"As a backpacker, I've traveled to many places, but this spot truly made me feel at home. The rooms were spotless and the bedding was incredibly soft against the skin. At night, you literally fall asleep to the sound of the waves, which is fantastic for anyone with trouble sleeping. The rooftop viewing deck even thoughtfully provides cooking utensils, perfect for those who aren't used to local cuisine and want to cook their own meals. They even offer free eggs for guests like me who prefer a milk and bread breakfast, so you can fry your own! The owner, in particular, is incredibly warm and attentive, always ready to answer any questions or requests from guests. My experience on Koh Larn these past few days has been the best since I started my Pattaya vacation. The fine white sand beaches, the jelly-colored sea, and the friendly guesthouse owner all left a deep impression on me. If I ever come back to Koh Larn, I'll definitely choose to stay here again. "This isn't just a hotel, it's a fairytale! I'm absolutely thrilled. First off, it's the most beautiful hotel on the island (we explored the whole thing, there are a couple of other nice ones, but this one is the most stylish). The view from the window is unreal, facing the sunrise and you can even see Pattaya). The room has absolutely everything you could need: even a comb and cotton swabs! The mini-bar is lovely with amazing coffee and tea. The bathtub is huge, bigger than it looks in photos! Secondly, the breakfasts. Oh my goodness, they're incredible – huge and unbelievably delicious! The hotel also has a quality wine list (a good selection, and they even keep them in a special wine fridge). The hotel's location is also fantastic; you can walk to any beach if you want, or take a scooter (by the way, you can rent scooters and golf carts from the hotel). All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. It's genuinely the best hotel I've ever stayed in!"

"We stayed overnight on the island and booked quickly. It was convenient to get there from Na Ban. The bungalows/rooms were cozy and clean. For our family of 5, we took two double bungalows. We paid an extra 300 baht on-site for a mattress for our 6-year-old child. Within a 5-minute walk, there's a cafe where you pay 299 baht, get a grill, and can pick seafood from a buffet to cook yourself. We really enjoyed everything."

"Very aesthetically pleasing hotel and the swimming pool is great, sun until 5pm-ish, comfortable bed and spacious room. The staff is very welcoming and kind. We had a request regarding a room change and they were able to accommodate us. The breakfast was good and with enough options. They offer scooter rentals and a shuttle service from and to the port.
Be aware this hotel has a lot of steps, if you are physically challenged, I would not recommend it. Other than that it’s located in a quiet part of the island but very central which makes it feel even more of a good getaway hotel."

"The sea view is absolutely stunning! As for the hotel itself, it's pretty much on par with a standard three-star, but you can't really expect much more when you're on an island. A heads-up: they don't provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or conditioner, so it's best to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Also, the water in the room is desalinated seawater, which is fine for showering and washing clothes, but you'll need to buy bottled water for drinking and brushing your teeth/rinsing."

"I booked a garden view room, so it wasn't right by the pier; it was a few minutes' walk to get inside. The furniture was a bit dated. There's no swimming pool. It felt pretty average. There were a few other places nearby with pools that looked newer. There's no phone in the room, which made communication a bit inconvenient, especially since my phone plan doesn't include calls."

"Cleanliness: Being on the first floor near the pool, there were quite a few insects, and the hotel didn't provide any mosquito repellent, which was a bit disappointing. I guess it's on par with guesthouses and hotels in mainland China.
Facilities: After spending time at the beach, I went directly to the pool. Many areas around the pool were quite slippery, and it felt like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time, so it wasn't particularly clean.
Service: The hotel didn't provide disposable toiletries like toothbrushes or toothpaste, which is a big deal. Also, the hotel is a bit far from 7-Eleven, so you'd need to ride a scooter for about 7 minutes to buy toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other necessities.
There's a small snack shop about a two to three-minute scooter ride from the hotel, which offers good value for money. The hotel does provide scooters for rent at 300 THB, and the price isn't negotiable. However, the average price for scooters on the street is around 200 THB. If convenience is key, renting from the hotel is an option, but if you want to save money, you can ask around on the street for a 200 THB rental. For water activities, always remember to bargain; cutting the price in half is usually a good strategy."

They don't respond to emails.
They don't answer questions on the Trip.com chat.
Our booking was mixed up. We booked a 'Sweet' room, but they had us down for a 'DeLuxe' for some reason. The price was roughly the same when we booked. We asked to switch rooms (at check-in) and were moved from DeLuxe #3 to Sweet #2 for an additional 700 baht!
I then asked to change from room #2 to #1. They said it was already booked. I pointed out that when booking, you only select the room type, not a specific room number. They got flustered... but still insisted that room #2 was the only option.
For anyone booking: the best rooms with views from the window and the top deck are DeLuxe #1 and Sweet #1.
The room wasn't clean; there was trash lying around. An empty chip bag was in the bin. This isn't just dirtiness – it's an indicator of poor standards. There was a used towel on the hanger. No bathrobes were provided.
The top floor was sandy everywhere, including on the sun loungers. I guess they're trying to create a beach atmosphere :)
The windows were dirty. The bathtub was worn.
The air conditioning was noisy.
They only give you one key card. If you leave the card in the slot when you step out of the room (e.g., to your own top floor), the door locks behind you (and you can't open it from the outside). If you take the card out, when you close the door, the electricity cuts off, with all the consequences – AC turns off, phones stop charging, etc.
I asked for a second key card, but they refused. This is just ridiculous... they're cutting corners on AC... and on their reputation.
As an option, you could bring an extension cord and plug it into the 'refrigerator' outlet :)
Seriously... it's the 21st century.
Overall, it's a so-so hotel. For this price, I think there are much better options. Its location, yes, is good. I understand the laid-back nature of the Thais, but there's a limit. I don't want to stress out on vacation, and who does!
So, weighing all the pros and cons, the cons definitely outweigh the pros. I don't know about you, but we are definitely not coming back here. Especially for that money... there are genuinely decent options nearby. And my peace of mind is more important!
Breakfasts... were decent. There's a tasty build-your-own soup with a rice base and meat (meatballs), mushrooms, various toppings, etc. A small bowl of fruit and a tiny bowl of yogurt with 3-4 blueberries and 2-3 kiwi slices. They also bring a plated portion with an omelet or two fried eggs, two sausages, two pieces of bacon, two small triangular pieces of sausage, etc.
Overall, breakfast was more or less okay.
There were no issues with the transfer from the hotel to Na Ban Pier. We took the ferry departing at 9:30 AM. The trip to Bali Hai Pier took 30 minutes. After a couple of ferries sank, they now seem to be counting passengers and trying to avoid overloading.

