"I booked a garden view room, so it wasn't right by the pier; it was a few minutes' walk to get inside. The furniture was a bit dated. There's no swimming pool. It felt pretty average. There were a few other places nearby with pools that looked newer. There's no phone in the room, which made communication a bit inconvenient, especially since my phone plan doesn't include calls."

"I can't understand how this hotel got such a high rating. They don't respond to emails. They don't answer questions on the Trip.com chat. Our booking was mixed up. We booked a 'Sweet' room, but they had us down for a 'DeLuxe' for some reason. The price was roughly the same when we booked. We asked to switch rooms (at check-in) and were moved from DeLuxe #3 to Sweet #2 for an additional 700 baht! I then asked to change from room #2 to #1. They said it was already booked. I pointed out that when booking, you only select the room type, not a specific room number. They got flustered... but still insisted that room #2 was the only option. For anyone booking: the best rooms with views from the window and the top deck are DeLuxe #1 and Sweet #1. The room wasn't clean; there was trash lying around. An empty chip bag was in the bin. This isn't just dirtiness – it's an indicator of poor standards. There was a used towel on the hanger. No bathrobes were provided. The top floor was sandy everywhere, including on the sun loungers. I guess they're trying to create a beach atmosphere :) The windows were dirty. The bathtub was worn. The air conditioning was noisy. They only give you one key card. If you leave the card in the slot when you step out of the room (e.g., to your own top floor), the door locks behind you (and you can't open it from the outside). If you take the card out, when you close the door, the electricity cuts off, with all the consequences – AC turns off, phones stop charging, etc. I asked for a second key card, but they refused. This is just ridiculous... they're cutting corners on AC... and on their reputation. As an option, you could bring an extension cord and plug it into the 'refrigerator' outlet :) Seriously... it's the 21st century. Overall, it's a so-so hotel. For this price, I think there are much better options. Its location, yes, is good. I understand the laid-back nature of the Thais, but there's a limit. I don't want to stress out on vacation, and who does! So, weighing all the pros and cons, the cons definitely outweigh the pros. I don't know about you, but we are definitely not coming back here. Especially for that money... there are genuinely decent options nearby. And my peace of mind is more important! Breakfasts... were decent. There's a tasty build-your-own soup with a rice base and meat (meatballs), mushrooms, various toppings, etc. A small bowl of fruit and a tiny bowl of yogurt with 3-4 blueberries and 2-3 kiwi slices. They also bring a plated portion with an omelet or two fried eggs, two sausages, two pieces of bacon, two small triangular pieces of sausage, etc. Overall, breakfast was more or less okay. There were no issues with the transfer from the hotel to Na Ban Pier. We took the ferry departing at 9:30 AM. The trip to Bali Hai Pier took 30 minutes. After a couple of ferries sank, they now seem to be counting passengers and trying to avoid overloading."

"The sea view is absolutely stunning! As for the hotel itself, it's pretty much on par with a standard three-star, but you can't really expect much more when you're on an island. A heads-up: they don't provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or conditioner, so it's best to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Also, the water in the room is desalinated seawater, which is fine for showering and washing clothes, but you'll need to buy bottled water for drinking and brushing your teeth/rinsing."

"Excellent hotel. After staying for 4 nights, we only had positive experiences. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. There's a transfer service from the pier. The rooms and property are clean and cozy, and the breakfasts are good. There are three gazebos on site where you can relax, as well as a billiards table. You can also rent scooters directly from the hotel. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to everyone."

"Great little place. Short walk to harbour town for ferries, restaurants, market and bus stop to go to beaches. Friendly owners, helpful, generous and friendly. Room was ideal but basic. Large fridge, big comfy bed, hot shower and balcony. Fresh towels, toilet paper and toiletries every day. Loved it...and went back after travelling a bit."

"It was our second time at this hotel, and it’s absolutely great for an island trip. Short walk from a pier, from 7/11, from songthaew stop. We will come again soon, no doubts. BTW there is a cute little cat (she’s pregnant now), so don’t forget to buy some food for her ;)"

"Location and price excellent. New owners so they are changing things. I think better mattresses and they must understand the competition from other places. For example wanted to charge 400baht for bike rental per day with fuel but almost all others are charging 300 baht"

"I stayed here for two nights and woke up on my birthday while looking at a beautiful sunrise over the Gulf of Thailand / Gulf of Siam. We stayed in the Panoramic Double Room, and I think our balcony was about as big as our room! We had great views of the water and mountains, and it was super peaceful. The reservation included breakfast for two, AND we also got a complimentary motor bike (with free gas) during our stay. *** I had read about the motor bikes in other reviews and was skeptical, but our reservation did include the motor bike. (Maybe it depends on which type of room you book). The breakfast was nice, and I could hear birds chirping as I drank my coffee each morning. We took the motor bike to Samae Beach one day, but I made sure we came back to the room before sunset because I knew it would be a beautiful view from our balcony. One night we walked to a nearby restaurant by the water and had dinner. The only down sides were: There were some ants in our room (but that is normal in Thailand), and a nearby club played loud music one night. Overall, I loved the place and would stay there again in the future."

"The location is good, and the personnel was responsive to all our queries. The shuttle service made our stay on the island convenient as the hotel offers a free shuttle to na baan pier and tawaen beach. They offer a variety of food for breakfast."
