"We stayed for two nights because the hotel is conveniently located near Fanjingshan. While the location was suitable for our visit, the overall experience was disappointing. The hotel was extremely quiet when we first arrived, and it appeared that we were the only guests during our stay. Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet expectations. On our first night, we requested washing powder so that we could do some laundry. We were told that it had run out and that more would be available the following morning. However, when we checked the next day, there was still no washing powder available. More frustratingly, the staff made no effort to update us on the situation or offer an alternative solution. This lack of communication and initiative was disappointing. The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. We eventually decided to extend our stay by one more night because my wife was experiencing back pain and preferred not to travel. However, our sleep quality did not improve. At around 6:00 a.m., we were awakened by other guests talking loudly in the corridor and by the constant noise of doors opening and closing. The soundproofing appears to be poor, as noises from the hallway could be clearly heard inside the room. Between the uncomfortable bed, inadequate sound insulation, and the lack of attentiveness from the staff, we did not get the restful stay we had hoped for. ."

"Over the years, I've mostly opted for B&Bs when traveling. So, when I saw the spacious, stylish, and comfortable common areas at Huanlin, I was truly surprised. For a B&B, such amenities feel quite luxurious. The room itself is large with simple decor, comfortable bedding, and a full set of disposable toiletries. It also features smart home appliances throughout. Everything was pretty much perfect, except for the bathroom door not having a lock. The B&B is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute walk from the scenic area entrance and the visitor center. The hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming. After our visit to Fanjing Mountain the next day, she even proactively helped us arrange transport to Tongren, cut us some watermelon, and invited us to share their homemade lunch. Beyond her excellent customer service, she was constantly busy with renovations for the outdoor space in the backyard. It's clear she's put a lot of heart into running this B&B, and I believe she'll bring even more wonderful improvements to Huanlin Courtyard."

"A very nice, quiet little guesthouse. Only stayed here for two nights to visit the nearby mountain, but everything was great. "Seriously stumbled upon a hidden gem! The location is fantastic, and the free parking is such a lifesaver. The room comes with a projector for movies, a mini-fridge, and even a washer, dryer, and iron – everything you could possibly need. "We originally booked a single room, but the front desk manager saw that there were two children at home, so he upgraded us to a standard room. You can also drink tea, and there are 4 bottles of free mineral water. I like drinking tea. I checked out the vine tea and it tasted good. I was prepared to say that the mineral water was not enough. I bought 2 bottles and called the front desk. They actually gave me 2 more bottles for free. It was very heart-warming. When I went to the room, I saw it and it was beyond compare. Imagine that the hotel is very new and clean. The attitude of the waiters is also very good. The breakfast is also very complete. Especially the omelette is delicious. The noodles are also very OK. It is also close to Fanjingshan Park. All in all, it is a very satisfying experience. Highly recommended. The key is to stay here. There is also an underground garage, which is free."

The riverside right by the entrance is simply enchanting. Waking up and pulling back the curtains in the morning, I was greeted by a soft mist cloaking the distant views and the river, truly like a wonderland. A stroll down to the riverbank was incredibly invigorating. I'll definitely return for another stay if time permits. It happened to be the Dragon Boat Festival, and the owner thoughtfully prepared Zongzi (rice dumplings) and the local specialty, Miancai Ba, early that morning. It gave me such a heartwarming, home-away-from-home feeling.

This treasure-level homestay is highly recommended ～ First of all, let’s talk about the environment. The homestay is located near the entrance of Fanjing Mountain Scenic Area. You can directly reach the door by renting. Parking is also very convenient. It is surrounded by mountains (she has a golden teak tree for more than 300 years at the door of her house. Looking up at the strong trunks of her house, the air is particularly fresh, tens of meters away is the Zhaisha suspension bridge, the river is clear to the bottom... The decoration of the homestay is Chinese style, there are various wood carving ornaments collected by the boss, the room is elegant, clean and tidy, no smell, The mattress and bedding are very comfortable. I very seldom give negative reviews. I think this is my worse hotel experience in Guizhou. Pros: room is of decent size. Elevator and many restaurants near the hotel. Cons: room was not thoroughly cleaned, there were dead mosquitoes on the curtain and also on the pillow. The room stinks, with cigarette smell. The heating system takes a while to function properly At night, I heard noises thinking it was from outside, only to find out it came from the bathroom. Maybe another guest was taking a shower, and since the pipes were not insulated properly, I could hear water draining. Woke up in the middle of the night due to insect bites. Darn annoying. Needless to say, I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone

