"As a backpacker, I've traveled to many places, but this spot truly made me feel at home. The rooms were spotless and the bedding was incredibly soft against the skin. At night, you literally fall asleep to the sound of the waves, which is fantastic for anyone with trouble sleeping. The rooftop viewing deck even thoughtfully provides cooking utensils, perfect for those who aren't used to local cuisine and want to cook their own meals. They even offer free eggs for guests like me who prefer a milk and bread breakfast, so you can fry your own! The owner, in particular, is incredibly warm and attentive, always ready to answer any questions or requests from guests. My experience on Koh Larn these past few days has been the best since I started my Pattaya vacation. The fine white sand beaches, the jelly-colored sea, and the friendly guesthouse owner all left a deep impression on me. If I ever come back to Koh Larn, I'll definitely choose to stay here again. Goodbye, my friends on Koh Larn!"

"The property is centrally located on the island. Motorbikes are available for rent at 300 THB, though the one we received seemed to have been in a prior accident, making it difficult to ride as it constantly pulled to the left. The location is convenient, with restaurants within walking distance, and a shuttle service is also provided.
The bedroom and bathroom were clean, but the bathroom did have a slight drain odor. The room itself had no offensive smell, but wasn't particularly fresh-smelling either. The bathroom floor was quite slippery, so caution was needed when walking. The wall-mounted shower had very weak water pressure; a standard shower head would be a significant improvement. Interestingly, the water pressure at the sink and from the bidet sprayer was strong.
The room lighting was rather dim and yellowish. The TV was unusable due to intermittent signal (this was in our family room).
Breakfast included congee, bread, coffee, and Ovaltine."

"The room was quite spacious for two people. While the amenities were a bit dated, they were perfectly functional. The bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area and was quite clean.
We ended up staying for about 4 days. We had initially planned to stay only two days and then move to another hotel, but we found it so comfortable that we decided to extend our stay. We didn't encounter any mosquitoes during our entire stay, but be warned that sweets will definitely attract ants.
The shower had great water pressure and the water temperature was just right. Overall, I'd give it a 5-star rating. It was also very quiet. We opted to clean the room ourselves and didn't request housekeeping services, which enhanced our sense of privacy.
On our departure day, the hotel staff proactively offered to drive us to the pier, which was an incredibly thoughtful gesture. The owner was very courteous, though we only met them a few times during our stay. We would definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit."

"We booked the hotel for a night as we needed a day of from bkk .
The hotel had a pick up service from the pier just give them a call and then there gonna pick u up , when we got to the hotel there informed us the rules the staff was nice and helpful also we could rent a motorbike from them which is 300 thb per day
The rooms are acctuly nice but it just open a few months ago the toilets were a bit dirty the showehead was rusted the fridge had a lot of ants .. when we stayed there it was rainy season wich made the alarm set off from the door alll the night wich was very annoying as we couldn sleep at all
Breakfast was just a ok couple of eggs and toast and sausage
When next morning we’re telling the receptionist all we got was just a sorry for the broken alarm as she say it’s normal cause it’s raining season .. really should improve in that

"I really like this resort. When you arrive at the pier, there is a shuttle bus to take you to the hotel. The room looks beautiful no matter how you take photos. It faces the beach. In the morning, someone will bring breakfast directly to your room. The portion is large and you can't finish it. You can rent a scooter from the hotel. It is also very quiet at night without any noise. The bed is also comfortable. However, because you are outdoors, you have to bring your own mosquito repellent. You can watch the sunrise directly in the morning. I would like to come again next time."

"Came to Thailand for 8 days and stayed in 7 hotels! This time I have to give a good review. Breakfast is provided at this price, and the service is also good. It is close to the night market by the sea. It takes only five minutes to walk to the hotel after getting off the pier. You can rent their motorcycles at the door of the hotel. When I rented it, it was 300 baht a day (I didn't tell you about the price increase later).
The hotel has a small courtyard, which is really good.
When I left, there was a shuttle bus to the pier (this is really good)
It is also close to 711. Anyway, it is worth the price, super value"

TV can watch toutube, Naifei, children can watch TV at night, cartoons, adults can organize photos taken during the day, do not disturb each other! Close to the pier, go out to the island directly motorcycle, the boss also rents here, but I don't ride! Sitting in a double car, hundreds of baht, if you have good car skills, you can directly motorcycle!"

GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights and woke up on my birthday while looking at a beautiful sunrise over the Gulf of Thailand / Gulf of Siam. We stayed in the Panoramic Double Room, and I think our balcony was about as big as our room! We had great views of the water and mountains, and it was super peaceful. The reservation included breakfast for two, AND we also got a complimentary motor bike (with free gas) during our stay. *** I had read about the motor bikes in other reviews and was skeptical, but our reservation did include the motor bike. (Maybe it depends on which type of room you book). The breakfast was nice, and I could hear birds chirping as I drank my coffee each morning.
We took the motor bike to Samae Beach one day, but I made sure we came back to the room before sunset because I knew it would be a beautiful view from our balcony. One night we walked to a nearby restaurant by the water and had dinner. The only down sides were: There were some ants in our room (but that is normal in Thailand), and a nearby club played loud music one night. Overall, I loved the place and would stay there again in the future.

