"Located in the Zhushan settlement, I highly recommend getting up early and taking a walk to experience the beauty of Zhushan. The staff were very easy to communicate with! The service was excellent! I checked in quite late (around 11 PM), and they had a very convenient self-check-in system. Although I accidentally had my room password changed during my check-in and couldn't log in 🤣, communication was prompt, and it didn't cause any significant delays. However, if you're staying in a two-story room, the stairs are a bit steep!"

"I came to Golden Gate for 3 days because of important things, but I was lucky to live in this great homestay. The antique triad, the double room with a private bathroom, washing machine, and perfect equipment. The boss & the proprietress tried their best to meet the needs of the guests, and cleaned the environment very clean and tidy. Service includes: free pick-up and drop-off, free breakfast. The breakfast is super delicious, it is a fresh sugar-free soy milk, local steamed buns, meat buns, and even 3 days of eating. I really recommend everyone to choose this homestay when you go to Golden Gate 😁"

"A beautiful, historic homestay near the port with excellent service. High-quality bedding and comfortable beds. Walking in and hearing Celine Dion made it even more quaint 😂 Jack was super helpful with information about the ferry tickets, and even made an extra trip back to the port because I Ieft my umbrella behind. And his mom was very kind and welcoming too. A note to those who may be sensitive: there was a faint musty smell, which I’ve found common to many hotels and guest houses in humid climates like Taiwan. Earplugs are recommended for light sleepers, since you can hear courtyard and street noise in the room. Plan ahead for cash: nearby restaurants are cash-only, and the nearest atm is at 7-11, about a 20 minute walk away."

"Stayed at Dongdianhong B&B for two nights, and now I think back, my heart is still warm. The boss and the proprietress are like the elders of the neighboring family. They don't talk much but they are thoughtful everywhere. Every day they go out, they will carefully tell us to bring water and pay attention to sun protection. What touched me most was the day before I left, because the weather was too hot and I accidentally had heatstroke, and the whole person was dizzy. The boss didn't say anything, personally drove me to deal with it, and he always cared about my state along the way. It is really unforgettable to encounter such kindness in a foreign country. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was quiet. If you come to Golden Gate, what you want is not a room, but a humane place to stay. It is right to choose here. "Located in the city center with convenient transportation, it's close to both Cantonese congee and late-night barbecue restaurants. The front desk staff are very friendly, making it a top choice for both tourists and business travelers. The only downsides are that the restaurant is somewhat damp (and has a slight odor). Although it's only been open for six years, the decor is rather basic. Personally, I prefer a quieter environment, and the air conditioning, especially in the bathroom, is quite noisy, which can affect sleep. Those who don't have this problem shouldn't worry too much. Also, booking through the platform might be slightly more expensive than calling the restaurant directly; those interested can call to inquire and compare prices."

The homestay is a short walk from the bus stop (for buses No Red 1 and No 2 from the main Kinmen town of Jincheng) and a 7-11 convenience store. The traditional Fujian building is beautiful and an attraction in itself, with an atmospheric courtyard where guests could chill with coffee and/or a meal. But it has been newly renovated with modern amenities, and the place is very clean and well kept. The host was warm and really very helpful. When he heard that we wanted to walk up Mt Taiwu, he drove us to the start of the walking trail. He also gave us a contact for a taxi driver in case we needed a ride back. And when he learnt that we were tracing our ancestors, he brought us to meet an elder who might have a family register. Really thankful to have met a host like him.

Thanks to the receptionist who came to pick me up at the port, although it seemed they had only provided shuttle service between the airport and the hostel before. The room was really clean and cozy, and a variety of biscuits, tea bags, and coffee were provided for free in the lobby. such a really warm and lovely place, and the service impressed me a lot. It's just a bit inconvenient about its location, it would be better if rent a car or scooter after checking in.

The guesthouse room was fantastic—clean, tidy, and beautiful. The owner was also incredibly kind; I felt a genuine warmth emanating from him. It was my first time traveling alone, and I was a little worried about feeling lonely. But the owner was like an older brother, offering me all sorts of help; I felt a familial bond with him. If any friends ever visit Kinmen, I will definitely recommend this guesthouse!

The service was excellent; the uncle and auntie were very warm and hospitable. The environment was clean and tidy. Although the room wasn't large, it was small but perfectly equipped. The only drawback, or perhaps an advantage, was the convenient transportation. The guesthouse is located next to a main road, and you can often hear motorcycles whizzing by.

Although I didn't see the owner or the shopkeeper, I still gave it a five-star review, made a perfect braised egg, and won a battlefield postcard (though I don't know where it is). Overall, the place was very clean and had a very cultural feel. I experienced the scenery of Kinmen, which was completely different from typical accommodations. I recommend everyone try it. The rooms have suites and backpacker-style mixed accommodations. The driving route took a long time to reach the large square in front of the accommodation (parking is available). I suggest making road signs or an online map to help drivers get in. We got lost for a long time when we drove in (of course, motorcyclists can just squeeze in without this trouble), and we also got lost for a long time when we came out, haha ​​😂 but it was a fun experience. Everything else was great. 👍

The guesthouse owner is very nice. If you're traveling with children, you need to arrange check-in in advance, and they can also help coordinate a late check-out. The room has a large bed, perfect for families with children. The guesthouse is located in the town center, near Jinshang Wanxing convenience store, a Shandong duck head shop, and a Cosmed pharmacy. If you don't have time to buy local specialties, you can easily grab some within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again next time.

I had a really pleasant stay at Kivala Hostel. The place was very clean and well looked after, especially the bathrooms and sleeping areas, which made a big difference for a hostel. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with, and the check-in process was smooth. The location is quiet and peaceful, which I personally liked, though it’s a little away from the main busy areas — something to keep in mind if you want everything right outside your door. The common areas were comfortable and practical, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and respectful rather than noisy or chaotic. Overall, it’s great value for money and a solid choice if you want a clean, comfortable, and relaxed place to stay in Kinmen. I’d happily stay here again.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel and cannot recommend it enough. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. The highlight of my stay was definitely the owner; she is incredibly kind and helpful. She went above and beyond to assist me in renting an electric scooter, which made exploring the area so much easier. The property was spotlessly clean, and the location is very convenient. There is a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, which was very handy. If you are looking for a great place to stay with top-notch service, this is it.

Located right behind the Kinjo Bus Terminal, you can reach it in just a 1-minute walk. Only stairs, but not too painful. The hostess explained it carefully. A warm air heater was also prepared for the cold at night. There is also a delicious Guangdong porridge shop where you can walk in 5 minutes. I think it is a good location near the convenience store.

Because they are not in the city, they originally wanted to rent a locomotive, but because it rained, and I was too late to say that the car rental place has been closed (18:00), so I had to stop, but fortunately there is a bus stop near the hotel. The traffic to the airport and the city center is quite convenient. It is not necessary to rent a locomotive or take a taxi, but the bus runs every hour. You have to pay attention to the station time. Jincheng drives on time. But it takes 10 minutes to get to the hotel. If it is slow, it will be about 20 minutes.