I was exploring Guizhou and decided to hike Fanmingshan. Compared to others, this was a reasonable price and distance to the scenic area. The immediate surrounding village 寨沙东 had some restaurants and stores (although I walked up the road to eat) and was 40 min walk to the entrance. A few other lodging choices are in more remote sections of the river, with only 1 or 2 store fronts or none at all；while a bit cheaper may have no easy transportation or drive options. I was the only person staying and got upgraded, and enjoyed their light breakfast in the morning. The room was well furnished and had a built-in mattress heater which was excellent in the winter. The owner also helped drive me to the entrance and also arrange the 35 rmb shuttle back to Tongren HSR. All in all excellent value and hospitality!

This is, without a doubt, the best place to stay when climbing Mount Fanjing. As long as you can make it to the Fanjing Mountain parking lot, the owner will take care of everything else for you, including accommodation, meals, parking, tickets, and getting you in with the first group. The guesthouse is located within the scenic area, a two-story wooden building with all rooms on the second floor. The shower water is wonderfully hot and has great pressure. The owner and his wife are fantastic! They provide pick-up and drop-off service between the scenic area parking lot and the guesthouse. We even entered the scenic area with the owner as part of the first group in the morning, and successfully summited Red Cloud Golden Peak with my 80-year-old father.

The hotel was easy to find, with parking right out front. The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was spotlessly clean. The bed was large enough, and there were two sinks in the bathroom. The shower water was great, and they even provided bathrobes and a shoehorn. It had a smart toilet and a smart speaker (Xiao Du). The ashtray was quite classy, and there's an elevator. The hotel itself is elegant and stylish. My stay was a perfect ten. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I was pleasantly surprised on my first trip here. I booked such a wonderful guesthouse right away. The owner was kind and friendly, and even helped me with my luggage. The courtyard layout was exactly what I wanted, and the cleanliness was also excellent. I would definitely come back again. It was a very satisfying experience!

Location, location, location! It is only 200m walk away from the queue entrance of Fanjing Mountain. If you are taking the direct bus from Tongren Station / Tongren Bus Station, you shall alight at the Fanjing Mountain Tourist Information Centre and the homestay is just about 250m away. As we are foreigner and unclear of which direction to walk to, we contacted the boss to pick us up. The boss assisted with our luggage and guided us patiently on the directions. He suggested us to pay Zhaisha Dong Village a visit if time permits. The boss even drove us back and forth to as there isn't Didi service up in the mountain. The room of the homestay is spacious, clean and new. The boss and his father are super nice and enthusiastic. Fanjing Mountain is grand but has lots of bugs and mosquitoes. So do remember to bring along your insect repellent.

Location is mins walk to fanjingshan ticket ctr and entrance. The bed is uncomfortable, cos I could feel the uneven part . Otherwise, it is a pleasant stay and Ah Kwang is very helpful. They also helped me to send my charger and updated me . At times there is no one at the counter but they respond fast via wechat. Don't eat at the breakfast shop next to it and street stall along the alley towards fanjingshan entrance.They will sell you food that's not fresh and oil that's rancid... horrible..

The hillside guesthouse felt like a warm welcome home after a long, tiring day at work. Even before arriving, the owner contacted me to remind me to buy tickets, offering plenty of advice and hiking tips, along with transportation information. There was no need to plan anything here; everything was taken care of – food, accommodation, transportation, and entertainment. Upon arrival, the housekeeper warmly helped with our luggage, and the owner greeted us enthusiastically, like old friends even though we'd never met before. After check-in, we were immediately offered sparkling water, iced coffee, and welcome fruit. The air conditioning was already on, and the room was clean and hygienic, with a small courtyard for easy access. Breakfast wasn't as lavish as a hotel meal, but it was delicious: minced meat rice noodles, fried eggs, steamed corn bread, steamed corn, and millet cakes – the taste was unlike anything you'd find in a pre-made meal. They even packed up the leftovers for us to take hiking. After breakfast, the owner drove us to the scenic area in his Porsche. The scenic area was only 1 kilometer from the guesthouse, but he insisted on driving us there, saying parking would be inconvenient late at night. He also offered to pick us up on the way back, but we took a taxi – very convenient indeed. What surprised me most when we returned to the guesthouse after our hike was the foot bath tub they had provided. We sat in the pavilion, sipping tea and soaking our feet – it was incredibly relaxing. I'll definitely come back and recommend it to my friends. Goodbye!