GGuest UserThe accommodation is clean and the service is very good. There is a shuttle service to the pier. The staff are cheerful, cute and friendly. There are free cups of instant noodles to eat all the time. Breakfast is rice soup, fried eggs and sausages. There is bread, Ovaltine, coffee and service. I recommend it.

TtechtoddtravelsBeautiful but some issues. Noise at night from decorations kept us up half the night. We made them aware of it and they took them down which was much better. Our cabin door did not lock as the deadbolt didn’t line up with the lock hole. Ants in the bathroom which again they took care of right away and mostly solved the issue. Great staff!

FFaancyynancyyI stay here for 2 days after being in the hostel and the space was really big for me hahaha it’s literally so big i was scared to sleep the first night. They grandma is helpful she called me a driver to go to the beach cus i was travelling alone and didn’t know how to ride a scooter. She cook chicken porridge for breakfast which was so yumm. Everything is good just the location if you’re gonna walk it’s a bit high up the hill but very close to some beautiful beaches where you can do a lot of water activity.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Portosalo. The team made everything feel seamless and special. The location is excellent-tucked away and private, yet still walkable (about 8 minutes to the pier). They'll pick you up in a buggy if needed. The motorbike rental was convenient and in great condition, and breakfast each day was lovely.

EEkaterina KогI agree with all the positive reviews. We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The bed is large, the mattress and pillows are comfortable, the bed linen is nice and pleasant. The water is hot, the pressure and drainage are all great. The air conditioner works quietly. The pier is close, but the street where the hotel is is quiet, so there is no noise at any time of the day. Breakfast is good, from 8 to 10. I was pleased with the balcony - a good view of the sea, a table, chairs, a dryer and a large plant on each balcony. One of the reviews wrote about the not very pleasant area around. There is a place that is clearly visible from the balcony and it is slightly covered in construction debris. But this place does not belong to the hotel, this is someone's private territory nearby. In the hotel, there are potted plants everywhere and the common area where breakfast is held is also green and cozy, tables are right next to the water on the open terrace. The staff and the hostess are very friendly and nice people. Thank you for your smiles and humor! I hope we meet again.

LLEO NG 1388First of all, this is a private pool villa. The operation is a little different from that of a hotel. You can call them when you go to the door or when you arrive on the island to prepare. A certain level of English communication skills is required here, so please use your own discretion. The location is right at Tawean Beach, which has the most activities and is the most popular. It is really good. After playing in the water, you can go back to take a shower and change clothes. It is also very convenient to go back to the room to get your equipment if you forget it. The location shown on Google Maps is actually accurate. There is an alley next to the beach and you just need to walk in. For breakfast, the staff will ask you when you would like to have your meal tomorrow morning and then deliver it to your private pool. It tastes good and the portion is quite sufficient.

GGuest UserWe originally booked 3 nights at Tawaen Beach Resort and ended up extending for another 3 nights — and honestly, that says everything.
This is not our first stay. We were here six months ago, stayed in the same resort, and deliberately came back again. Consistency matters, and Tawaen Beach Resort delivers it every single time.
The staff are outstanding — professional, genuinely kind, attentive, and always accommodating. You feel welcomed, respected, and taken care of from the moment you arrive.
The food and coffee pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to neighboring resorts where prices feel exaggerated and borderline absurd. Here, you actually feel you’re getting value without being taken advantage of.
Cleanliness deserves special mention. The hygiene standards are truly top-tier resort level — rooms, lobby, common areas — everything is spotless and well maintained. This is something many resorts on the island fail at, even if they look nice on the outside.
Location? Simply unbeatable.
You step out of the resort and within seconds, you’re standing in front of a magical turquoise-blue sea and perfectly clean, soft white sand — genuinely one of the best beach fronts in Koh Larn.
They have beach lounges and chairs where you can relax all day, and the beach staff constantly adjust the umbrellas as the sun moves — a small detail that makes a huge difference. Service is attentive without being intrusive.
What truly impressed us:
Over the past few weeks, we met multiple couples (not one, not two — FOUR) who stayed at nearby resorts and had nightmare experiences — poor hygiene, bad rooms, disappointing service. After visiting our room, lobby, and seeing the standards at Tawaen Beach Resort, they immediately canceled their bookings and rebooked here.
That alone speaks volumes.
We live just outside Pattaya and come to Koh Larn almost every month. One thing is absolutely certain:
We will never stay anywhere else. Ever.
The pricing is very fair, especially compared to the nonsense prices next door that don’t deliver even half the quality.
Try this place once — and you’re hooked for life.

GGuest UserОбслуживание замечательное, хозяин отеля встречал и провожал нас до причала, отвёз в отель, очень доброжедательный чаловек. Кроме того отвозил на пляж и оюратно на своём туктуке совершенно бесплатно. Номер чистый, соответствует критерию цена-качество. Расположение прямо на береговой линии. Отличный вид на Патайю, особенно ночью. Завтраки приличные. В шаговой доступности севен илэвен и торговые лотки с фруктами и прочей снедью. Не понравилось только, что ночью из бассейна воду слили. А так всё отлично. Рекомендую!
