"Over the years, I've mostly opted for B&Bs when traveling. So, when I saw the spacious, stylish, and comfortable common areas at Huanlin, I was truly surprised. For a B&B, such amenities feel quite luxurious.
The room itself is large with simple decor, comfortable bedding, and a full set of disposable toiletries. It also features smart home appliances throughout. Everything was pretty much perfect, except for the bathroom door not having a lock.
The B&B is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute walk from the scenic area entrance and the visitor center.
The hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming. After our visit to Fanjing Mountain the next day, she even proactively helped us arrange transport to Tongren, cut us some watermelon, and invited us to share their homemade lunch. Beyond her excellent customer service, she was constantly busy with renovations for the outdoor space in the backyard. It's clear she's put a lot of heart into running this B&B, and I believe she'll bring even more wonderful improvements to Huanlin Courtyard."

"The room was very large and it didn't take long to renovate. The interior is very complete, the house is not humid at all, and the heating is sufficient. "The boss is very nice and greets us every time we come in and out.
The location of the hotel is easy to find. After entering the village, go straight and there will be a sign at the turn. You can also call the boss at the entrance of the village, and the boss will drive a luggage cart out to pick up the luggage and show the way.
The design of the hotel is very thoughtful. There is a small pond after entering. In addition to koi, there are two white Chinese sturgeons. The boss said it is a one-in-a-million species.

"We stayed for two nights because the hotel is conveniently located near Fanjingshan. While the location was suitable for our visit, the overall experience was disappointing.
The hotel was extremely quiet when we first arrived, and it appeared that we were the only guests during our stay. Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet expectations. On our first night, we requested washing powder so that we could do some laundry. We were told that it had run out and that more would be available the following morning. However, when we checked the next day, there was still no washing powder available. More frustratingly, the staff made no effort to update us on the situation or offer an alternative solution. This lack of communication and initiative was disappointing.
The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. We eventually decided to extend our stay by one more night because my wife was experiencing back pain and preferred not to travel. However, our sleep quality did not improve. At around 6:00 a.m., we were awakened by other guests talking loudly in the corridor and by the constant noise of doors opening and closing. The soundproofing appears to be poor, as noises from the hallway could be clearly heard inside the room.
Between the uncomfortable bed, inadequate sound insulation, and the lack of attentiveness from the staff, we did not get the restful stay we had hoped for. ."

"This accommodation was the most satisfying part of my trip to Fanjingshan. The location was excellent, right next to the scenic area, making it very convenient to get up the mountain. The overall environment was clean, elegant, quiet, and comfortable, far from the hustle and bustle. The night view was particularly stunning, with the lights creating rich layers of distant mountain scenery, offering many angles for framing shots; every snapshot looked like a masterpiece. The accommodation was comfortable and offered both sightseeing and relaxation; I would definitely choose this place again next time."

The garden setting is beautiful, the lobby/restaurant are is really nice and inviting and the room was very modern, yet traditional at the same time. Everything seemed new and very well maintained and managed professionally. I found it very good value. The staff /owner was very helpful and patiently translated everything for me. Anyway I can only say that the service was outstanding and the stay exceeded my expectations!!!
I can warmly recommend this beautiful guesthouse and I think anyone would really love it.
I had the room with the bathtub but next time I would chose the one with the view of the drum tower.

We are European tourists traveling to visit Mount Fanjing and decided to stay in the nearby village of Zhaisha. We booked this B&B which is just as beautiful as the pictures, and the rooms are well-equipped with comfortable mattresses. Guests can also take advantage of a free laundry service, which I recommend for stays of at least two days because clothes are dried outdoors and it can be humid. The owner is very kind and passionate about his work. He prepared delicious fruit for us every day and he even proposed driving us to the Mount Fanjing gate, which is a couple of kilometers away. He recommended many activities, restaurants, and a local evening festival, which was a unique local experience.
To get to the Zhaisha village we booked a Didi taxi from Tongren, which takes about an hour. Alternatively, the owner can arrange a private transfer or offer advice on public transport.

This treasure-level homestay is highly recommended ～ First of all, let’s talk about the environment. The homestay is located near the entrance of Fanjing Mountain Scenic Area. You can directly reach the door by renting. Parking is also very convenient. It is surrounded by mountains (she has a golden teak tree for more than 300 years at the door of her house. Looking up at the strong trunks of her house, the air is particularly fresh, tens of meters away is the Zhaisha suspension bridge, the river is clear to the bottom... The decoration of the homestay is Chinese style, there are various wood carving ornaments collected by the boss, the room is elegant, clean and tidy, no smell, The mattress and bedding are very comfortable. The room was very clean! The whole room is smart, which is very convenient! The shower water pressure was incredibly strong! It was the strongest water pressure I experienced in any hotel during this trip! The bed was also very comfortable! Parking was very convenient! There are several parking spaces in front of the back door! Having a laundry room is a huge plus! A must-have for long trips! It's also very close to the food street! Overall, it was excellent and I'm very satisfied! I will definitely book here again next time!

