"A perfect experience! A hidden gem of a guesthouse at the foot of Fanjingshan. I specifically chose the Shanhe Xiaoyang Guesthouse for my trip to Fanjingshan, and the location is absolutely incredible – right next to the scenic area. It saved us the hassle of traveling, and we could easily start our journey on foot. The guesthouse interior was super clean, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, making for a very comfortable stay. The owner and staff provided exceptional service, answering all our questions and even proactively sharing hiking tips, which was incredibly thoughtful. The room was well-equipped, the TV had a clear picture, so we could relax and watch some shows after coming back in the evening. The biggest surprise was the free parking, so we didn't have to worry about parking at all since we drove. Next time I visit Fanjingshan, I'll definitely choose this place again!"

"This place is really close to Fanjing Mountain's East Gate, just a few minutes' drive, making it super convenient for hiking. The owner was very helpful and answered all our questions. There's a suspension bridge nearby, and if you walk a bit further, you'll find a local market. We were lucky enough to catch it on market day! I bought six lemon-like oranges and a bunch of bananas for 30 yuan. I even had a local lady ask me how much I paid for them. When I told her, she just walked off, seemingly quite pleased – I guess I paid the 'tourist price'!"

"The inn is very close to the hiking trail entrance, just a 6-7 minute walk away. There's an elevator, so bringing lots of luggage isn't a problem. The bed was quite comfortable to sleep in. The soundproofing isn't great though; I could hear the cleaning staff and other guests passing by in the morning. Since it was the off-season when I went, it wasn't fully booked, which was good, otherwise, it would have really affected my sleep."

"A very satisfying trip! Because the guesthouse I originally booked was under renovation, the owner upgraded me to another place he owns, Dianzui Pavilion, for free. It's right by the roadside, the room was nicely decorated and very new, the amenities were high-end, the bed was just the right firmness, and the location was very convenient, close to the east gate of the scenic area. Fanjingshan is beautiful. There weren't many people at that time of year. I arrived at the scenic area entrance at 7:30 am, took the first tourist bus at 8:00 am, the first cable car, and was the first to climb to the Mushroom Rock – it was amazing! The sky was perfect; I reached both the Red Cloud Golden Summit and the Old Golden Summit. Not tiring at all, it was so beautiful! A perfect solo trip!"

"The room facilities were excellent, and the surrounding environment was exceptionally beautiful. We didn't arrive until after 4 AM, but the owner still held our room and even helped us with our luggage. Because it was raining and our booked first-floor room might have been damp, they upgraded us to a second-floor suite. The next day, when we couldn't find a taxi to Fanjing Mountain, the owner personally drove us and offered many great sightseeing tips. It was truly a wonderful experience! "Location, location, location! It is only 200m walk away from the queue entrance of Fanjing Mountain. If you are taking the direct bus from Tongren Station / Tongren Bus Station, you shall alight at the Fanjing Mountain Tourist Information Centre and the homestay is just about 250m away. As we are foreigner and unclear of which direction to walk to, we contacted the boss to pick us up. The boss assisted with our luggage and guided us patiently on the directions. He suggested us to pay Zhaisha Dong Village a visit if time permits. The boss even drove us back and forth to as there isn't Didi service up in the mountain. The room of the homestay is spacious, clean and new. The boss and his father are super nice and enthusiastic. Fanjing Mountain is grand but has lots of bugs and mosquitoes. So do remember to bring along your insect repellent."

"I booked a twin room but got upgraded to a king-size room. The room was very bright and smart, and the bed was super comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. Most importantly, it's very close to the East Gate Tourist Center and the ticket office, so I could come back and drive after hiking the mountain, saving me parking fees. The small courtyard environment is also very thoughtfully designed, it should be especially comfortable in the summer. The owner was very friendly. A satisfying stay, definitely five-star!"

Their breakfast and dinner are a must-try; the chef is exceptional, and every dish was a delight. What truly elevated the stay was the warmth and hospitality of the staff—genuinely friendly and attentive throughout. My friends and I had a wonderful, memorable time here. The room is also super big, and there is a swimming pool outside. The water is very clean and cool. It feels like it flows directly from the mountains. You can play in the water! Because we are in the mountains, it will be a bit humid, but there is an electric blanket on the bed. You can turn it on to warm it up before going to bed~ There is also breakfast in the morning. Although it is not as rich as the hotel buffet, it is freshly cooked by the aunt and is also very fresh and delicious😋 It is also very close to Fanjing Mountain. It only takes three minutes by car. After telling the boss about the time, he will send you there. When you return to Tongren city later, you can also ask the boss to book a taxi for you! The boss's service attitude is really great! I highly recommend everyone to stay here. If the itinerary was not so full, I could really stay for two more days🥰

