"Except for the excellent location (nearest to Tobu-Nikko Station and the buses stops to various locations and places of interest, the hotel is badly in need of upgrades for it's rooms, facilities and amenities. The room I stayed in is big (compared to most hotel rooms in Japan) but the toilet seat cover keeps falling down while using it. Plenty of cobwebs at corners , especially along the corridor. The bathroom taps is like a 'makeshift' upgrade shared by basin and bathtub. See photo. Good thing is that I can see upgrading and renovation taking place but seems like it has been going on for a very long time already."

"I stayed in a twin room on the third floor, and there's an elevator. The room has a toilet (no shower), and the shower rooms are next door, with two on each floor. There's also a washing machine. On the first floor, there's a public bath, which is quite small and only fits two people. Breakfast is 700 yen per person and is filling. Right across from the inn entrance is a Family Mart, which is very convenient. There's no luggage storage, only lockers by the entrance for 100 yen per use. A 24-inch suitcase fits easily, and 25-26 inches should be fine too; for 28 inches, you might want to double-check. I managed to fit my 24-inch suitcase plus 2 liters of water. It's a 3-minute walk from Tobu Nikko Station, or 5 minutes if you walk slowly."

"Excellent price-performance ratio hotel with the best logistics you can have in Kinugawa. The facilities with garden are fresh, service is top grade. As for onsen, it is separated, but it has only one bath, which is expected from tiny hotels. The only little nuisance you can encounter is the late night noise coming from opening doors. Overall the experience was outstanding, I will choose this place again."

"The hotel is located far from the station and I had to walk uphill in the heat with my luggage, I sent a request to the hotel to pick up my luggage twice, but never received the service, I got to the hotel, the owner took my passport, I filled out the paper, then they just told me check-in after 15.00, they didn’t offer to leave my luggage, sit down from the road, wait, for a second I’m already over 50 years old, not a girl, I stood near the entrance until I asked “can I leave my luggage before check-in, to which the owner waved his hand at me and that's all. When I arrived at the hotel after 15.00, the hostess appeared and again asked for a passport, I said that her husband had already registered me, no smile, no greeting, nothing, this is the attitude towards Russians, why such discrimination? I come to you, pay you money, not for a hostel, but for a normal room, just to sleep, and this is the attitude. After Tokyo, I was generally in shock, of course, I didn’t expect it, I came to spend my birthday in Nikko, I thought I’d stay in a family hotel, but here this attitude is a huge minus. I do not recommend this family business☹️😡"
