotless and well maintained. This is something many resorts on the island fail at, even if they look nice on the outside. Location? Simply unbeatable. You step out of the resort and within seconds, you’re standing in front of a magical turquoise-blue sea and perfectly clean, soft white sand — genuinely one of the best beach fronts in Koh Larn. They have beach lounges and chairs where you can relax all day, and the beach staff constantly adjust the umbrellas as the sun moves — a small detail that makes a huge difference. Service is attentive without being intrusive. What truly impressed us: Over the past few weeks, we met multiple couples (not one, not two — FOUR) who stayed at nearby resorts and had nightmare experiences — poor hygiene, bad rooms, disappointing service. After visiting our room, lobby, and seeing the standards at Tawaen Beach Resort, they immediately canceled their bookings and rebooked here. That alone speaks volumes. We live just outside Pattaya and come to Koh Larn almost every month. One thing is absolutely certain: We will never stay anywhere else. Ever. The pricing is very fair, especially compared to the nonsense prices next door that don’t deliver even half the quality. Try this place once — and you’re hooked for life. We proudly consider ourselves lifetime clients. Couldn’t ask for better. Period."

"Cute hotel with a good view on the sea. Nice rooms but you can hear the people walk by and the room darkness isn’t really good if you want to sleep late in the morning. Breakfast served directly in the room around 9am. Unfortunately the taste wasn’t really good. Our stay was positive in general!"

"This isn't just a hotel, it's a fairytale! I'm absolutely thrilled. First off, it's the most beautiful hotel on the island (we explored the whole thing, there are a couple of other nice ones, but this one is the most stylish). The view from the window is unreal, facing the sunrise and you can even see Pattaya). The room has absolutely everything you could need: even a comb and cotton swabs! The mini-bar is lovely with amazing coffee and tea. The bathtub is huge, bigger than it looks in photos! Secondly, the breakfasts. Oh my goodness, they're incredible – huge and unbelievably delicious! The hotel also has a quality wine list (a good selection, and they even keep them in a special wine fridge). The hotel's location is also fantastic; you can walk to any beach if you want, or take a scooter (by the way, you can rent scooters and golf carts from the hotel). All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It's genuinely the best hotel I've ever stayed in!"

"Atmosphere: The hotel faces the street, and the hum of motorcycles is heard day and night. Are there any hotels or restaurants nearby? They blast music until midnight every night and start again at 6:00 AM. It's the kind of loud boomboxes that bend and bang, making it incredibly loud and unnerving. Service: The service was excellent. Although the waiters didn't understand Chinese, they provided mobile phone translation and answered questions. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was only acceptable. I'm not particular about travel, but it's not as good as a Home Inn in China. Facilities: There's a shuttle service from the pier to the hotel. Morning options include pork meatball congee or poached eggs with bread, but only coffee, no other drinks. Amenity 2: The air conditioner and refrigerator in the room were very noisy, and the plugs in the room were not user-friendly. I had to wake up to charge my phone before returning to bed. Additional: The balcony roof was made of tin sheets. When it rained at night, I thought there were wild animals outside, howling. It was so loud, like a typhoon."

"I can't understand how this hotel got such a high rating. They don't respond to emails. They don't answer questions on the Trip.com chat. Our booking was mixed up. We booked a 'Sweet' room, but they had us down for a 'DeLuxe' for some reason. The price was roughly the same when we booked. We asked to switch rooms (at check-in) and were moved from DeLuxe #3 to Sweet #2 for an additional 700 baht! I then asked to change from room #2 to #1. They said it was already booked. I pointed out that when booking, you only select the room type, not a specific room number. They got flustered... but still insisted that room #2 was the only option. For anyone booking: the best rooms with views from the window and the top deck are DeLuxe #1 and Sweet #1. The room wasn't clean; there was trash lying around. An empty chip bag was in the bin. This isn't just dirtiness – it's an indicator of poor standards. There was a used towel on the hanger. No bathrobes were provided. The top floor was sandy everywhere, including on the sun loungers. I guess they're trying to create a beach atmosphere :) The windows were dirty. The bathtub was worn. The air conditioning was noisy. They only give you one key card. If you leave the card in the slot when you step out of the room (e.g., to your own top floor), the door locks behind you (and you can't open it from the outside). If you take the card out, when you close the door, the electricity cuts off, with all the consequences – AC turns off, phones stop charging, etc. I asked for a second key card, but they refused. This is just ridiculous... they're cutting corners on AC... and on their reputation. As an option, you could bring an extension cord and plug it into the 'refrigerator' outlet :) Seriously... it's the 21st century. Overall, it's a so-so hotel. For this price, I think there are much better options. Its location, yes, is good. I understand the laid-back nature of the Thais, but there's a limit. I don't want to stress out on vacation, and who does! So, weighing all the pros and cons, the cons definitely outweigh the pros. I don't know about you, but we are definitely not coming back here. Especially for that money... there are genuinely decent options nearby. And my peace of mind is more important! Breakfasts... were decent. There's a tasty build-your-own soup with a rice base and meat (meatballs), mushrooms, various toppings, etc. A small bowl of fruit and a tiny bowl of yogurt with 3-4 blueberries and 2-3 kiwi slices. They also bring a plated portion with an omelet or two fried eggs, two sausages, two pieces of bacon, two small triangular pieces of sausage, etc. Overall, breakfast was more or less okay. There were no issues with the transfer from the hotel to Na Ban Pier. We took the ferry departing at 9:30 AM. The trip to Bali Hai Pier took 30 minutes. After a couple of ferries sank, they now seem to be counting passengers and trying to avoid overloading."

"Clean and decorated in a 'Moroccan' style. Everything is white, which looks fantastic against the blue sky and blue views. The rooms are well-equipped with everything you need, including a good knife/bottle opener, glasses, and a complimentary minibar. I did miss having a chair, as the table was too low and uncomfortable to use. Also, the hot and cold water in the shower was reversed, but that's pretty much the only downside. Oh, and the safe was a joke; ours didn't work, so a girl from reception came, took it away, and brought a new one. It weighed about 3 kg! The location is superb. In the evenings, we sometimes walked to the market for food. Prawns were 420 baht per kilo, plus 80 baht for cooking – very tasty and fresh. If you walk about 80 meters further from the market, the prawns are about 10% cheaper, and you can sit at tables to eat."
