"Unexpectedly good, perhaps my expectations weren't high to begin with.
First off, the room was on the executive floor with a lake view, and the scenery was excellent, even better at night. I have photos to prove it, and I was very satisfied with this. There are also popular photo spots like the telephone booth nearby. The food street is within walking distance, and the Livestock Research Institute is great for a visit. Further afield, the Gaodong Tunnels are also fantastic!
The executive lounge offered standard snacks and drinks, but their special cocktail was a fruity drink with a hint of alcohol, which was right up my alley.
The breakfast included incredibly delicious braised pork rice. You could add as much braised pork as you liked, and it was even better than the braised pork rice I had at two popular Kinmen influencer restaurants over the past couple of days. The breakfast selection was also quite rich.
The room itself was great in all aspects, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The only thing I wasn't used to was that they only provided one reusable bottle for water (I've traveled all over the world, and many hotels in Europe and America aren't this 'eco-friendly'), but it's a minor detail. The fridge also had complimentary drinks. So, all in all, it's a five-star review! I highly recommend staying at this hotel!"

"I came to Golden Gate for 3 days because of important things, but I was lucky to live in this great homestay. The antique triad, the double room with a private bathroom, washing machine, and perfect equipment. The boss & the proprietress tried their best to meet the needs of the guests, and cleaned the environment very clean and tidy. Service includes: free pick-up and drop-off, free breakfast. The breakfast is super delicious, it is a fresh sugar-free soy milk, local steamed buns, meat buns, and even 3 days of eating. I really recommend everyone to choose this homestay when you go to Golden Gate 😁"

"The guesthouse offers airport or pier pick-up and drop-off services. It's basically a converted house, but the rooms are nice and well-equipped, and most importantly, they're very new. The owner is very helpful and grateful for reminding us about the typhoon the next day, urging us to go to the pier early to wait in line, as the ferry was only operating two trips due to the typhoon. We arrived early and got a spot on the waiting list, thus avoiding the risk of not being able to get to Xiamen. They also held our room until check-out time so we could continue staying if we couldn't make it to Xiamen."

"This time I stayed at this youth hostel really exceeded expectations! First of all, the location is very good. There are 711 and Kang is beautiful downstairs. There are also shops selling specialties and souvenirs. It is very close to Jincheng Station and the business district. It is super convenient to go out and forage. It also provides free luggage storage after check-out. It is too friendly for people who take the boat until the afternoon.
The most moving thing is that the boss is very warm and thoughtful. Today, I was going to take the bus to the pier. It happened that the boss was going there. I was directly tied up without saying anything. I really helped!
In terms of accommodation experience, the beds were clean and tidy. The boss said that he had experience of living in the Youth Hostel, so he specially picked a soft mattress. It really slept very comfortably and the water pressure of the bathing facilities was great. This store has both the social atmosphere of the Youth Hostel and the comfort of the hotel. It is highly recommended!"

1. Service: All the staff at the hotel provided very thoughtful, meticulous, and attentive service. Everyone had a sunny smile on their face and was able to respond to our needs immediately at any time.

I forgot to lock the door before going out several times, and ran back to lock the door. The sound insulation is not good, and the guests outside can hear the conversation clearly. Very exquisite and warm homestay ～ The beautiful environment makes people feel happy. The service is also quite intimate. The plants in the homestay are carefully designed and planted by the boss himself. The breakfast provided is also quite exquisite and rich in local characteristics. A wonderful stay experience! I hope Chen Jiayuan will get better and better. I will choose to live here when I have the opportunity to go to Jinmen again! 🫰

Environment: I heard that it was a house left by a general, so it has the most unique roof in the neighborhood. I also heard that the house was over a hundred years old and was renovated this year. It’s really easy to take pictures inside. You can take good photos from every angle, and there is a small yard in the front and back.
Then there is a back mountain nearby, and in front is the well-preserved Zhushan settlement. It is very comfortable to walk around when you have time.
Cleanliness: The entire B&B was very clean and I felt very comfortable when I stayed there.
Facilities: The facilities are very complete, even the hair dryer is from Daisen (only small suggestion, I hope it comes with conditioner)
Service: The boss and the landlady are really nice people. We got in touch before we went there, chatted a lot, and gave us a lot of help and suggestions. They provided free pick-up and drop-off for arrival and departure. They also gave us a lot of recommendations and suggestions when we were in the local area. Help, and later we chatted and heard that they met and got to know each other when they were working as tour guides in Xiamen, and then they also owned a small shop in Jincheng Town. They are a very hard-working family.

