"The hotel is located mid-mountain, away from the city center. There are public buses from Nikko Station to Kirifuri Plateau, but they run infrequently. When we arrived, pushing our luggage, we didn't consider other options; a taxi would have been the most time-efficient option, costing 800 yen.
The hotel staff were polite and smiling. Since it was only 12:30 PM, they checked us in and stored our luggage, allowing us to walk down the mountain to the city center in just 15 minutes.
The hotel's surroundings are pleasant, while the interior is simple, with a common reading area and a tea room with free chopsticks and bowls. While dinner is not served, there is a large restaurant behind the hotel.
The only drawback is that the open-air bath requires access outside the hotel, making it quite small. Even with 5-6 people inside or outside, it felt cramped. Overall, this hotel was very comfortable and I would definitely stay there again."