LLea1212The jiuyue Qisu guesthouse was stunning. We had a room with a river view. The river runs just outside the room. The rooms were sophisticated and stylish, spotlessly clean. Real coffee was at reception, as were a small variety of drinks, and small snacks. Local restaurants a few metres away. The owners and staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming, without being overwhelming. Definitely the highlight of our trip to fanjinshan, which was only a ten minute drive away. A beautiful place to relax and breath the fresh mountain air on the edge of the park.

Waking up and pulling back the curtains in the morning, I was greeted by a soft mist cloaking the distant views and the river, truly like a wonderland. A stroll down to the riverbank was incredibly invigorating. I'll definitely return for another stay if time permits. It happened to be the Dragon Boat Festival, and the owner thoughtfully prepared Zongzi (rice dumplings) and the local specialty, Miancai Ba, early that morning. It gave me such a heartwarming, home-away-from-home feeling.

GGuest UserIt was such a surprise find at Fanjingshan. The rooms are big with modern facilities including toilet seat sensor. The inn also has a lift for those with big luggages and don’t want to climb the stairs with them, a feature that is not in all the inns around. We have such a comfortable stay, even if it was just for a night. We took a didi to the inn in the evening and in the morning, the owner drove us to the gate of Fanjingshan to purchase the tickets. He also offered to pick us up when we are done for the day at fjs. He also helped us to engage a driver who drove us to fenghuang ancient town for a fair price based on our cab fare from Tongren to fjs. I will definitely recommend this inn which is also new, opened in March 2023. 房间干净偏大，负有摩登设施。民宿里也有电梯，无需扛大行李上楼。我们住得舒适也吃得好。推荐！

HHR101Very grateful to return to a cozy clean room after a cold cloudy day on the mountain. Very good facilities in the room for the price. We appreciated the early check in allowing us to store our bags in the room before going to the mountain. Hot powerful shower, smart toilet, and good TV. Restaurant downstairs was Ok, there is more food 5 minute walk west. It's right behind the main entrance to the mountain, very convenient. For traveller info - we took the bus to Zhenyuan the next day, tickets available at the counter immediately next to the park entrance ticket. 1 bus a day at 09:30 in December. High quakity minivan, we had it all to ourselves ¥126pp. Hotel is great value for money.

GGuest UserIf you want to be up at Fanjingshan before the crowds arrive, staying at Longting Courtyard is the right decision. When you artived at Fanjingshan Tourist centre, Longting boss will pick you up and bring you to buy the entrance ticket for tomorrow hike. And then bring you to Longting Courtyard to check in. Next morning, the lady boss will cook up a bowl of delicious noodles soup for you to fuel up. Then the boss will bring you to check in at the Entrance. After that you will board the sight seeing shuttle bus up to the cable car station. Fanjingshan is all yours to explore before the crowds arrive. If you need transport from Tongren Railway Station to Fanjingshan Tourist centre, Longting lady boss will provide you with the driver contact number. One way is 35 yuan. The room is comfortable and spacious enough for us and they are clean. We are happy with our choice of staying at Longting.

MM34416****The lady at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and warm. We didn't arrive until 10:30 PM, but she had called us earlier to confirm our arrival time and even upgraded our room. The air conditioning was wonderfully warm, the hot water was excellent, and the bedding was very comfortable. She also allowed us to park our car directly in front of the guesthouse. Even after check-out, she mentioned that we could still come back to the guesthouse for a free shower and to change clothes after descending Mount Fanjing. This place absolutely deserves a huge thumbs up!

Since it was off-season, we even got a complimentary upgrade to their most luxurious suite. Butler No. 02 provided excellent service; he proactively helped carry our luggage to the room and even assisted us with a Fanjing Mountain travel itinerary. We'll definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Fanjing Mountain next time.

MM340364****Peeling paint and mold were the less serious drawbacks of this place. When we checked in, we booked two rooms at different price points, but the hotel assigned us the cheaper one. After we complained, they claimed it was for our convenience. Secondly, I booked a room for my parents that included breakfast, but why did the hotel charge them for breakfast in the morning? My parents called me, and I quickly clarified that their room included breakfast, and only then was they not charged. The stay was extremely poor, and the hygiene was appalling.