The guesthouse room was fantastic—clean, tidy, and beautiful. The owner was also incredibly kind; I felt a genuine warmth emanating from him. It was my first time traveling alone, and I was a little worried about feeling lonely. But the owner was like an older brother, offering me all sorts of help; I felt a familial bond with him. If any friends ever visit Kinmen, I will definitely recommend this guesthouse!

Although I didn't see the owner or the shopkeeper, I still gave it a five-star review, made a perfect braised egg, and won a battlefield postcard (though I don't know where it is). Overall, the place was very clean and had a very cultural feel.
I experienced the scenery of Kinmen, which was completely different from typical accommodations. I recommend everyone try it.
The rooms have suites and backpacker-style mixed accommodations.
The driving route took a long time to reach the large square in front of the accommodation (parking is available). I suggest making road signs or an online map to help drivers get in. We got lost for a long time when we drove in (of course, motorcyclists can just squeeze in without this trouble), and we also got lost for a long time when we came out, haha 😂 but it was a fun experience. Everything else was great. 👍

Guest UserThe guesthouse owner is very nice. If you're traveling with children, you need to arrange check-in in advance, and they can also help coordinate a late check-out. The room has a large bed, perfect for families with children. The guesthouse is located in the town center, near Jinshang Wanxing convenience store, a Shandong duck head shop, and a Cosmed pharmacy. If you don't have time to buy local specialties, you can easily grab some within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again next time.

Such a clean B&B! The owners are incredibly nice, and they offer breakfast with a choice of congee, sandwiches, and soy milk. The fried dough sticks are super crispy and delicious – worth waking up early for! The room has a fridge, which is great for keeping drinks. The only downside is that the fridge compressor sometimes makes a noise, but I'm a heavy sleeper, so I didn't hear it at all while sleeping. All the facilities are perfect. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

Jack was super helpful with information about the ferry tickets, and even made an extra trip back to the port because I Ieft my umbrella behind. And his mom was very kind and welcoming too.
A note to those who may be sensitive: there was a faint musty smell, which I’ve found common to many hotels and guest houses in humid climates like Taiwan. Earplugs are recommended for light sleepers, since you can hear courtyard and street noise in the room. Plan ahead for cash: nearby restaurants are cash-only, and the nearest atm is at 7-11, about a 20 minute walk away.

I had a really pleasant stay at Kivala Hostel. The place was very clean and well looked after, especially the bathrooms and sleeping areas, which made a big difference for a hostel. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with, and the check-in process was smooth.
The location is quiet and peaceful, which I personally liked, though it’s a little away from the main busy areas — something to keep in mind if you want everything right outside your door. The common areas were comfortable and practical, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and respectful rather than noisy or chaotic.
Overall, it’s great value for money and a solid choice if you want a clean, comfortable, and relaxed place to stay in Kinmen. I’d happily stay here again.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel and cannot recommend it enough. Everything was fantastic from start to finish.
The highlight of my stay was definitely the owner; she is incredibly kind and helpful. She went above and beyond to assist me in renting an electric scooter, which made exploring the area so much easier.
The property was spotlessly clean, and the location is very convenient. There is a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, which was very handy. If you are looking for a great place to stay with top-notch service, this is it.

Because they are not in the city, they originally wanted to rent a locomotive, but because it rained, and I was too late to say that the car rental place has been closed (18:00), so I had to stop, but fortunately there is a bus stop near the hotel. The traffic to the airport and the city center is quite convenient. It is not necessary to rent a locomotive or take a taxi, but the bus runs every hour. You have to pay attention to the station time. Jincheng drives on time. But it takes 10 minutes to get to the hotel. If it is slow, it will be about 20 minutes.
