"A beautiful, historic homestay near the port with excellent service. High-quality bedding and comfortable beds. Walking in and hearing Celine Dion made it even more quaint 😂
Jack was super helpful with information about the ferry tickets, and even made an extra trip back to the port because I Ieft my umbrella behind. And his mom was very kind and welcoming too.
A note to those who may be sensitive: there was a faint musty smell, which I’ve found common to many hotels and guest houses in humid climates like Taiwan. Earplugs are recommended for light sleepers, since you can hear courtyard and street noise in the room. Plan ahead for cash: nearby restaurants are cash-only, and the nearest atm is at 7-11, about a 20 minute walk away."

"The guesthouse in Yangjiao Village, Kinmen was absolutely fantastic! My husband and I had a wonderful time there! 😁😁 The large room was clean and comfortable, and the owner was incredibly kind, providing pick-up and drop-off service – so touching!!
The staff were very helpful, the room had fresh air, and the bathroom and bedding had absolutely no odor. If you ever have the chance to stay at this guesthouse, I highly recommend it!

"The General Bing Guest House is actually next to the General Bing Office. It is reported everywhere at the nearby Lidao Light Brigade counter. The young lady is very kind and will send you to the General Bing Guest House to inform you of the points of attention to enter and exit. There are two rooms downstairs and six rooms upstairs. There is a large living room on the first floor and the second floor. There is a shared refrigerator, microwave water dispenser. We are 202 rooms, two small beds, clean and hygienic, hot water is sufficient, air conditioning is powerful, and the network is reliable. The surrounding area is Jinchengzhen Old Street. It takes about five minutes to walk from the Jincheng Bus Terminal. Jincheng Town is the most prosperous and important town in Jinmen. The bus here is equivalent to a transfer station. You have to take a ride here everywhere. The gospel of cheap and good travelers."

"It has everything you need, even toothbrushes, though I'd recommend bringing your own. Slippers are provided, and there's plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! The owner is really nice, and for this price, you can't ask for much more – it's excellent value for money. Plus, there are plenty of food and drink options within walking distance. The bed was clean. The owner runs the place themselves, which isn't easy, so if you have extremely high expectations, this might not be the place for you."

GGuest UserIt was a great stay at the 7 inn. The host picked up us from the airport on arrival day and sent us to the ferry terminal before departure. The room was very clean with an attached bathroom with no need to share. There’s a busy kitchen but you can always ask if you need to use it for anything. The location is about 2km away from the city center so it’s easier to get around if you get a bike/rental. The host knows all the history about the place and beyond, a super knowledgeable guide when he showed us around the town and gave us tips and recommendations for local activities and restaurants. We only stayed one night and the host took us to the “燕南书院” which had a spectacular paranormal view of the island and a great place to spot the wild peacocks, a perfect ending for our trip to Kinmen. Will definitely be back and stay here next time ❤️

Ll!ang:( The location is a bit far from the city center. The door only has a chain lock; there's no regular lock to close it securely. The mattress and pillows are rather soft. The entire building is open-plan; anyone can come and go (but there are full security cameras). The kitchen lacks a microwave.
:) The entire building and the room are clean and tidy. The surrounding environment is sparsely populated and quiet. There's a bus stop nearby, a three-minute walk away. The bathroom has strong hot water. The kitchen has an induction cooker, cookware, tableware, a refrigerator, etc., making it convenient to cook. There are two open-air courtyards, one large and one small, which are great for relaxing and chatting.
Overall, it's good and suitable for group bookings.

The boss's son is very warm and friendly.
The location is very convenient, about a 5-minute walk to Jincheng Station. There are also several good restaurants within a 5-minute walk. Compared to hotels near the station, I think this hotel offers a quiet environment while also providing enough convenience.
The homestay has 3 floors, but I live on the ground floor and have never been upstairs; looking at the skylight feels really nice!
In addition, if you rent an electric scooter, you may have to park it nearby instead of outside the house. If you have plans, you should communicate with the B&B in advance.

GGuest UserThe homestay is a short walk from the bus stop (for buses No Red 1 and No 2 from the main Kinmen town of Jincheng) and a 7-11 convenience store. The traditional Fujian building is beautiful and an attraction in itself, with an atmospheric courtyard where guests could chill with coffee and/or a meal. But it has been newly renovated with modern amenities, and the place is very clean and well kept.
The host was warm and really very helpful. When he heard that we wanted to walk up Mt Taiwu, he drove us to the start of the walking trail. He also gave us a contact for a taxi driver in case we needed a ride back. And when he learnt that we were tracing our ancestors, he brought us to meet an elder who might have a family register. Really thankful to have met a host like him.

The owner went above and beyond by personally driving me to a money changer, as Kinmen is not yet fully cashless—most merchants and taxis still rely on cash transactions, with limited card payment options. The property itself is spotless, well-maintained, and offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a comfortable and restful stay. I strongly recommend this place for visitors who need a quiet n clean place to stay on your vacation here in Kinmen.

SSawa07Located right behind the Kinjo Bus Terminal, you can reach it in just a 1-minute walk. Only stairs, but not too painful. The hostess explained it carefully. A warm air heater was also prepared for the cold at night. There is also a delicious Guangdong porridge shop where you can walk in 5 minutes. I think it is a good location near the convenience store.

GGuest UserI had a really pleasant stay at Kivala Hostel. The place was very clean and well looked after, especially the bathrooms and sleeping areas, which made a big difference for a hostel. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with, and the check-in process was smooth.
The location is quiet and peaceful, which I personally liked, though it’s a little away from the main busy areas — something to keep in mind if you want everything right outside your door. The common areas were comfortable and practical, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and respectful rather than noisy or chaotic.
Overall, it’s great value for money and a solid choice if you want a clean, comfortable, and relaxed place to stay in Kinmen. I’d happily stay here again.

GGuest UserSuper cost-effective! Located in the city center, there are restaurants, convenience stores and supermarkets downstairs. The living space is large, and it is very comfortable for one person or three people. There is a small balcony. There is a refrigerator and two sinks. The hot water for bathing is very stable. The corridor looks like a school dormitory. I miss school. It is quiet and I didn't hear anyone passing by outside the house.

Some reviewers said the area isn’t super lively with restaurants right outside, but it’s peaceful and a good base for exploring by bike or scooter.
