Whenever I visit Osaka, the Marriott is always my top choice. It's perfectly situated for transport, dining, and shopping. During check-in, the hotel thoughtfully provided samples of a new SK-II product, which was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel gym, though small, is fully equipped with everything you need. And the observatory on the top floor offers the absolute best views. Both in terms of facilities and service, the Osaka Marriott Hotel is definitely my first pick for any trip.

Sheraton Osaka came highly recommended online, and after comparing it myself, I can confirm it's indeed an excellent choice. First off, the transportation is incredibly convenient. You can take a direct bus from the airport straight to the hotel's doorstep, which is much easier than taking the subway. It costs 1800 JPY per adult, and children are half price. Right downstairs, you'll find both Kintetsu and subway lines (I still don't quite understand the difference between Kintetsu and the regular subway, but I think they're just different operating companies). The hotel has direct access to the subway: you go down to B1, exit, and then go down one more level to reach the station. You can even get children's subway cards at a staffed counter there, which saves you the hassle of dealing with crowded counters at the airport. Namba is just two direct stops away. For Shinsaibashi, you transfer at Namba and it's another two stops, though honestly, it's not a long walk from Namba either. You can also take two stops to Tsutenkaku Zoo. For Universal Studios Japan, I took one stop on the Kintetsu line to Tsuruhashi, then transferred to the JR line, which was also very convenient.
Right next to the hotel is a Kintetsu Department Store. It's not the main branch (I always get them mixed up!), but it's very well-stocked. It even has a Daiso and an Edion, and both offer tax-free shopping. There are also dining options on the 12th floor. If you walk through the department store, you'll find a McDonald's, Uniqlo, and Muji. A little further down, there's a Yoshinoya and an ABC-Mart. Basically, all your shopping needs are covered. There's a supermarket in the basement, which was where we usually grabbed things for breakfast. If you don't feel like going to the supermarket, there are also 7-Elevens and Lawsons nearby. The 7-Eleven on the ground floor is quite large, and across the street, you'll find a Lawson drugstore and another Daiso.
The hotel rooms are also quite spacious. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Budget hostel. Location is convenient. Only two stops to Namba. We booked triple room, The space is tight and small so not recommended if you bring large luggage. The beds are a bit dusty and pillows are too thin. The bathroom is clean and has many shower rooms for guests. It is on the first floor, while the toilet is on the third floor, so we have to go down and up from our room on the second floor.

Getting around was very convenient from here, much more so than Umeda, where I stayed afterwards – Umeda's transport system felt like a confusing maze. The Tennoji Station area, by contrast, is straightforward and easy to navigate. We were two adults and two young children (aged 5 and 3, both under 1.2m and 1m respectively). Even with children so small, we were still charged per person. Given this, having four people in the same room wasn't particularly cost-effective. However, that's just how things are in Japan, and we had to go with the flow. Also, it's worth noting that most city hotels here don't provide complimentary bottled water.
The room itself was small but clean, and overall comfortable. Hope this review helps!

The location is excellent, right next to Kintetsu Department Store and Tennoji subway station. It's a very bustling area, surrounded by shopping malls. The room was small, and the window couldn't be opened. Had I known this, I probably wouldn't have booked here. Aside from a rather unremarkable outdoor view, it was otherwise quite decent.
However, the hotel's listing on Ctrip didn't provide clear directions from the subway station, so I had to rely on piecing together information from other guest reviews to find my way. Tennoji station is massive, and it's easy to get lost or pick the wrong exit. I had trouble finding the Yilan Ramen shop at first. The hotel staff didn't speak Chinese, and their English was very limited, so we had to use translation apps to communicate.
Oh, and upon check-in, I was informed of an additional tax of about 10 Chinese Yuan (CNY) per night. My booking with Ctrip clearly stated that taxes were included, but I never ended up following up with them about it.

Excellent location. Just opposite the train and metro station. Department stores are nearby also. Though the facility is a bit old, it is kept clean and comfortable. Breakfast has fair types of variety but dishes are often cold. Overall, it is a good place to stay.

This guesthouse is in an excellent location, just a stone's throw from Tenkachaya Station, offering incredibly convenient transportation. You'll find not only the Nankai Electric Railway with direct access to Kansai Airport, but also multiple subway lines. The rooms are exceptionally spacious and bright, decorated in a modern, minimalist style, and come with brand-new, well-equipped facilities. The air conditioning is powerful and cools efficiently, and the hot water supply is plentiful and consistent, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The surrounding area has excellent amenities, with a large supermarket within walking distance and plenty of dining options like KFC, McDonald's, Sukiya, and Gyoza no Ohsho all nearby, making shopping and daily errands incredibly convenient. Given its outstanding value for money, rooms here are often fully booked, so I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Osaka!

