The 177th hotel we've visited with our little one. This hotel is a fantastic renovation of a national silk factory warehouse from 1951. You'll find silk art pieces and canal-themed elements everywhere, giving it a rich, intangible cultural heritage feel that perfectly blends historical charm with modern comfort. At night, the jellyfish-like lights in the lobby corridor add a dreamy touch. The hotel is conveniently located right next to Dadou Road Historical Block, and Xiangji Temple is just a 5-minute walk away, making it super friendly for getting around. Our room was warm with bright lighting and even had a calligraphy set. The mini-bar was generously stocked with a variety of drinks and snacks. Just two small suggestions: 1. I still miss having a smart toilet a bit, haha. 2. It would be helpful to add more signs. We had to search for a while to find the parking lot, front desk, and even our room.

The room was clean and tidy. Scanning a QR code to go upstairs made me feel safe. It's very close to the subway station, just a few minutes' walk, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs, which is very convenient. I'll definitely come back next time.

This is a great hotel. The service is thoughtful and attentive. I received a call from the hotel a day before check-in, asking if I had any special requests. After I shared them, the hotel tried its best to accommodate, and I was very satisfied upon arrival. The front desk staff were enthusiastic during check-in, and the process was very smooth. The hotel rooms are quite spacious, clean, tidy, and the facilities are relatively new. The breakfast is abundant with a wide variety of options, and the dining environment is comfortable. I drove to the hotel, and the parking lot is large and convenient. Overall, I had a great experience this time and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hangzhou.

Another great stay, I arrived early and I wasn’t sure of the room would be ready but in fact the manager , Alex, recognized me right away and he explained to me that he knows I prefer to stay on top floor but as they were fully booked the rep out night the rooms were begins cleaned when I was checking in, he arranged one floor below and told me I can change the room when the top floor room is ready. The whole check in went very quick and he was very professional. Actually once I got up to the room just about 10 minutes after they called me and mentioned the room on the top floor is ready. They immediately send someone with the new room card so I didn’t even have to go down to pick up the new room card. This hotel is truly great and I’m always happy to stay there. Highly recommend!

Five-star recommendation for Hangzhou Chengbei Wenlan Hotel! The location is superb, just 200 meters from Beidaqiao Station on Metro Line 10, right next to Joy City, making travel and shopping super convenient. The rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The smart ”Xiao Du” system is a great bonus. The front desk service is warm and efficient, responding promptly and making you feel right at home. The breakfast is rich and delicious, and the heated pool and gym facilities are well-equipped. This hotel combines high quality with great value for money, perfect for both business trips and family vacations. I will definitely choose it again next time I visit Hangzhou!

We specifically chose this Canal Retreat Hotel for our child's lessons at the Lang Lang Art Center. The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from the classroom, making drop-off and pick-up incredibly convenient. Nestled in the Dadou Road historic district, the hotel boasts a tranquil and elegant Chinese courtyard, a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city, ideal for children to relax after lessons. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. Falling asleep to the sound of the canal adds a poetic and peaceful touch to the piano learning journey. A top choice for families with children learning piano—highly recommended!

My parents don't have a vacation yet, so my brother and I go out to play. The lady at the front desk is very professional and does a good job in confirming and registering minors. This is really well done. The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. It's very convenient to call a taxi at the hotel location, so you don't have to go elsewhere to wait or get off the car. The environment is good, clean and tidy. The hotel also has a washing machine and a dryer available for use. I hope to add another dryer in the future. There are too many people waiting to use it, hahaha. I really like the big table in the lobby on the first floor! ! ! A different kind of planting. If I come to Hangzhou next time, I will come again if I have a chance~

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! We stayed for two nights, and I especially want to thank Jeff and the entire team for making our stay such a pleasant one. Jeff was incredibly helpful throughout our stay and was always happy to guide us whenever we had questions or needed assistance. The team even surprised us with complimentary breakfast, which was such a delightful touch! The breakfast had a nice selection, and I particularly enjoyed the bread. The hotel also has a well-maintained gym, which was a nice bonus. What I really loved about this hotel was how peaceful and uncrowded it was. It never felt overcrowded or chaotic, and the whole place was very clean, well-kept and relaxing. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. My whole family really enjoyed the stay and came away feeling well-rested. The only downside is that the hotel is slightly further away from the main attractions in the city centre. However, given that their other property closer to the attractions is currently under renovation, I think they have done a great job making up for the distance by providing complimentary transport to the city centre and Xihu (West Lake). This was extremely convenient for us. Overall, we had a wonderful experience here. Thank you again to Jeff and the whole team for taking such good care of us. My entire family loved the stay and we would be very happy to come back again! ❤️

The hotel environment is really nice and clean. It's surrounded by malls, so there are plenty of food options. They even upgraded my room for free and provided afternoon tea. The breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. Very satisfied~

Overall, my stay was excellent. Catherine, in the red uniform, was very warm and attentive, handling the check-in process efficiently. The hotel environment was clean and comfortable, the room had good natural light, and the facilities were well-equipped. The location is superb, making it very convenient to get around to various places. Service response was prompt, and the living experience was pleasant. It's definitely worth staying here, and I would recommend it to friends.
