Jingyuan Piao - Exclusive Courtyard with Panoramic Forest Views & Serene Garden Retreat

The central air conditioning in the room heated up quickly and kept it quite warm. I have two suggestions: 1. The toilet could be upgraded to a smart one, which would better match the reception area and room layout. Plus, it would prevent a cold backside. (I had to ask the cleaning staff for a toilet seat cover, which really should be readily available in the bathroom, especially in winter to avoid it being so cold). 2. The decorative pebbles on the floor are a tripping hazard when going to the bathroom at night. The slippers could also be replaced with better quality ones with thicker soles. **Location:** It's alright, not too far from everything (within walking distance). **Cleanliness:** Decent. The duvet was a bit thin, but I'm from the North where duvets are generally thicker. **Service:** Pretty good. The owner seems to be a 'slow living' type, whereas we were constantly on the go due to changes in our itinerary. **Environment:** It seems to be in a village, but the surroundings are nice. There's a small pavilion in the courtyard that would probably be lovely in the summer. The rooms also have a balcony, but we never had time to sit out there, always leaving early and returning late. If you're looking for a similar slow pace, this place is worth considering, especially when the weather is good. The small tour group recommended by the owner was excellent. I know my membership level isn't high, so my feedback might not carry much weight, but I hope the owner considers it.

Facilities: Really liked the decor, all solid wood. Hygiene: Smart toilet, separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. Environment: Has a balcony with a small table and chairs, great for having coffee and enjoying the view. Location: Easy parking, and it's just across the road from the ancient town.

The hotel was clean, spacious, and bright, with convenient facilities. The service was excellent, warm, and efficient. The room rate was very reasonable, and the owner was really nice. Plus, parking was free. I had a very satisfying stay.

This is truly bizarre. I booked this place from Dali and was set to arrive around 8 PM. It seemed like the housekeeper, a shorter man who claimed to be the boss, had a terrible attitude when I simply asked for directions. He said, "You're arriving too late." I found that incredibly unreasonable. The room we stayed in had a balcony, and we weren't sure how to close it; he didn't bother to help. I ended up closing it myself and even broke a nail in the process. But that wasn't even the most outrageous part. The absolute worst was walking in and finding large and small circles all over the bedsheets – you know the kind – clearly indicating someone had already used the bed. We had to call the auntie to change them. Then, he started rambling about how the fresh flower cakes we bought weren't good, and kept pestering us, repeatedly asking where we were going and trying to sell us tickets. In the morning, that same man started talking to the cleaning auntie in a language I didn't understand, and it woke me up at 6 AM because the soundproofing was terrible. I couldn't stand it anymore the next day, so I decided to leave. I left my belongings at the counter and went out to grab a bite, accidentally taking the room card with me, but it was still before noon. This man then called me, going on and on about me taking the room card. I told him I'd bring it back after I finished eating and that he'd have to wait for me to finish my meal. His attitude upon my arrival at the hotel was absolutely horrendous. I've been to Lijiang so many times, and this was by far the worst experience! Everything I've said is true, with pictures to prove it!

The guesthouse is well-equipped: the air conditioning works great, hot water is always available, and the bedding is fresh. The hygiene is meticulously maintained; every nook and cranny is spotless, and the bathroom is dry and odor-free. It made for a very comfortable and reassuring stay!