This was a last-minute trip, and I found this place on Ctrip. Since we preferred not to stay in a standard hotel, we opted for this minpaku.
Honestly, before our trip, I'd seen a few rather harsh reviews, so I prepared for the worst-case scenario. I packed all our essentials and even pre-warned my child, just in case those negative comments turned out to be true and they got upset. As it turned out, my worries were completely unfounded – I'd overthought everything!
Before we left, we added them on WeChat, and the staff were incredibly responsive, replying almost instantly. They provided detailed instructions on how to get there and information about luggage storage. Since check-in time in Japan is typically after 4 PM, if you arrive on an early flight like us, their minpaku has a designated luggage storage area in the lobby. There's CCTV, but no staff supervision, so remember to keep your valuables with you.
The minpaku is conveniently located near Tenkachaya Station. Right outside the exit, there's a sizable supermarket, KFC, Osaka Ohsho, and other dining options. In fact, on previous trips, I always made sure to visit that supermarket daily. The minpaku is about a 10-minute walk from the station; we managed it easily with two large suitcases, and our family of three, including our ten-year-old, didn't find the walk strenuous at all.
The property is divided into three buildings: A, B, and C. You'll know which building your room is in by the first letter of your room number, as provided by the staff, so be careful not to go to the wrong one. We actually went to Building B by mistake and were searching everywhere for our keys until we bumped into a staff member coming out – a super friendly young man with glasses. He jokingly asked, 'You should just call us if you need help! Why were you quietly searching by yourselves?' He then directed us to the correct building, which was right next door, and everything proceeded smoothly from there.
Our room on the third floor was around 30 square meters, and we found both the cleanliness and amenities to be excellent. Some previous guests mentioned noise issues, but we didn't encounter any in our room. I'd suggest noting any preferences when booking, so the property can do their best to accommodate you, as there is indeed a subway line that runs continuously in front of the minpaku.
If you're coming from Namba or Shinsaibashi, another option is to alight at Hanazonocho Station. There's also a supermarket right outside that exit, and the walk from there is equally convenient. We actually used this route almost every day.

Having visited Japan multiple times, whenever there's availability, I always choose Toyoko Inn without hesitation. Firstly, it offers great value for money, and secondly, the locations are incredibly convenient. This time, traveling to Osaka with friends, Toyoko Inn was once again our top choice.
The hotel is situated between Tennoji and Shin-Imamiya. From Kansai Airport, we took the JR to Tennoji (fare: 1060 JPY), exited the South Gate, and walked for about ten minutes to reach the hotel. Google Maps showed Shin-Imamiya as a slightly longer walk, so I recommend getting off at Tennoji instead.
The hotel is clean, tidy, comfortable, and hygienic. Towels and bath towels are replaced daily, and the shower pressure is excellent, making for a very comfortable experience. On the first floor, there are self-service laundry and drying facilities, as well as luggage storage. Breakfast is served on the second floor; while not overly lavish, it offers unique flavors, and coffee and juice are readily available.
The area around Tennoji boasts a thriving commercial district with major stores like Uniqlo, drugstores, and Onitsuka Tiger, so there's no absolute need to venture all the way to Dotonbori or Shinsaibashi.
Highly recommended!

I chose this hotel primarily for its convenient location near Kintetsu Uehonmachi, which made getting around easy and allowed us to catch the early airport shuttle.
The double room was reasonably spacious; we were pleasantly surprised that the 1.6-meter wide bed didn't feel too cramped for two people.
The bathroom was an integrated unit (meaning the toilet and shower weren't separate), and toiletries needed to be collected from the second floor.
Breakfast options were pretty much the same daily, but they were edible, if a little dry/plain.
Communication with the front desk in English was effortless, and the self-service key card check-out was very straightforward.
Most other services were generally acceptable. However, the most frustrating aspect was the terrible Wi-Fi. The internet speed in our 8th-floor room was incredibly slow. I even noticed a separate Wi-Fi network listed specifically for our room, but the front desk informed me that the entire hotel actually shared just one Wi-Fi network. This left me utterly bewildered.

Amazing
XXiaomin~geThe room is clean and hygienic, with complete facilities. The beds in both rooms are soft, but the bathroom is quite good. The location is close to the subway station, so it is quite convenient to travel. The noise from the subway can still be heard in the room at night, which is a bit of a bummer. Overall, the price-performance ratio is relatively high, and I am quite satisfied with my stay.

LLuoyewushuangThe B&B is newly renovated, with spacious rooms and a washing machine. The double bed is perfect for a family trip. There are two large supermarkets nearby: Aeon and a Japanese-language store. There are also several smaller supermarkets, including Lawson and FamilyMart. Breakfast options include McDonald's and KFC, and dinner options include Wangjiang, Wasujiya, and Matsuya. The B&B wasn't crowded, so it was relatively quiet. I was very satisfied and highly recommend it! Five stars!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is near the train station, easy to travel. The only problem for tourists is probably the small room, which is really small. But I personally like this more than the semi-double room that Japanese hotels like to sell. The hotel changes the toothbrush and towel every day. The room is cleaned every day (if needed). Overall, I like it. I might go back to stay again next time. The only real disadvantage that I personally don't like is that there is no pajamas provided. 🥲
