"This guesthouse only has five rooms, and every single one faces Siguniang Mountain. I'd seen pictures and had an idea of what to expect, but I was still pleasantly surprised when I opened the door upon arrival. The log-cabin style common areas felt cozy in every corner. The owner was so laid-back, and I immediately felt that sense of ease, like I could just sit cross-legged with friends, chat, drink tea, and gaze at the snowy mountains. Besides the amazing, unobstructed views that were just like the promotional photos, the rooms were incredibly thoughtful. There were dry and wet tissues in the bathroom, and even disposable bath towels, regular towels, and kettle liners were changed for each guest. I feel like the owner really thought of every single detail a traveler might need! The nasal cannula oxygen concentrator was so much more effective than the wall-mounted one at our previous hotel; my friend was feeling altitude sickness and was back to full energy after an hour of using it. Also, I have to seriously praise the dinner! The night before, we had yak hot pot at a famous ******* restaurant in Barkam, and the meat was so tough I couldn't chew it. So, I wasn't really looking forward to this hot pot and even wondered if we could skip it. But the owner guaranteed, 'Just give it a try!' A big, bubbling pot arrived, filled with perfectly proportioned beef brisket and super fresh side dishes – you could really taste the quality of the ingredients! We were so worried that four big guys wouldn't be full that we brought a bunch of instant noodles and snacks for a late-night meal... The truth is, the four of us were so stuffed we didn't want to move, and we couldn't even finish everything. We couldn't really drink alcohol at this altitude, but otherwise, isn't this what the best days are made of? Hot pot with friends or family, facing a snowy mountain, with your favorite music playing! I've seen many guesthouse promotions before, but I want to say that Green Poppy (Lü Rong Hao) is the one that truly felt like a home at the foot of the snowy mountains. It's totally worth it."

"The hotel is very close to the Shuangqiao Valley scenic area and easy to find. Most importantly, there's plenty of parking, making it perfect for self-driving travelers. The front desk staff deserve the highest praise; they were incredibly warm and attentive. They were proactive and enthusiastic, even helping to solve small issues 😁. The hotel has a restaurant, and the breakfast selection was quite rich and tasty, making it very convenient to fill up before heading out for sightseeing. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, allowing for a very comfortable rest."

"We were so glad we chose Shan Shang Shan for our final stop in Siguniang Mountain on our western Sichuan trip. The guesthouse's location is superb, nestled halfway up the mountain, with parking available and an elevator. We arrived around 9 PM, and it was easy to find following the directions. The owner thoughtfully prepared dinner for us (the ******* hotpot was delicious!). The room was exactly as pictured, and the owner even turned on the diffused oxygen system for us in advance, which made us feel right at home. The room had a full wooden interior, and everything was perfectly satisfactory. What I loved most, though, was waking up and pulling back the curtains to reveal stunning mountain views, with a faint glimpse of snow-capped peaks – it was truly perfect. Breakfast was also very generous, and we even tried making hand-churned yak butter tea. If you like savory milk tea, you should definitely give it a try; it really helps with altitude sickness."

"I first visited this hotel in 2021 when it was still under construction and have been dreaming of experiencing it ever since. This trip, my dream finally came true! The check-in service was excellent, breakfast was plentiful, and there were great options for lunch and dinner too. The afternoon tea and the evening tea ceremony around the fire pit were delightful surprises. I even managed to capture some amazing shots of eagles soaring in the sky! In the evening, I took a satisfying series of personal photos, and I woke up before 6 AM to capture a time-lapse of the sunrise... This trip was truly unforgettable."

"This B&B is absolutely wonderful, highly recommended! It truly felt like home. The front desk contacted us in advance and checked in on our location during our journey. They provided a menu for pre-ordering meals. We encountered a massive traffic jam coming from Bipenggou, which stretched our drive to over six hours. We had hoped to catch the 'golden mountain bathed in sunrise' view from the B&B, but it was already dark when we arrived. Thankfully, the kind front desk staff recorded a video of the sunrise for me. We were also greeted by the golden retriever, Duorou. There are charging stations available. For dinner, we chose the matsutake mushroom and chicken stew, which was incredibly delicious. I had several bowls of chicken soup! We also enjoyed fruit, red velvet cake, and white fungus soup. The tableware was exquisite. The entire B&B has a fantastic aesthetic, with pure solid wood throughout – I really loved the decor. We stayed on the first floor, which had a small courtyard offering distant views of Mount Siguniang. The fourth-floor terrace provides panoramic views. The room lighting was comfortable, and I particularly liked the large mirror and spacious vanity. The shower water was very hot with good pressure. We even experienced a power outage one evening, which serendipitously allowed us to witness a sky full of stars. The power issue was resolved quickly. The room was very quiet at night, and breakfast was both rich and refined. The triangular pancakes were especially tasty, with a perfectly crispy bottom. There was also congee, rice vermicelli, rich milk, and local eggs. If I ever have the chance to visit Mount Siguniang again, I would definitely want to stay here. It was incredibly comfortable. They also provide oxygen concentrators. When we left, the front desk lady even came to the door to wave goodbye."

"The scenery is pretty good, and you can even see a bit of the snow-capped mountains! It would have been even more beautiful if it had snowed, but unfortunately, it hadn't snowed in Siguniang Mountain when we visited, so we could only see them in the distance. The room was well-decorated and very clean! The floor-to-ceiling windows offered great views. It came with an oxygen concentrator, humidifier, and the underfloor heating worked really well. There was also a projector for watching movies, making for a very comfortable stay. The service was very welcoming. If you wanted to use the private hot spring, they would even clean it a second time beforehand. I would definitely go back! The only minor downside is that the parking lot is a bit small and involves going up a坡 (a slope), which might not be ideal for sedans with lower clearance, but you could probably park on a nearby street. It's highly recommended, and I would stay there again!"

The room design is unique, though with the open-plan bathroom, one might need to pay attention to staying warm. As a light sleeper, I found the window soundproofing to be just average. Service was acceptable, and it's great they have EV charging stations. Overall, a 5-star rating to show my appreciation and encouragement."