NinacoffeeThis hotel is really close to the east gate of Fanjing Mountain, and the owner is super nice, offering shuttle service between the hotel and the scenic area. The room was clean, and the surroundings were very quiet. My only minor gripes were that the air conditioner was a bit noisy and the hairdryer wasn't very powerful. Breakfast was a bowl of rice noodles and a steamed bun, which was decent. We also had lunch at the hotel, and the sour soup beef was delicious and a generous portion. All in all, it was a pretty good stay.

AixueerThis guesthouse has an excellent location, very close to the east gate of Fanjing Mountain. The room was spacious and clean, and the large bed was super comfortable for sleeping. The soundproofing in the room is great; even when people in the opposite room were talking loudly and I could hear their voices clearly in the hallway, I couldn't hear a thing once inside my room. The owners are very hardworking; not only do they run the guesthouse, but you can also eat meals there. Their handsome son is incredibly diligent; whenever there are guests dining, he helps serve food and clear tables. I felt terrible when I accidentally cracked a toothbrush cup badly, but the owners both immediately said it was fine and even offered me a new one, refusing to let me pay for it. Thank you so much! 🌹🌹🌹

RuguowoshiyuesefenOur stay at Longting Courtyard was truly the biggest highlight of our Fanjingshan trip! We stayed in the Mu Xun Suite, and the room was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable mattress and excellent amenities. It was quiet and cozy for a good night's sleep!
❤️ What deserves the most praise are the owners. The husband and wife are incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and genuinely kind. Even before we arrived, they actively helped us secure Fanjingshan entrance tickets and shared a detailed guide for climbing the mountain, explaining what to watch out for and how to plan our route. They also provided shuttle service, saving us a lot of hassle with transportation. They patiently answered any questions we had along the way, always genuine and approachable, and replied to WeChat messages instantly. Since the guesthouse is located right inside the scenic area, we were among the first group to go up the mountain and captured some truly stunning photos! Our entire experience was fantastic. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Fanjingshan; I'll definitely stay here again next time!!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised on my first trip here. I booked such a wonderful guesthouse right away. The owner was kind and friendly, and even helped me with my luggage. The courtyard layout was exactly what I wanted, and the cleanliness was also excellent. I would definitely come back again. It was a very satisfying experience!

BLYLLocation, location, location! It is only 200m walk away from the queue entrance of Fanjing Mountain. If you are taking the direct bus from Tongren Station / Tongren Bus Station, you shall alight at the Fanjing Mountain Tourist Information Centre and the homestay is just about 250m away. As we are foreigner and unclear of which direction to walk to, we contacted the boss to pick us up. The boss assisted with our luggage and guided us patiently on the directions. He suggested us to pay Zhaisha Dong Village a visit if time permits. The boss even drove us back and forth to as there isn't Didi service up in the mountain. The room of the homestay is spacious, clean and new. The boss and his father are super nice and enthusiastic. Fanjing Mountain is grand but has lots of bugs and mosquitoes. So do remember to bring along your insect repellent.

Location is mins walk to fanjingshan ticket ctr and entrance.
The bed is uncomfortable, cos I could feel the uneven part .
Otherwise, it is a pleasant stay and Ah Kwang is very helpful.
They also helped me to send my charger and updated me .
At times there is no one at the counter but they respond fast via wechat.
Don't eat at the breakfast shop next to it and street stall along the alley towards fanjingshan entrance.They will sell you food that's not fresh and oil that's rancid... horrible..

The hillside guesthouse felt like a warm welcome home after a long, tiring day at work. Even before arriving, the owner contacted me to remind me to buy tickets, offering plenty of advice and hiking tips, along with transportation information. There was no need to plan anything here; everything was taken care of – food, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment. Upon arrival, the housekeeper warmly helped with our luggage, and the owner greeted us enthusiastically, like old friends even though we'd never met before. After check-in, we were immediately offered sparkling water, iced coffee, and welcome fruit. The air conditioning was already on, and the room was clean and hygienic, with a small courtyard for easy access. Breakfast wasn't as lavish as a hotel meal, but it was delicious: minced meat rice noodles, fried eggs, steamed corn bread, steamed corn, and millet cakes – the taste was unlike anything you'd find in a pre-made meal. They even packed up the leftovers for us to take hiking. After breakfast, the owner drove us to the scenic area in his Porsche. The scenic area was only 1 kilometer from the guesthouse, but he insisted on driving us there, saying parking would be inconvenient late at night. He also offered to pick us up on the way back, but we took a taxi – very convenient indeed. What surprised me most when we returned to the guesthouse after our hike was the foot bath tub they had provided. We sat in the pavilion, sipping tea and soaking our feet – it was incredibly relaxing. I'll definitely come back and recommend it to my friends. Goodbye!