BBabiesBooOverall, it is excellent. Starting with the price, it's so cheap, including breakfast. The room is spacious for two guest and everything is new to welcome their honored guests. However, the younger woman who answers the phone with the hotel number, looks quite annoyed when the guest makes a call to ask how to get to the hotel. So we have no idea how she did that.
Talking about the most important part is escorting their guest, the housekeeper (an aunt with short hair) is very friendly and she loves what she does. We gave her some tips for that. Her great service mind reduces our unsatisfied with the service of the first lady, and we still rate this service at a good level no matter what.

GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights and woke up on my birthday while looking at a beautiful sunrise over the Gulf of Thailand / Gulf of Siam. We stayed in the Panoramic Double Room, and I think our balcony was about as big as our room! We had great views of the water and mountains, and it was super peaceful. The reservation included breakfast for two, AND we also got a complimentary motor bike (with free gas) during our stay. *** I had read about the motor bikes in other reviews and was skeptical, but our reservation did include the motor bike. (Maybe it depends on which type of room you book). The breakfast was nice, and I could hear birds chirping as I drank my coffee each morning.
We took the motor bike to Samae Beach one day, but I made sure we came back to the room before sunset because I knew it would be a beautiful view from our balcony. One night we walked to a nearby restaurant by the water and had dinner. The only down sides were: There were some ants in our room (but that is normal in Thailand), and a nearby club played loud music one night. Overall, I loved the place and would stay there again in the future.

Samanta by the Sea was a great find, and we enjoyed our stay very much.
The room was a great size, and it was even better that the hotel was only 5 min (walking) from the pier.
We were greeted by the owner and shown around. His friendliness and happiness were astonishing and so genuine.
Getting free noodles, bread, and coffee 24/7 was a lovely touch, too.
We can only recommend Samanta by the Sea and will stay here heapily again.

FFelee555Absolutely superb! It looks exactly like the pictures. The place is clean, new, with a very spacious room, a wide balcony, and high, airy ceilings. The shower pressure might be a little weak, but everything else was so fantastic that it became a minor detail. Just a heads-up for those who are particular about shower strength. The staff are friendly.
The million-dollar view is no exaggeration. This truly is a place for genuine relaxation, with the sea literally right there with your room. In-room breakfast service was perfect for someone lazy like me!
Thank you so much for the best 3-day, 2-night trip I've ever had. This private and incredibly beautiful accommodation allows you to truly unwind and do nothing. I loved it so much; the view made me incredibly happy, and I barely wanted to leave the room.
Friends, don't think twice – book it now! This kind of overwater view is very rare, and you even get schools of small fish greeting you in the clear water around 7-8 AM.
I could go on and on about its beauty, but I'll stop here. It's just *too* beautiful! 😅

DDonCarloMila Kohlarn is definitely a “must-stay” hotel on Koh Larn Island. The bed was genuinely comfortable, the room was spotless, and the breakfast was excellent — easily one of the highlights of the stay.
The location is unbeatable: it’s literally right on Taewan Beach, so you can step out and you’re on the beachfront straight away. It’s also super convenient that you can rent a motorbike directly from the hotel to explore the other beaches around the island. You can order meals to your room.
A nice touch on arrival was the welcome drink — so refreshing, especially in the heat. The free pick-up and drop-off service between the pier and the hotel was also smooth and hassle-free, which made travelling with bags much easier.
Highly recommended if you want comfort, convenience, and a top location on Koh Larn.

The staff was friendly, the facilities were great, I had the greatest of times here. The resort has designated free beach umbrella's and chairs for residents. The fire shows on The beach were amazing! The breakfast was great too! I rate the resort a solid 4/5

Motorbikes are available for rent at 300 THB, though the one we received seemed to have been in a prior accident, making it difficult to ride as it constantly pulled to the left. The location is convenient, with restaurants within walking distance, and a shuttle service is also provided.
The bedroom and bathroom were clean, but the bathroom did have a slight drain odor. The room itself had no offensive smell, but wasn't particularly fresh-smelling either. The bathroom floor was quite slippery, so caution was needed when walking. The wall-mounted shower had very weak water pressure; a standard shower head would be a significant improvement. Interestingly, the water pressure at the sink and from the bidet sprayer was strong.
The room lighting was rather dim and yellowish. The TV was unusable due to intermittent signal (this was in our family room).
Breakfast included congee, bread, coffee, and Ovaltine.
